Great memories....I danced my ass off at The Edge, Simons, Marz, cloud 9, Ultra Violet n Firestone. I will never forget my time in Orlando during 1990-1995!!!!!!!
Those were my years too & my stops every weekend 😂. I’ve lost touch with some friends… did you happen to know TR & Joe? They were notorious in the club scene.
omg, I remember the Edge. Those were some really, really good times. Funny how I've forgotten the names of some of the DJ's but his totally brought back some memories of fever and zen. Definitely good and CRAZY times.
The first time that I rolled. I started around 11. 4 beans later, its 5 AM. I'm perfect in my shorty hippie dress, I'm dancing alone because everyone else had left. The DJ thought I was cute and heard that it was my first time. I was dancing with a boa constrictor around my neck. I was sooooo high... The lasers and fans and DJ Icey mix were all blasting...just for me. It was MAGIC. IT WAS ...THE EDGE.
my rave days in Miami were the early 2000s. It was so much fun. we threw some wild parties and went to some even more wild ones. Thanks for sharing. I love to see what others were doing before us.
Put together quite well. Loved the cinematography. Funny, saw so many old faces, got chills for a minute! Miss those days but will never forget them...
This is insane. I grew up going to the edge, it was my favorite place to be. I stole my mom’s car and drove to some farm in Volusia (I think) for Zen and it was like the biggest thing I’d ever been to. I wish the scene didn’t get destroyed and the music watered down. ✌🏼 ❤️
I was at all these rave they talked about, and I'm in this video...fucking awesome,I'm old school Dj Intoxication, aka breakdancer Star....Orlando, Gainesville, Tampa, Daytona, Jacksonville, Central Florida...
Hell yeaahhh!!! This is spot on killin’ it on film, who can forget malibu grand prix’s full moon nights?whaaaaat!!! This was MONUMENTAL in my life. Miss it dearly!
I'm sure South Florida was fun but hopefully you guys don't downplay the role central Florida played. In 1994 over half the world's top DJ's picked Simon's in Gainesville, FL, as their favorite place to spin. You could make an entire documentary on Bruce Wilcox and the clubs he was a resident.
Cosmos, Fantasy Ranch, Boatyard, Moongate, Studio, Cream....the fact that none of these are mentioned just tells me they were just that much more [UNDERGROUND]
This scene was really the entire southeastern USA. Don't forget all the amazing parties that happened in Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro/Winston-Salem...Hyperreal and Liquidgroove with the Beyond events at Millenium Center. Some of the biggest Florida acts headlined...Rabbit in the Moon, Icey, Fixx, Baby Anne...First Friday in Greensboro. All those events at Baja in Charlotte. Something, somewhere every weekend in Atlanta. Central Florida deserves respect too...Masquerades was the home of breakbeat in Tampa. Damn I miss the late 90s.
Just a few memories: Union Jack @ Club New, Miami The Orb, Club Kay's Ft Lauderdale John Digweed, Club Boca LTG Bukem w/ MC conrad, Respectables West Palm Beach Arriving at The Edge, Ft Lauderdale every Saturday @ 4AM DJ Moses- The Darkside D Extreme, The Club @ Firestone Stryke @ The Armory Ft Lauderdale Club Trios, Manhattan's, Liquid, Viper Lounge, Manhattans, Diamante's Frankie Bones at some club in Pompano, Florida with all Cerwin Vega sound Fucking Danny Taneglia at Club space!!!!
Wow. I remember every single one of these DJs from back in the day. In the way our fresh explained it was to the T. I was there at every single one of those clubs that he explained doing everything the way he explained it. And then those DJs passed through my shit hole town at some hole-in-the-wall Raves. When I was just getting out of high school. Wow bringing back memories big time
Hello my family -:) I cannot wait for this. I remember hearing R-Fresh the first time at a party outskirts of Gainesville - Electric Skychurch was there. I miss being young But I also am enjoying seeing some friends in here :) What happened to DJ Chang?
I was 14 and my mom got a divorce and needed a roommate he was a doorman at the edge. We used to go and he would let on me and my friends. We would get up at 2. Go there and roll. Then as the edge got older he went to be the doorman fir the chili pepper and he would let me in there. Best memories ever.
This is well done I’d like to see the full movie in one sitting can u help me find that I’m happy I was able to experience the tail end of the 90s Tampa race scene
We used to hit the edge all the time. And we hit Club Outer Limits which became impact. Can't remember the name of every damn place cuz they changed so many times and so many hands. What was that place in Hallandale?
Does anybody know what's happening with the band L.U.N.G.S. ? They're from Florida, they played a lot at the Crash Club and opened for House Of Pain at the eDge.
90's Raver here. I miss the raver chicks back then. Even the biggest bitch with the worst attitude would piss on you if you caught on fire. Today, its don't talk to me if I don't know you!!! Gen X is the best, fuck the rest!
Lollipop Guild. LMFAO. Biting from Aahz 1988-89-90-91 abd it keeps on going. You are all 10 years late. ORLANDO MADE THE SCENE. PLEASE YOU GUY'S ARE A JOKE

I used work at the Edge. I did the lighting and filled in as a dj from time to time. Good times.

It was MAGIC.
IT WAS ...THE EDGE.
I worked there in the DJ booth. I remember that boa. It was strange to see a boa in a club.
I feel so privileged to have been a part of this.
I agree , thinking about trying to bring it back
I love the nostalgia but when they say they never did anything ileagal ..... ROFL!
@@mishayaros that was a once in a lifetime experience .. pre tech

No mention of the club at Firestone 😓
Late 90’s early 2000’s Orlando scene was lit !!!

Firestone was the commercial house club for nerds.
Damn, I'm crying y'all. 305 till I die. RIP big bro Nate Dawg. Took me to the EDGE the first time NYE 94. Always in my heart!!
Put together quite well. Loved the cinematography. Funny, saw so many old faces, got chills for a minute! Miss those days but will never forget them...

Pretty sure it was Aahz as I saw both of them there long before Firestone was even opened.
No doubt Simons and the Edge in Orland where Bananas back in the day I wish I could remember more clearly!
I remember Firestone having a big reputation back in the day, even S. FL knew about Firestone.
@@nancyeverly5325 Simon's was great especially when DJ Craze was there and others.
And Chris Harshman, and Troy early on. 91-92 at Simons!!
This brought back so many memories!! Thank you, I can't wait for the finished product.
I was there. Amazing times. The Gemini parties and Independance at Simons, the after parties, the after-after parties :)

Like I said earlier...the Tampa scene was just that much more underground back then...💣
I love alot of those guys but the stories were true and hell I wouldn't have it any other way greatest time to be young!
South Florida had a better actual rave scene, central florida just had an amazing club scene that were basically raves

Firestone.... Aahhzz.... hard to describe the love and buzz that was around!!! Orlando vs Tampa== Orlando “kimball” wins every time
Kimball was responsible for the upbeat snare rolls, that Firestone sound. By ‘97 it was over..
Tampa had Fantasy Ranch after hours, and Masquerade always hosted the Rick West (rip) cd release parties with baby anne and hudahoodia
it's kaykay
Did this get released anywhere? I just heard about it today.
