Dude, I swear that if I ever hit the lottery, I'm going to track you down, buy the houses around you, level them, build a giant aquarium and fill it with hobo squid and angler fish. I'm going to do in the middle of the night so you don't notice. 😂😂😂
I am convinced that Cold Skin is chronologically the first movie on the blue fish people franchise. The second one is the Shape of Water and the third is Hellboy. Like, Cold Skin is set in 1914 and tells the story of the first contact between the fish people and humanity, Shape of the Water is a romance between a woman and a fishman, and Hellboy is the story of their son, Abraham Sapiens, Hellboy’s sidekick.
That would be a cool theory but sadly it wouldn't work because abe was found the day Lincoln died in the in the hellboy lore, which timeline wise wouldnt add up.
Day 9: The anglerfish attempted to break in our safehouse, Torres got hurt...This fish has brought our district to near extinction, humanity must take action against the fish.
Day 9: Me and my district decided to join the anglerfish, in return we had to help break into a safehouse, it failed but we manage to take out a traitor. We found out that this district that owns the safehouse is near extinction. We must prepare for the next fight. This is the only way for humanity to survive..
@@RadMarvin dragoons were made by Remington and Westinghouse and the Russian empire, adopted by Russia and designed by Captain Sergei Ivanovich Mosin of the Imperial Russian Army and a Belgian designer named Leon Nagant they first showed up and were originally called 3 Line Rifle Model 1891.
The Director has said that Cold Skin draws inspiration from Shadow over Innsmouth and Dagon by Lovecraft which includes lore about an ancient and advanced pre-human race which retreated under the ocean and devolved into a primitive society. These Deep Ones would interbreed with humans at times with their hybrid offspring looking completely human until they reached puberty, at which point they'd feel and urge to return to the sea and slowly transform into a Deep One. The creatures in the film are very similar in appearance to those in Lovecraft although far smaller and more humanoid. You'll notice that the journal included a picture of a woman holding a baby and what seems to be illustrations of a woman giving birth to a frog or aquat8c creature. Based upon the Lovecraftian inspirations which include the movie being set in the early 20th century, like many Lovecraft stories, it would appear that things are far more twisted as the female creature he keeps having sex with may in fact be his daughter who turned into a Deep One who came with him to the lighthouse long ago. So yeah, nothing to do with evolution but everything to do with humanity just being the latest in a long history of intelligent creatures that colonised Earth over the billions of years of its existence. Humans in Lovecraft were actually brought here by Cthulhu most recently - either intentionally or accidentally.
Humans where created by the elder things when they started evolution on earth. The debate is whether we where a planned creature or a accident, butnit seems they mostly used us as comedy...and lunch..
@cthulhluftagn3812 The Mounrains of Madness only made reference to the Elder Things genetically modifying animals and plants. There was mention of intelligent simians and the explorer wonders if these were proto-humans. This is not the same as confirmation as it is in-narrative speculation by a character. However, in The Mound we are introduced to a lost humanoid civilisation that built K'n-Yam and said that they arrived with Cthulhu. We know that the Elder Things went to war with Cthulhu when it arrived, meaning that these humanoids were on Earth at the same time as the Elder Things. By contrast to Willam Dyer speculating about the origins of humanity, the people of K'n-Yam outright stated that those who remained on the surface became humanity. In either case, evolution is not involved as the simuans were purposely modified and the descendants of the people of K'n-Yan remained humanoid but lost their immortality.
@@KryyssTV i was unaware of that, ill have to check it out. However it would make more sense from a cosmic horror perspective for humans to just be somenthing that randomly evolved from the elder things trash rather then be descended from a ancient race, so im sticki g to that head cannon.
@cthulhluftagn3812 After listening to both audio books I have to say that The Mound is actually better than The Mountains of Madness in my opinion. The pacing in MoM is just lethargic towards the middle and the final chapters are no doubt what people remember best but The Mound is just better paced and maintains your attention throughout. I won't mention anything about spoilers except to say that it has a very satisfying twist in the finale. If you want head-canon that splits the difference, then you can choose to believe that the Elder Things created Neanderthals and humanity was the result of K'n-Yanians interbreeding with them since we know that humans contain Neanderthal DNA. This could also explain how humans lost the biological traits that give K'n-Yanians their immortality.
