  • @JasonB808
    @JasonB808 22 дня назад

    I think some people are misunderstanding how other factors other than triple digit temperatures on weather forecast can be just as dangerous.
    Mid to high 90s is dangerous if there is also high humidity. Humidity increases heat index more than just temperature. Also Temperature is an average. This means that there are hot spots that could be much hotter. Like if it’s 88 degrees temperature on weather forecasts, but if your in a city with a lot of buildings, concrete, and asphalt, the heat island effect can make the actual temperature for that area much hotter like 95 or even 97. If combined with high humidity, that heat island effect can make heat index from 97 to well over 100.
    Heat Exhaustion is especially dangerous to elderly and young children and can become Heat Stroke if not treated quickly.
    Stay hydrated with cool drinks. Keep an eye one elderly and children. They can’t tell they are suffering until they literally get sick from heat exposure.
