I understand your skepticism because i also was curious if Jesus did say that so i did some research. There are reports outside the bible i believe from roman centurions that do say that the man named Yeshua (Jesus) claimed to be the king of jews and the son of God.
You picked up on one of my favourite sections of Thomas and Jesus not rebuking him. Near the end at 4:23 you say that Jesus as a mere man, his death would only be sufficient to pay for his own sins. Was that a mistake? Can I die on a cross to have my sins paid for? Am I missing something?
@@deanfry879 It just takes a look from a different angle. I guess it's all semantics. Die 'for' my sins or die because of my sins. I thought he was saying that Jesus' death as a man would have given him alone eternal life. I'm getting old; thank you for the explanation.
Christ denies his alleged equality with the Father in Jn. 10:30-39. To escape being stoned for blasphemy. Jesus equated his "Godhood" with the Jewish leaders in Ps. 82:6 by asking in essence, "If it was OK for them to be called God, why is it a problem for me to be called God?" IOW, he applied a FIGURATIVE "godhood" to himself like those leaders in Ps. 82:6 in order to avoid a charge of blasphemy. IOW, he denied being literally God. He either isn't literally God or he lied and took Ps. 82:6 out of context. Your call.
If the Truth heals the sick, raises the dead, blesses all, gives eternal life, and brings Heaven down to earth...then lies do the opposite, they cause suffering, death, eternal death, and brings hell on earth. So, why are the church leaders knowingly choosing lies and again, shutting the door to the Kingdom of Heaven? ISAIAH 9:16 IS STILL TRUE TODAY
Directly, NO. Indirectly. YES. John 10:30 [30]I and the Father are one."1 Corinthians 3:16 [16]Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?1 Corinthians 6:19 [19]Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?John 14:9 [9]Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father.Deuteronomy 4:2 [2]You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Mark 10:18. “And Jesus said unto him, ‘why do you call me good? No one is good except God Alone’”. this is Jesus making a clear distinction that he is NOT God. John 10:30 Jesus and the Father are one. John 10:38b that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the father.” Does this mean Jesus is God or rather that he has a special relationship with God? Compare these verses to John 17:21 “I (Jesus) pray that they will be one, just as you and I are one- as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” Clearly Jesus is saying that he has a close relationship with God, his father and those who follow him can have a similar relationship.
Jesus is God's son, but He is not the father Luke 22:42 ..“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." John 6:38 says, "For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me".
If he did then he would be fulling 2 Thess 2:4. In fact that happened in John 8. Jesus was sitting in the temple of God claiming to be God. So either he is a false messiah or John 8 was edited. Either way, Jesus is not God Almighty. No true messiah would EVER claim to be God. Deut. 13. An abomination. The trinity is a blasphemous false doctrine of Rome concocted in the 2nd century. Deal with it.
Yeah, not buying it. It's the one question the nuns couldn't answer, nor your answers. How can God be in Mary's uterus for 9 mths (Though, I have my own theory regarding births in general.) & still be in Heaven? Who was Jesus talking to while on the cross? "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." How does Jesus sit at the right hand of His Father if he is the Father? How can God & Jesus be one person/being? How can God live as a man on earth for 33yrs? How can God give His one & only begotten son if He is the son? I don't buy into the "divine mystery" theory, nor if I were a true believer I'd just accept it as fact. No, I think accepting it as fact when it makes no sense is falling for deception. I don't know which one of us is right, but my thinking is more logical. If someone could provide facts one way or the other to persuade me that would be great. I'm 62 & have been asking this question since I was about 6-7 yrs old.
Have you tried reading the scriptures for yourself with a humble heart while asking God who He really is? I had no upbringing in Christianity yet He revealed this to me independently when I did so. The Holy Spirit reveals the truth to all whom He chooses but I believe God will never reveal Himself to the proud who demand human explanations. The secret of the Lord is with them who fear Him.
*If he didn't say directly in the Bible then he ain't God but a prophet and a messenger just like those prophets before him and after him like Abraham, Moses and muhammad صل الله عليه وسلم*
The same could be said the other way around. If He didn’t say directly in the Bible that He isn’t God, then He is God. Do you see how that argument doesn’t work?
Well He basically said that if you don’t believe in Him, you are condemned already. See John chapter 3. Believing in Him means believing in Him as your God

