Short answer is don't let him make you respect him - the more wiggle room he has in neutral the easier it is for him to stack buffs and transition to offense. Ofc how this is done is greatly MU specific
Destroy/avoid the cubes, get close to him, get him in the corner, keep him there and pressure him until he runs out of Mana. For some character it will be much difficult than others, but that's the general idea Also, if your character has a fast proyectile or something to hit Asuka from afar, like Testament's Arbitor Sign or Nago's Clone, use this frequently , this things have priority over the cubes and can prevent him form setplay
@@M-Trigger dont use nago clone against asuka, its a waste of blood and he can easily iabd cast to make clone whiff and punish the fukyo followup. Just walk forward until youre in range to f. sss into a cube or 6p > beyblade into asuka
Sometimes I wonder if Asuka is actually the best character in the game. I know he has some drawbacks, but if you're as offensive as Gobou here, like damn, Asuka almost becomes "Choose to Lose."
I can understand your point of view; but considering that Asuka is reaching 1 year since the character's introduction and no other player has reached Gobou's level - I think we can attribute 33% - 50% of the devastation you see from Asuka in this video to just Gobou being too good of a player/at the game overall. Now don't get me wrong, Asuka absolutely is top tier, but I think this an Xrd Omito Johnny situation; where despite the character being strong, one player pushed the character to new heights not seen by anyone else, and no other player was able to reach that same level. What I'm trying to say is, although Asuka is a very strong character, Asuka the character is not Gobou's Asuka - otherwise, every top player who picks him would be able to do what Gobou does - which is not the case. Last, if the best player in the world with Asuka says he's not the best character in the game, I'm not arguing against that. Gobou has never downplayed the characters they use.
@@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil302 Fair enough. I'm aware Gobou's Asuka plays a lot different than most other Asuka's. And I did try Asuka for a little while just to see how he works, and he is absolutely not easy to use. Honestly, even if people feel a certain way about Asuka, I can't help but respect the people that actually put the time to grind this character. It's impressive to me if anything.
you’re only going to find different asuka’s, not a single asuka plays the same as he’s such a difficult character to play with so much to keep track of
@@MDN_Moon it’s not even that part though. I mostly know what they do (minus the staffs which I just avoid). It’s more the fast inputs and quickly reacting to what spells I drew. Plus mana management. It’s just a lot to remember and do all in the heat of a match.
It's fun because of moments like 5:13 Asuka is a really interactive matchup for most characters, you just gotta get out there and start challenging cubes.
the "Random bullshit go" vs "Calculated random bullshit go"
Debatable which one is which
Couldn't have said it better
At least only one part of Faust’s moveset is random
0:35 imagine playing the game and flying for 5 seconds
Gobou with Asuka : "So anyway, I started blasting with cubes".
Loved when Gobou said, "It's cubing time" and Asuka proceeded to shot cubes all over the place
The random bullshit go matchup
2:27 Alright, I actually think this is the funniest one yet.
i think asuka agrees with you
1:15 when Asuka misses its actually just a delayed hit
5:39 tfw bomb hitstop makes your move more active
DUDE THESE COMBOS NAGE IS HITTING ARE ACTUALLY INSANE. THIS IS WHY NAGE WAS #1 FAUST PLAYER IN XRD AND STILL A TOP PLAYER IN STRIVE
Bless this faust
Unreal levels of goatness
This whole set is honestly too hilarious by how much random chaos is going on. Lmao
THIS is what GG was, and this is what strive should have been
Nage the goat
To this day, I still have no idea what's the win condition against Asuka.

BROOO 2 CONSECUTIVE POSITIVE BONUS, HOW?!
Unreal matchup
I want to learn Askua, just to torture my friend.
He’s honestly not too terribly hard to learn once you know what most of the spells do, what test case is strongest, and how to manage your mana
Just practice in training mode

Goatbou
I can't believe this...
This was great. So much bullshit.
nerf gobou
How the hell does anyone play/play against this? He’s bursting my eardrums with all the random shit he’s throwing out.
Day 106 of trying to make friends with the Millia guy
Who?
Nerf Zato
ごぼうさん弱くなってないか

How is this fun 😕😕😕
