    So far I had a chance to run some tests, and early result show the Zenbook Duo Ultra 9 processor and graphics really do make a big noticeable difference vs Yoga book ultra 7 processor and okder Iris xe integrated graphics. The duo so far is far superior in performance. Stay tuned once I have all testing done I will put together another comparison video hopefully whithin next week.

      Unfortunately I dont. The 16gb versio. Can handle those programs individually but running more than one at a time might limit its ability and slow down productivity. If you are ordering from Amazon, double check in your region but there is usually a 30 day return period.@willhutton1516

    I’ve found on reddit that someone experienced these problem when using the Asus Zenbook Duo 2024:
    - Wobbly screen due to flexible metal chassis at hinge connections.
    - A keyboard that warps and slips, potentially damaging surfaces.
    - Muffled speaker sound on soft surfaces or in dual-screen mode.
    - Screen issues like refresh rate resetting to 60Hz, bottom screen not turning back on, brightness discrepancies, and color profile differences.
    - Minor concerns like faint static speaker sound and the absence of a media play/pause key, alongside a dedicated emoji key.
    I was wondering if you also experienced those problem?

    When you've got time, are you planning on running some comparison benchmarks against the other laptops you've got? And maybe some battery endurance tests? I'm very curious about what kinds of performance they packed into such a small package, and how well they handle the heat of that new processor with an OLED right on top of it...

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +2

      Yes I can do some benchmarks when I get the Lenovo yoga book 9i. I actually edited this video on it with 0 lag, and felt no heat typing on the keyboard. The fans were running full speed very comparable to the HP Spectre. The battery has been great so far, I did test it with only 1 display and continouse use browsing, videos, and running some other applications with setup and it performed better than the Surface book 3 with about 5 hours of use. Im sure with both displays that might change quite a bit. I'll have to see when that test is done.

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +4

      So I did a quick test with moderate task, and im really surprised with the heat dissipation of the bottom display, they must have some type of liner directly under it as it felt barely warm to thee touch, while thee bottom of thee laptop was warm as expected. The fans noise at full speed to me seems quieter than thee HP Spectre. So far for multitasking this is a game changer. I no longer have to use my desktop and laptop to make it easier working on something while researching information on thee other. I can do it all on this device.

    • @sindrisuncatcher653
      @sindrisuncatcher653 4 месяца назад +2

      @TecYimBroke I heard that they put a giant heat spreader under the lower screen because of concerns about the OLED degrading if it got too hot, and then put in literally double the heat pipes and fans compared to the single-screen ZenBook 14 from the same generation. I was worried that the u9 188H version would run too hot for such a thin case anyway, but it's great to hear that the designers seem to have been successful!

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +1

      @sindrisuncatcher653 ahh ok that seems like a good move, ill have to see later this week when I have time ill run it under heavy load for some time to see what happens then, and how it handles the workload.

    • @chrishoskins8782

      @@TecYimBroke I've got the top spec Duo UX8406 and an HP Spectre X360 15, and my experience is consistent with yours. In fact the Duo fans are a lot quieter than the Spectre! Having the gorgeous 4K oled screen as a reference, I can attest to the fact that the Duo's oled screens are excellent. Also the Duo's thermals and battery life are pretty good considering its specs and capabilities.
      Your correct about it being a multitasking game changer. It's super-fast, and switching from single-screen to dual-screen literally takes about 4 seconds! It's not gimmicky at all, it's intuitive and very practical in everyday use.

    The thing I am interested in is benchmarks for the ultra 9 185h. That cpu just isn't benchmarked by itself anywhere. You see a lot of the ultra 7 155h since that is what was sent out to reviewers, but not the ultra 9. So a GPU and CPU test would be nice since this is the one I was most interested in buying once it's available at best buy.

  • @MFHRaptor

    The thing that bugs me the most (and hope to improve in the future) is how much time it takes to complete the transition from one mode to another; from single screen to dual screen, from dual screen in horizontal to dual screen in portrait, and so on. It makes the technology look buggy, which is poor aesthetic.
    Can you measure the duration from one mode to another (until the transition fully sets)? Preferably with multi app/windows load?
    Also, is there a discernible lag or cut-outs/stutter when the keyboard is detached and is on Bluetooth? I've tried the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, and even when typing on wordpad, the keystrokes lag quite a bit to the point of being jarring and frustrating when typing fast.

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +1

      So thee transition taking off thee keyboard takes 5.5 seconds for me. I dont see this improving much due to the fact it has to wait for windows to detect detached device, and transition. Personally I think the timing is great. And I have not noticed any lag with the keyboard, I would say I am an average typer, not sure how fast you type. I do have 1 issue and not sure if its just mine. Whenever I type "the" and hit space it automatically adds a extra E "thee" and i have to back space to erase or slight delay pressing space. Its the only word that it does this on, and I cant figure it out, ive tried all the keyboard settings. I corrected every the word typing this up.

