How To Make LUMION FORMATS! Lumion 12 Custom Library!

- I want to make another video touching on the new Lumion 12 feature I touch on in the last half of this video. I didn't see anything in the notes about this but I think it is HUGE that you can now make subfolders in the custom library and there are tags associated with the folders. Creating a large custom (and organized library) is now far easier!
I didn't touch on the .lmn material format because honestly I find my method to be far faster. It also allows you to drop .sim files into the Lumion library itself, which I have not tested with .lmn formats.

You can create your own thumbnails. When you select an asset object, the properties panel will show up on the right side. Move the camera to the position of the object you want thumbnailed - hover the cursor over the thumbnail image and press Control. It will create a snapshot. I learned that trick from Nuno. Lumion has alot of easter eggs if you really dig around for them.
Is it still the greyed-out image of the model? Dimensiva for example comes with 300x300 thumbnails to use in your libraries, it would be cool to have high-quality renders of the models.
@@LuminousLabs No. It will be the snapshot of where your camera location is. It will snapshot anything where the camera in build mode is.

Great great stuff. I really love it when people show outside the box stuff. I have been wanting to sync my custom materials to point to Dropbox somehow so I can access them on 2 of my systems. Have you ever experimented with this? This would be great for teams of people who use mobile and desktop solutions.
any Idea of how to migrate custom trees from lumion 10 to lumion 12?

Hello Sir I always appreciate your vids I just want to say thankyoouu, also I just learned something from other youtubers and I want to tell you that they said it's good to put more hashtags because it also help you increase your engagements in youtube although your description might look something chaotic due to many words but 3 hashtags will be helpful in your youtube algorithm. I noticed Your Lumion closes and opens lightning quick. What are the specs on your computer?
I have a 3090 and an AMD Threadripper 3950x. It is a very good computer, but I do actually edit that part out so I'm not just staring at my screen for 30-40 seconds

Hi Wojciech! Thanks a lot. I need to sort out my lighting situation in general, I hope that someday I can have a little recording booth but right now I'm stuck doing it with a suboptimal set-up :( I did start using a whiter light setting though!
IS THERE ANY OPTION IN LUMION WE CAN TURN OFF ANIMATION OF WIND MOVEMENT IN TREES SO THAT WE CAN INCREASE PERFORMANCE IN EDITOR MODE

Hello, I think you can update the thumbnail, its a long time ago I used this but I think you set the view and then hold ctrl or alt "sorry forgot" and then click on thumbnail and it should upadate...
Are you able to import photos from an external library or do you mean it will update it from inside of the Lumion file?
@@LuminousLabs it will update to whats it the view port at the moment, I google it its ctrl + click on the left thumbnail
In theory you could import texture picture and then Point camera to it 😊
At @6:53 I have already reported and it is fixed in 12.0.1
