La boxe thaïlandaise, ou muay-thaï /mweɪ ˈtaɪ/ (thaï : มวยไทย, « boxe du peuple thaï »), abrégée en boxe thaï, est un art martial, et plus précisément, un sport de combat, classé en Occident parmi les boxes pieds-poings.
La boxe thaï trouve son origine dans des pratiques martiales ancestrales, notamment dans le muay boran (boxe traditionnelle) et le krabi krabong (pratique avec les armes). Elle est la plus populaire des boxes du Sud-Est asiatique (boxe birmane, boxe khmère, boxe laotienne, boxe vietnamienne) et doit sa popularité au fait qu’elle est une discipline nationale professionnalisée. Sa pratique permet à de nombreux pratiquants, athlètes (même très jeunes), entraîneurs, managers et promoteurs, d'en vivre. Elle représente un marché lucratif en Thaïlande générant autour d’elle une économie non négligeable. Comme ses cousines elle a la réputation d’être une pratique de combat particulièrement violente et on lui reproche surtout de répandre l'idée selon laquelle « tous les coups sont permis ».

love this its pretty much a bunkai, a kata or patterns of strikes demonstrated through choreographed fights... brilliant to watch and you realise how devastating some of those blows can be if landed.
The show was meant to tell story(I'm thai and I can understand the video) the dude that uploaded this video didn't mention it, at the end of the video you'll see 3 of the fighters thanking the audience and no winner announce, I hope you guys understand

Incase no one knows, THIS is Muay Chaiya. One of the oldest Muay Thai Boran (ancient) style. This is the style that was used during the WAR.

Une démonstration de muay thai est toujours plus impressionnante qu'un vrai combat car on voit plus de possiblités de frappe qui sont difficiles à réaliser dans un combat sportif. On voit aussi beaucoup mieux les racines du muay boran qui est un art martial redoutable. Merci pour ce partage ;-)
