- You know how I love a cheap Mercedes! But this cheap Benz could end up being very costly. In this video I'll give you a 2007 Mercedes S550 review. I'll tell you about air suspension problems, Mercedes W221 battery location, and other Mercedes S550 problems. I'll also give you a 2012 Audi A7 Supercharged review. We'll talk about the Audi A7 supercharger, A7 engine sound, and more!

The Audi looks and run great, but it has a salvage title. Someone repaired the front end and now they're trying to get rid ofbit.

At 89K miles, count on a trip to an Audi specialist for a trans service if it has the DSG transmission. It uses a special fluid and filters and has a specialized fill procedure. When I had my S4 done, it cast about $160. with taxes.
I think Audi is more preferable.

You mentioned B and O in the Audi. That is a 99 year old Danish top of the line stereo and electronics firm. A good pair of Bang and Olfson home speakers can run around $20,000.00 each. Sadly, they have used their name on some cheap products too. (I was impressive with my pointless knowledge until a jerk named Google came along.😅)
I bet the electric motor that raises the oh so expensive B&O tweeter costs $35,000 from the Audi dealers.

The miles on the S class wouldn't faze me IF the engine and trans were OK and you felt you could fix the air susp at minimal cost (!) its not as if you will need to drive another 100k in the car.
For the price of a few useless electric bike sales for a real useful project car for videos ? Sell whatever to get basically a video maker for nothing . those bikes are a waste of space and valuable to some ! Take the money and bye the white Benz . at least ten videos to fix and make it a beauty again ! You Can Do It !

I watch every video but I prefer the wrenching segments. Will you ever get to your friend’s Jaguar? The walk around videos are the same as Randy Shear’s videos and presumably provide you with filler content. Thankfully your personality is so much more interesting and pleasant than Mr. Shear. I hope your channel continues to grow. I just don’t get why your following and subs are not 100 times greater than AAR.

For $900 it might be worth the gamble if it makes for interesting content (I suspect it might). IIRC there were some issues with the timing chain on the 2007 S-Class
Besides the steering wheel it looks alright, and that’s amazing that it’s got that mileage on it!! Just shows how tough those NA V8 engines are and W221 in general.. Get it!:)... Lol

Oooh the white mercedes reminds me of my white one with black spraypaint extra's it looked messy and thats why i got it for so cheap! turned out to be a great deal! removed the spraypaint and some little touches here and there and she was mint! so basically got a really nice performing S430 2001 for total of 1500,- repairs included!

To me, the A7 is the flagship Audi. I know the A8 is the top of the range but, the A7 is much more sporty and usually equipped the same. That my friend is a bucket list car if I decide to switch from BMW. Well, If Tyler get an Audi Dealer that is. I refuse to drive to Dallas for service any more. Thats how I ended up with the BMW 2 months ago!

I’m afraid I would be scared to death of that Mercedes. 290k is a ton of miles for any car and that one looks like it’s seen a hard life. I’m not a big fan of Audi’s but it did seem to run good. I’m afraid that the Audi is going to go for a lot of money.

Those '07 S550's have the timing chain sprocket issues (same as the 06-07 3.5 V6 balance shaft issues)...though I'm guessing that one with almost 300,000 miles is well past where that would have been addressed!
On that Mercedes if she runs,drives, AC works and air bags work worth buying.👍

A 2012 Audi A7 is 100% the preferred car of a man that would wear too much cologne and/or aftershave.
When he said the seat was pushed up for a short person I could just picture a short little guy wearing tons of cologne, shirt half unbuttoned to expose the hairy chest and gold chains...driving his slick Audi around to the clubs in a futile attempt to get lucky.

Even though the Audi is now quite an old car, the switches and interior all sound solid and well designed. By comparison the S class design is looking quite dated and not just because it's been well used. The sound of compartments opening and the plasticy switches makes it sound cheap and not premium at all.
My brother calls that steering wheel gunk "people putty"

My guess is 250,000 to 273,000 for the mileage on the Benz.
I think the Benz would be too big of a risk, especially with the high mileage and the inability to start it to check the engine and transmission.
Run away from that Mercedes Mike. 280k miles you’re right who would buy it after you. Go for the Audi
