Aha! Kyoto 😱🙏, ah this is what we lack doing when we were in kyoto haha since we were first timer back then - we temple hops haha and food hop. Btw will you be in korea 30 sept - 6 oct- we will be around 🙌😂
Hahaha we were also only temple- and cafe-hopping! No time for shopping or visiting museums ^^; Yes, I'm always in Korea, I live here :D 🙌 So cool that you guys are coming around! Also September is wonderful here!!!
Aww Amazing Cafes.. So Delicious Desserts :)) Kyoto is Beautiful.. Hope you enjoyed Good Times with your Mom! Like the place name Arashiyama, look like South Indian Word :)) Thanks for the info about Delicious Food Stops in Kyoto.. Great Video, Have a Great Day!
Thanks a lot, Dixon! Yes, we did! I already miss her! Oh really?! Arashiyama was so beautiful and it's famous for its bamboo forest. I heard that there are bamboo forests in India, too! Thanks again for watching and have a nice day, too!! Greetings from Seoul!
@@Victoria_Lee You're Welcome! That's Nice, next time explore Korea with Mom :)) Yes here also a lot Bamboo Forests are located, my nearest Forest also rich in Bamboo. So many Elephants, we can seen in bamboo forests here in India , INDIA is the second richest country in Bamboo genetic resources after China :)) Thank You.. Greetings from INDIA :))
Hahaha, you're right! I hope she'll visit me next year, again! Wow, that sounds incredible! You could also film there! You always know all the facts ;) And there are even elephants?! I'm sure they are bigger than the small one we've visited ;)
Very nice cafe guide, Victoria.😁 We will be in Osaka next week and we are still deciding on whether to visit Kyoto. If we do we will definitely try some of the places you recommend. 8th like for you.👍
Hello dear :)) Osaka is great, but I would highly recommend you to drop by in Kyoto, if you're already around there anyway. Kyoto has a very different feel than any other city that I've visited in Japan so far! Looking forward to see your Osaka vlogs!! :))
Hahaha gotta have some calories-priorities! Oh come on, that's fishing for compliments! You don't look fat at all! (At least not in your videos!) ;P But I see your point, one week in Kyoto and my pants magically got smaller suddenly 😅😅🙄
Green tea lover high five! 🙌🙌 Green tea drinks are usually pretty sweet here in Korea, so it was nice to have unsweetened options in Japan ^^ Is green tea popular in Australia, too?
Doing my Kyoto ITE and budget and I can’t wait to do cafe-hopping. I am just not so sure if my family is game for this so I’m squeezing them in before we leave our hotel (alone time) and during afternoon break. How much should be my budget for each café I’m visitng?
Hi Anton! You're going to Kyoto, that's great! The city is great for cafe-hopping! ;) I understand, matcha is not everyone's cup of tea (literally haha). For a coffee/cappuccino/latte you usually pay around 450~650¥. A matcha-latte is usually around 600~650¥. The desserts are a bit pricier, the coffee jelly for example was 700¥ and that parfait at Saryo Suisen 1480¥. At the first place, Zen Kashoin, we ordered a set which was 1200¥ per person and included 2 desserts of your choice and matcha per person. So roughly we spent 2000-3000¥ at each cafe for 2 people. The quality of the desserts and drinks was really superb, so I think it's worth the slightly higher price tag! Have a great time in Kyoto with your family!! :))
Coffee jelly is such a nice dessert! It's very popular in Japan, but also easy to make by yourself ^^ Judging by your cooking-skills I'm sure yours would be delicious!! :D
Dear Voctoria, the new movie is extremely exotic. The food and drinks are incredible. But they invite to try. I believe in your past life you have lived in Asia before. I see, you feel in Japan, like fish in the water. I'll watch the movie a few more times for the spectacular cakes and drinks. Warm hugs, Malgosia
Dear Malgosia, thank you so much for watching my video! It's true, it's very exotic in comparison to "Kaffee und Kuchen" 😉 Hahaha who knows?! I was fascinated with Japan since I watched Japanese cartoons at my Grandmas place when I was a child. I hope we can have some green tea together this winter!! Greetings and kisses from Seoul!! 💕
wow, what a wonderful video! I missed all of these cafes when I went to Kyoto, sadly. It was a solo part of my journey for 4 days, and I really would have loved to visit all of these cafes. When I go back there someday, I'll try to remember to come back to this video :D
Thanks, Adam! Judging by your vlogs you had an awesome time anyway ;D I guess if I would travel alone my focus wouldn't be on cafes, but since my mom really really loves matcha I wanted to take her to some nice cafes! Do you already have some plans for your next trip to Japan? :))
@@Victoria_Lee that's cool, and I don't have plans yet. I just started a new job a week ago and probably won't be able to take time off for a little while. Maybe in the summer, I'll go with my entire family. We're trying to plan a trip to Japan together, and I've never gone with anyone in my family before, so I'm hoping it works out :D
Wow, that sounds exciting!! I think traveling with family is quite nice! You pretty much know what you signed up for :D For me traveling with my mom was interesting, because there was a shift in responsibilities, this time I was the one making the decisions, showing and explaining everything. So your family will see a new side of you ^^ I hope it works out!!
Thanks to you for watching and I'm glad you found it helpful! Kyoto is famous for their matcha, so their matcha menus were really on point! (Dare I say "Korea-next-level"? ;D))
You should make your own guide!!! This video is so perfect. We're actually planning on going there next March. I don't know if we've tried the salt candy. All of these desserts are so gorgeous. Love the cafe that had the French desserts with a Japanese twist. So cool you did this video with your mom. Need to check out Musubi when we go to Arashiyama. Vermillion looks awesome! That terrace!
Hey guys! Hahaha that would be a fun task indeed :D Oh that's great!
