I don’t usually comment on videos all that much, but you seem like such a genuine, nice bloke I felt I had to. Really good video, enjoyed it a lot and just ordered this tent off the back of it. Keep up the good work chief! Royce - UK.
I’ve never owned a tent or set up a tent before, but I just bought this tent. You saved me so much time and frustration by showing how to get it set up. Thanks so much!
Best reviewer of the Marmot Tungsten 2P UL I’ve seen. We just bought one and will be using it this May 2023 for the first time. We wish it had a footprint though.
Nice vidoe, just purchased this tent after hours and weeks of watching reviews and reading all the pros and cons on tents. I purchased the new dagger2(yes the new one after their recall), big agnes copper spur ul2 and tiger tents, and rei quarter dome2. I kept the tungsten ul2 because of all the room inside, easy to set up and down, weight, and the cost. I used it for the first time over the weekend, SUPER TENT.
After using this tent now for a while, it is my tent of choice. Low cost, holds up in the weather, lots of room and lite weight. After all my research i am more than happy with this tent and it didn't break the bank. Lite enough that i can carry it myself backpacking and that is great for a 59year old woman.
I have the Mormot Crane Creek Ultralight 2P which is essentially the same tent but with 50" width rather than 48". I believe the Tungsten replaced the Crane Creek model in 2018 or 2019. Nice video man!
Hey, I heard you had joined a non-profit group that does free tree removals and cleanup. That is really awesome man, tree work is very hard work and dangerous, and this guy does it for free!!!
THANK YOU for helping me set up my tent! Great tutorial; like your style. Will be in the Yosemite backcountry tomorrow; front row seats to see the comet NEOWISE!
Good video dude.. I want to start by saying I had one of these and loved it! Took it to Yosimite for a week last year, and started the AT with it this year. The weight is right. The space is right... The issue I had was that it started to leak from the corners on the floor, and I had to send it back. Marmot was great. Gave me a credit and I got two Tungsten 1p tents (regular, not ultralight) for my girlfriend and I.. I'll be a marmot fan because of the service alone. I may stay away from the ultralight gear for a while though... Im looking at the Nemo Hornet Elite 2p when I get back on trail next yr.
I have a goal zero portable solar panel, this fan is awesome, thank you for adding it! I have the Marmot Limelight for 2P, best tent ever, approaching 8 years and never ever had issues with water, not even on top of the footprint or wind and I 've been in some horrendous storms. I'm near 60 now and can set it up in minutes, same as this tent in set-up. I am getting to old to crawl in and out...or, it is getting old, ha! I won't upgrade, because this tent is so fabulous. I am trying to figure out how to use the vestibule for a small raised screen. Any ideas? You are great!
Hi. Thanks for the review :) I have a couple of questions, please. 1. I'm considering this tent for a year backpacking in South America, where I'll be doing some multi-day hikes/treks in Patagonia and in the Andes. Do you think it would be up to the task? 2. Does light brownish mesh allow you to see the stars clearly when stargazing at night-time?
thanks for the review am looking for a 2p tent and this is nice for the weight and money. also thanks for showing all that is included and descriptions. Any chance you will do a overnight trip in the weather to test waterproof and final camping thoughts? Thanks again
If been using the lanshan 2 and I don’t like that it’s harder to set up, takes hiking poles and the doors are hard to get to close close to the ground but it is a very good tent, that aside and very light weight it’s just after 15 miles and at just before dark in the rain the last thing you want is a finicky tent and it ended my day early because I don’t want to get caught at dark having to set it up. This tent looks perfect it checks all the box’s for me except for weight but it’s worth that penalty in my opinion. I have the Hyke and Byke Zion 2P Whitch is very similar to this tent just it’s too heavy for a backpacker tent, this is perfect I love it and I need it. Great review thank you
I like the review. My thoughts are that it is honest. When it is all said and done nice overall look at a tent I am actually interested in. Bet this guy can walk the soles off the all haters. Good Job! Bet he sells more tent's than 1/2 of the other reviews. Now it is humorous...But I like it!
Great review! I currently own the limelight 2P and I'm thinking about getting this one for its mesh. I love Marmot tent and won't switch to any other tent manufacturers soon...
@Outdoor XP great videos as it happens I am in the market for a tent and am currently researching the tents from your reviews. Have you done any on backpacks?
Awesome review. 👍 I've been watching for reviews on this one. The question I have is What solar panel did you show at the end of the video? Thank you for posting this.
Y'all done one heck of a revue. I'm a get one a these here Mar Mot Tongue Stands for my own self. But what's this feller Quinn sayin' now bout leaks in the corners? That ain't no good! Now y' got me all con fused! Dag nabit!
Wait a gall durned minit! What's this yer sayin' bout' gettin' rid of this here Tongue stand UL??? How come? Did somethin' bust on her or did y' jus fine somethin' better? If thems the case, whatta y' usin' nowadays? Intrested mines wanna no.
Hi Richard, fine The question that does not want to shut up: how to fix the screen of the mosquito net if it tears or if the ants open holes. You're very experienced in the subject. You're not wearing a band- aid, right ? rsrsrs 😅

Well done, you are the first person to show how the vestibules work. I know I am going to enjoy my Tungsten 2p tent. Thank you.

Haha that's what I'm doing now. Videos, reviews ..
So you prefer this one over the dagger and the copper spur?
Thanks.
thanks for video mate! I liked the editing you did where you cut to close-ups of the guy lines being clipped into place.
Those red medium size Puma briefs just got you a thumbs up.