Jesus is a prophet, yes. Not sure why you think this doesn’t prove Jesus is God or why you feel the constant need to say “peace be upon him” but let’s see what you said. Mark 10:18 Jesus is not denying being God, He was asking if the person who called Him good really understood what was being implied. Not to mention, Jesus refers to Himself as the Good Shepherd. Mark 12:29. The Lord our God is one Lord. No biblically intelligent person is claiming there is more than one True God. Mark 13:32 This is a good one! To understand this, you need to understand what the incarnation is. There were certain aspects of God’s divine nature that were willingly veiled when He took on human form. Like if you put on a blindfold but are not actually blind. Paul speaks of the incarnation later in the New Testament. Matthew 4:10 No denial of divine nature here. Matthew 21:11 the crowds are not recorded saying peace be upon him, but as far as calling him a prophet, is not a denial of his divine nature. Matthew 21:46 see my previous response Luke 18:19 see response to Mark 10:18 Luke 24:19 again, nothing in here denies Jesus’ divine nature. John 4:19 The woman perceives Him to be a prophet, but she has not yet learned who He really is yet. Read the rest of that chapter. John 5:30 God the Son is being submissive and obedient to God the father. The two roles are different but it is not a denial of divinity. John 6:14 no denial of divinity here John 9:17 same John 10:29 this has to do with the nature of the incarnation and the different roles each play John 14:24 again, no denial of divinity. If anything, it’s further proof that He and the father are one John 14:28 again, the roles they play are different John 17:3 nothing here denies Jesus’ own divinity. Since you’re a fan of the book of John, curious you did not mention John 8:58
@@KamiNoRanger99 A prophet of God by definition is not divine. So calling a prophet of God as divine is a logical fallacy. Historically the Christ (peace be upon him) never claimed divinity because he was a Jew.

@@kimberlylawson1614 Not really. He is using the word God here to mean Yahweh. And Jesus never claimed to be Yahweh. Yahweh is the Father. Yeshua is the Son, Jesus Christ. There is one God, the Father (Yahweh) and one Lord, Jesus Christ (Yeshua).

Where did Jesus ever say I AM GOD WORSHIP ME in the Bible❓ Show me those verses exactly & I am ready to become Christian NOW❗I📚
Did you watch the video?
Also, the same argument could be thrown back at you. Where did Jesus say “I AM NOT GOD DO NOT WORSHIP ME!”?
God sets the terms, not us. He’s God
I understand your skepticism because i also was curious if Jesus did say that so i did some research. There are reports outside the bible i believe from roman centurions that do say that the man named Yeshua (Jesus) claimed to be the king of jews and the son of God.
And God the Father also declared Jesus as His Son as well in Psalms 2 (which is also a prophetic chapter).
Amen! & Amen!
Great video!
Yes you could die for your own sins, but you would be permanently dead. The same for Jesus if He were a mere man, which is the intended meaning.
@@deanfry879 It just takes a look from a different angle. I guess it's all semantics. Die 'for' my sins or die because of my sins. I thought he was saying that Jesus' death as a man would have given him alone eternal life. I'm getting old; thank you for the explanation.
@@festidious2644 Semantics is about right. "For" is more often used meaning "because" than it used to be.
Please Read KJV - Exodus 3 : 15
"This IS MY NAME For Ever, And THIS IS MY Memorial Unto ALL GENERATIONS.”
I believe he is the Lord... he said me and the Father are One...he also said before abraham was i am....
Your call.
This is directly describing Paul of tarsus as does Matthew 13(Paul tares) Matthew gospel chapter 24 the man in the desert(Paul damascus

Awesome
If the Truth heals the sick, raises the dead, blesses all, gives eternal life, and brings Heaven down to earth...then lies do the opposite, they cause suffering, death, eternal death, and brings hell on earth. So, why are the church leaders knowingly choosing lies and again, shutting the door to the Kingdom of Heaven? ISAIAH 9:16 IS STILL TRUE TODAY
I don't know why people struggle with Jesus being God. How does that change anything for you as far as how people relate to Jesus?
Yes, Jesus said he is God.
No, Jesus never said he was the "Second Person" of a "Trinity".
I dont believe in the trinity, but still I believe I can be saved