    Since this is the Ultra 9 dual 3k 120Hz displays, is there a way to actually determine if both displays are actually the same resolution? I read somewhere that the top one only gives you the full 3k 2880 x 1800 at 120Hz while the bottom one is 1920 x 1200 resolution at 60Hz. Also wish it had tent mode. But one can't have everything. Keep the video coming. love them.

      Yeah both screens 3k, both can be independently set in display settings, this is prob where they messed up. I have both set to 120Hz, but you can set either to 60Hz and other to 120 if wanted to save battery. This can be confirmed in task manager and device manager.

    Hey there! This video's concept is awesome! Your channel has serious growth potential. 🌟
    Here are some pointers to help you shine even brighter:
    Visual Polish: Adding some lighting can make your content pop (think studio vibes!). Free editing software can help with intros, outros, and transitions for a more polished look.
    Crystal Clear Audio: A noise-canceling microphone will take your audio quality to the next level.
    Thumbnail Tweak: Your thumbnails grab attention, but consider adding text to give viewers a clearer idea of the video's topic. Think headlines that pique curiosity!
    Tech Showcase: The raw approach is cool, but a touch more creativity can go a long way. Experiment with different angles and close-ups to really highlight the tech's features.
    Captivating Title: Craft a title that entices viewers to click. Use relevant keywords and consider adding a benefit or intriguing question related to the tech.
    Keep up the fantastic work! I subscribed to see what amazing things you create next. 👍

    I like this but I don't see a use case for me when considering the price. I recently got an Asus with a 14 inch oled screen for $499 and I bought the Wuawe portable monitor for $55 after coupon. It literally takes me just seconds to setup and now I have a 14 inch screen and a 15.6 inch screen. I can also position the monitors anyway I wish. The portable monitor takes little to no room at all in my backpack and my laptop powers the monitor. To be honest I'm not sure if I would ever use a dual screen setuo on a plane (just too cramped). I actually really like this new Zenbook duo but I don't think for $1500 vs the $555 price I paid justifies it considering for my use case I'm getting a very similar experience. Great review by the way. I've seen many on this laptop and yours is perhaps the best one yet!

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you, and definitely you cant beat that price. Its not for everybody, price wise I think this Duo is the best priced dual screen available with high end specs. The next closest is the Yogabook I9 which is almost 2k and has weaker specs. At this time getting duo your basically paying for the newest processor and setup. Like you said alot of people wont really have much use for it, but similar specked laptops like the new Spectre x360 cost about the same with a single screen. For me definitely pays off as I regularly need a second screen for multitasking, and just having everything in one makes it so much easier for me.

      @@TecYimBrokeI agree. I also have the 32gig Core 9 variant which I managed to get at the end of january and I use it as a dual screen setup everyday as my business machine. Definitely better than to use an external secondary display, especially when sitting in a cefeteria

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +1

      @kristiankameniczki3932 Yes the portability is a game changer. I like the Duo and Yoga Book but Duo definitely a more portable device, and nothing else like it currently in the market. Incorporating the keyboard to fit rite into the device like a nornal laptop is awesome. This has made work so much easier, where before I use to keep switching between tabs to reference information, now just have it on the second display. The 32gb makes this thing far more capable. I have not used my desktop since I got this thing.

    Heya! I was eying this laptop for work trips, but in an amazon review, I saw the chassis flexing a lot when operating the hinges.
    Does your unit have the same behavior? It looked like it would wear out and break quite quickly to me.

    • @TecYimBroke
      @TecYimBroke  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello, I saw this exact review, and I disagree with it as its not a defect, he is obviously pressing down on thee screen beyond its opening point which obviously is going to cause flexing because it has all the pressure being put against it. You would purposely have to try bend thee screen beyond its opening capabilities while holding it up because on a flat surface your going to bend the top screen flat against thee surface. This is thee design, and any laptop with similar 2 hinge and most others that do not open 360 degrees will do the same. Now on the other hand his keyboard does seem a little warped which seems to be a possible defect. The keyboard does float a little bit on the top part which is normal, but not as much as his is showing. So far I personally dont have any build quality issues. The only issue im experiencing and cant figure out yet is when I type "the" and hit space it always adds a extra E and its the only word that does it. I would have to type it and delay before hitting space bar. Besides if you do not like it, you have 30 days to return through Amazon.
      And then you have people putting bad reviews because their order got screwed up. That is not a review for the seller, that is a review for the product itself.
