After being a fan of The Seekers for over 50 years, the passing of Judith has not only been a very sad event in my life and many others, but has also suddenly made me very aware of my own advancing age and mortality. Judith's long adventure through this life is now over and she's at last reunited with Ron in her eternal life, while I still have a few steps left to go on my own journey. Bon Voyage Judith and thanks for all the wonderful music and memories!!

And multiple losses over the years including: her parents in the 1970s; almost all her money in the 1974 collapse of her Swiss bank; her husband in 1994. Plus the 1990 car accident near Melbourne that badly injured her and killed the teenage girl in the other car, and the 2013 brain hemorrhage that forced her to re-learn basic life skills but didn't affect her voice.

As a child of the 60s I grew up listening to the Seekers, and loved all their songs. Judith is and probably always will be, the greatest female voice to ever come out of Australia. Her vocal range was like no other, and her voice was so pure, that you could hear every word so easily. You never had to guess the lyrics with Judith's singing. A true God given talent, that not many in the music industry actually have, especially over the last 2 decades. Vale Judith. Thank you for sharing your amazing voice with the world. @@stephaniestavropoulos1639 Each to their own. But many in the industry itself would beg to differ. Judith had a vocal range that surpasses ONJ in how many notes she could sing and her ability to not only sing each note, but hold the note as well. She was pitch perfect as this vid will prove ruclips.net/video/U3UeaUAEB-E/видео.html. But I am not here to argue with you on this point,. You can believe if you want that ONJ had the most angelic voice, and I am allowed to disagree. Sad that you had to come onto a post and video tribute about Judith Durham dying to give your opinion that you think ONJ is a better singer. I consider that incredibly tacky. But you obviously are an ONJ fan who felt the need to state your case on a tribute to Judith vid. Me on the other hand, I wouldn't even think of going on a vid of a tribute to ONJ to state I think that Judith was a way better singer and why I thought so. It's called having some decorum.

Rest in peace Judith Durham. The voice of the Sixties, many generations, and proud Australian lady. Grew up listening to the Seekers in my youth. The first song in my younger days, l used to sing was Morningtown Ride. Always sang to my siblings to get them to sleep. The voice of an angel, once heard never forgotten. And never will be.
Deepest condolences to the family, the Seekers & all Australians on this sad day. To politely mis quote a famous song. There never will be, another you.

So many special memories. I grew up in a house where my mother loved the Seekers & scraped the money together to buy a few 45s & play them on the old stereogram.
On the other side of the world in London, my best friends father was doing the same. When they announced the first reunion tour, I got good seats & took my Mum.
The joy on her face is something I will never forget. She died a few months later. That best friend from London, ended up in Australia, & we too went to the ever expanding reunion tour, also in Sydney. We have now been married over 25 years. Judiths death is like losing a loved one, but the music & that special memory of my Mum, will last forever.

A voice of an Angel, i must say in her younger years a positively evil figure, a stunningly beautiful face, and a pure heart. How is it possible for a woman i never met to have such an influence on my life? Her humility, courage, kindness, joy in all things makes me strive to be a better person. Millions adored her, and rightly so, as for me, Judith i have only love in my heart for you, i can only hope that you are with your beloved Ron, teaching Angels how to sing.

When my beloved wife passed away from ALS in May 2021, the one song that explained of the love I had for her was "I'll Never Find Another You" . Every word in it reminds me of how much I miss her. Judith's voice carried those words right into my heart. At her celebration of life, the lyrics "I'll Never Find Another You" were printed on the program. Thank you Judith and the Seekers for bringing such a beautiful song of enduring love into my life.

"Don't be sad that it's over; be glad that it happened."
In Judith's case, it's more like, heartbroken that it's over; filled with infinite joy that it happened.
I don't think I can imagine a world where we would have been without Judith & The Seekers. Or if I can, I really don't want to. We finish at least 60 years richer for her presence.
Thanks, rich963, for posting these tributes! And some day we'll all see her on The Far Shore...

For me Judith was the greatest musical talent that ever came out of Australia , the Seekers were just a part of her music career, the jazz music she did with her husband was outstanding, I grew up listening to her and had a teenage crush on her, she continued sharing her great love of music till the end. RIP

What a blessing to be a teen when you all hit the scene. We loved you Judith and were loved by you.
As a team you taught us to love hope and dream.
All those years of song were special because you made it so.
Huge loss, sadly missed, grateful for the memories.

I was a young kid growing up in Britain in the 60's & 70's and I thought Judith was the most beautiful woman in the world. With her perfect voice, smiling face, and 1960's haircut I thought she was wonderful.
As the years rolled by and I grew up my tastes changed, but Judith remained unchanged in my mind.... radiant, and with the voice of an angel.
Listening to her songs even now whisks me back to my simpler, happier world, especially "Morning town Ride", the perfect lullaby.
    Sleep well dear lady ❤️

Marylin Horne says you can tell a great singing voice if it "goes to the ear." Judith's voice grabs your attention and holds it with that pure tone whatever the song. Goodbye, Judith Durham, with much love to a beautiful person and a remarkable artist.

My, oh my! I opened RUclips tonight looking for something to show why the glorious Waxing Crescent Moon of 8/6/22 in Omaha was so awe-inspiring and brilliant. 🌗🌗 Instead, I found this heart-breaking news that Judith Durham, so loved by tens of millions around the globe passed away the evening of Friday, August 5, 2022 at the age of 79. 💔💔 Thank you Rich, for advancing my education of The Seekers over the past 8 months, and now being the one to first tell me of the death of our beautiful Judith. With her declining health, this is not a surprise, but losing loved ones is always a shock. My wife and I extend our deepest condolences to Beverley (who looks just like her litte sis), Graham, Athol, Keith, Bruce, and all of her family, friends, and fans. My eyes are as red as they were when the first of The Moody Blues, Ray Thomas died in January of 2018. 😢😢 Dearest Judith will soon be in the New World of which she often sang. God will surely bless and protect beloved Vale Judith Durham the way He always has. 🙏🙏 The world just lost one of the most talented, kind, charming, humble, and beautiful souls that ever graced our planet. 💖💖🎶🎶

I always thought the group to be boring in the early 60s.
I was a young lad, maybe 9/10 years of age, and my sisters were playing the Beatles and others.
Some 20 years ago, I was browsing the Internet music, and thought to look out music from my days as a mere stripling. The music from this group came up and I listened with fresh ears. I was entranced by the harmonies and the cohesion of the group. Always part of my playlists and awakening buried good memories, always have this group and her wonderful voice been played at the head of my lists. R.I.P. beautiful lady...