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST has no sines HE is sinless 4:26
For he [God] is not a man. (1 Samuel 15:29)
You all love to complicate the teachings of Scripture. He did, based on SCRIPTURE...and THAT is all that matters.
Jesus calls Himself God in Luke 17:15-19 ...key word is "RETURNED"
Jesus is God's son, but He is not the father
Luke 22:42
..“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."
John 6:38 says, "For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me".
Well said 🫶🏼✝️
God is allmighty, powerfull, allknowing, imortal, Jesus not, he is only human as god messenger
People coping. Jesus is god
No he never called himself God. Why not?
Can you show the exact word where Jesus says he was a God 😂😂😂
No, he didn’t. He IS the Son of God.
One example from Scripture is 1 Corinthians ch 15 verses 23-28 (particularly verse 28).
The Son of God = God
*If he didn't say directly in the Bible then he ain't God but a prophet and a messenger just like those prophets before him and after him like Abraham, Moses and muhammad صل الله عليه وسلم*
And no one is capable of being subtle? He accepted worship belonging to God.

*Conclusion:*
*John 17:3*
"[Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) said] And this is eternal life, that they know you, the Only True God, and Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) whom you have sent."
Matthew 21:46 see my previous response
Luke 18:19 see response to Mark 10:18
Luke 24:19 again, nothing in here denies Jesus’ divine nature.
John 4:19 The woman perceives Him to be a prophet, but she has not yet learned who He really is yet. Read the rest of that chapter.
John 5:30 God the Son is being submissive and obedient to God the father. The two roles are different but it is not a denial of divinity.
John 6:14 no denial of divinity here
John 9:17 same
John 10:29 this has to do with the nature of the incarnation and the different roles each play
John 14:24 again, no denial of divinity. If anything, it’s further proof that He and the father are one
John 14:28 again, the roles they play are different
John 17:3 nothing here denies Jesus’ own divinity.
Since you’re a fan of the book of John, curious you did not mention John 8:58
@@KamiNoRanger99
A prophet of God by definition is not divine. So calling a prophet of God as divine is a logical fallacy.
Historically the Christ (peace be upon him) never claimed divinity because he was a Jew.

Jesus never said he was god, nor was he implying that he is God, you are implying this, Jesus said, he was the son of God he is one with God this does not make him god. You misconstrued the scriptures.
So, the Jews of Jesus's days on earth also misconstrued the Scriptures when they picked up stones to stome Him?
@@deanfry879 no, they misconstrued the Christ when he said, the father and I are one, they misconstrued the meaning of what he was saying, like so many other people do, like this man.
@@TempleofChristMinistries So, the Scriptures were insuffient to enable those Jews to judge Jesus's words rightly? I doubt any of them were interested in a death penalty for mere murder.
@@deanfry879 you don't understand your scriptures very well do you, Christ said, you misconstrued the scriptures and you know not the power of god, what do you think people do all day long in this world, misconstrued what is written, they understand it not, they only think they do, as Christ said, you diligently study the scriptures yet you do not recognise the one who is in front of your face, when a man calls himself the son of God and someone comes along and says see, he called himself god, how ignorant can one actually get, you cannot be God if you are the son of God can you, you cannot be a son unless you have a father and mother for that matter, it is like saying this is the right and someone comes along and says see, he said that he was the left, he separates himself from God yet unites himself with God then look at this truth what is its meaning, Peter says to the married couple who lied to him, you are not speaking to men you are speaking to God, yet we all know Peter is not god, it is ironic Peter is more close in his word calling himself God then Christ is, yet when the Pharisees said, you being a man make yourself god, Christ said, it is written in the law you are gods yet Christ Denise this and calls himself the son of God,
Until the Holy Spirit reveal it to you you can't see it.
May the grace and mecy of the holy one of Israel be with you
Jesus is the Son of God, not Yahweh. Jesus is God's one and only Son. The Father is greater than the Son. Let's stick God's Word please.
That is exactly what he did.

What does I AM mean to you?
@@7stringst3r "I AM" is something only God and the Son of God can say as far as the Bible is concerned.
