Justin Stanton does not get enough credit for his virtuosity on multiple instruments. He covers all the Bill Laurence keyboard parts here nicely, and casually demonstrates really solid chops on the trumpet as well, something which requires consistent dedication every day. Amazing!
Jamal Ahmad - what a cool name for a jazz DJ! Wonder if the station has Davis Miles, Terry Clark and Ken Stanton on staff too? Awesome performance as usual even with the small ensemble, but I gotta say I miss the other 57 guitar players ;^)
Michael’s solo in Belmont is so fascinating, the way they all push and pull at the feel is so advanced. There was one bar of 11 early on but they still land on their feet. I’d love to get a chance to ask them how they collectively navigated that particular solo.
for some reason, when the Texas Shuffle part comes on @1:03:40, I'm reminded of old school Dave Letterman and Paul Schaffer and The World's Most Dangerous Band
im a great great fan of your channel thanks for all the music, are you gonna com to Mexico city on June 1st? take me to the soundcheck please :,) love to all of you, great team, great work.
@@olbill70😂 No worries. I’m just trolling! Big L is my dude, me and Sput go back over 30yrs. Just saying, L just did the EU tour this summer, but is very busy with other things. Sputs been gone since 2015, 8yrs ago. You thought he was coming back? Guess so since people still ask "Where's Cory" and he too has been gone since 2015. Sputs all over the place, busy with his band Ghost Note and currently the drummer for a little band called TOTO😳Never heard of them🤣
@@JTonthedrums JT your solo in "Take It" was reminiscent of the one in "Slugbug" with Mark, you are so good when you are so chaotic! Cowabunghole, rock on!
Awesome! Well enjoy the 5% of the bands entire catalog that's odd metered, another 5% people think is odd metered but it's not, another 10% that IS odd metered but you can't tell cause they groove...Blasphemy!😲 That brings us to the leftover 80% of just good old boring songs in 4/4🥱😂#notafusionband #wesuckatcounting #jttrolls

He's phenomenal. And a great composer as well. His two Empire Central tunes, Broken Arrow and Free Fall are exceptional and two favorites of mine.

I miss Sput.
I don't miss either one of them🤣
No offense intended JT. I love all you guys. I get the impression that Sput is gone. Hope I'm wrong about that. @JTonthedrums

I became a fan because of their odd meter tunes so this one sucked for me.
Weirdo!!
they played east bay, honiara, belmont, sleeper, and lingus. what are you even talking about
