    We live fulltime on the road mainly in the Nevada desert with our 2017 ORV titanium series 25RDS which we acquired new back in late 2017. We live a rugged life as i like to fish and scout for new fishing and hunting spots so our rig went thru rugged trails, terrains, washboards, and mountain deserts. No major issues except little minor things i can fix myself. Infact, for the past five years on the road we live fulltime(and counting), we never took it to a repair shop. Very solid rig and well built like its sister's Nash and Artic Fox from Northwood Manufacturing. I do wish they made a 5th wheel toy hauler as we are going to continue our journey with a 43 feet 5th wheel toy hauler to carry our machines in the desert and mountains while camping for long stay. Happy trails and safe travels. Cheers from the Nevada desert!

    I also own an Outdoors RV Timber Ridge 25rds, Mine is a 2013 and it is laid out exactly like your new one is. A few differences in colours and counter top colours but the same unit. I also had many travel Trailers over the years, all Big name brands like Prowler, Thor, etc.. and this one is by far the best built travel trailer I've owned . Almost 10 years old now and she still looks like brand new. Everthing is still working as it should other than having to replace the Circuit Board on the Furnace it been a great trailer. The furnace is loud and I'm planing on adding sound deadening material around the inside of the cabinet as there seams to be a lot of space around the Furnace, which i believe acts like an accoustic chamber (like a Guitar) . My only complaint would be the height of the stairs , especially if the trailer is on a bit of a slope . Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your trailer. Awesome !!

      I'd be traveling with my daughter sometimes and it seems like that cabinet would be more than large enough to serve both as a pantry and as clothes storage (maybe bottom shelf and drawer) for a guest unless you carried a *lot* of food. Any issues with pantry items moving around too much and the door coming open on that cabinet? It would be nice if it had push-button unlock opener (not that you couldn't easily rig one yourself).

    Thanks for the review. You did a great job! I wished more ORV owners would do reviews. I really appreciate it. These models are on my list to look at 24RKS, 24KRS, 25RDS, and 250RKS. I’ve got to have a sofa to relax in. HA! 😊

    Thanks for the video. Nice job! We're looking at one of these. The kitchen and seating is what we're looking for. Wondering if you've been able to get into National Parks with your rig? I know some wouldn't work but overall have you had too many issues with getting in their camping spots?

    • @GOATbro_Australia
      @GOATbro_Australia  Год назад +2

      I have never had any issues getting it into any RV park, or national park, but when booking a spot it is usually pretty clear what the length limitations are. In some cases we have had more limited spots available to book because of the length, but it's never been a huge issue. We just go where we can go. Hope that helps!

      Yes, its a big trailer, and it is heavy, but that probably contributes to why there are no frame issues. Definitely what to tow it with a heavy duty truck. Thanks for watching!

    I know these are built really well compared to many other brands but have heard about issues with the wooden cabinets using staples & after towing on rough roads & Boondocking these staples coming loose ? ? Why would Outdoors RV even consider using such a cheap method with their cabinets ? Are they all solid wood ? ? Dovetails side panels ? Paying 50-60 grand for such a TT you would think they would be ALL solid wood & dovetailed cabinets throughout. Thx again great info & video . 👍⚾️

      @@bobmariano3731I have a 2022 24rks and YES, the frame work around the large drawers under the dinnet seating pulled apart after two trips. I had to squeeze glue into the gap and screws around the frame. It's fixed for good but not what I was expecting from ORV. many owners around where I live and many have had the same problems with the frame coming loose. Love the trailer but not prefact. I found screws at ace hardware bulk bins that matched the other screws in the trailer.....kinda an antique bronze finish with the square drive heads. It happens.

    Nice review, own a 22 24rks. Agree on bathsink faucet changed ours out for a taller one that swivels, Home Depot easy fix. Been very happy with ours. Have camped in heat and cold with no issues and they do tow well. Agree the Fantastic Fans are fantastic. Parked in our drive way and just went out and turned kitchen and bedroom fan on opened a couple of windows and cooled right down. The 24rks has swintech slide no issues but they seem prone to problems. Happy you like you rig😎

    Hello, and Good Morning...I also own a 2020 25RLS in which we just purchased use in Idaho (and we live in the very N/E corner of Illinois... I was hoping to help you out with a few remedies to your dis-like list. I also had an aluminum hitch on my truck and it ended up with catastrophic problems, the hole where the ball drops into stretched out over 70 thousands of an inch, so i replaced it with an old fashion metal slide in ball hitch. FYI it was never overloaded (not even close) so get rid of it... Now my bathroom sink is rectangular so I really don't have your problem but an easy fix is just replace the screen on the end of the facet with a directional type... The shower door is a problem with mine also, I can see the door hangs out of square and rubs on that lower gasket. But I still cant figure out how to adjust it without inventing an adjustment of some sort. I use the Ridgid 22" pro box because the fit perfectly 2 stacked high and they lock together. I keep leveling blocks in one and other smaller repair tools in others, then I use a stick with a hook in the end to grab them from deep inside. that triangular cabinet under the sink fits gallon water jugs perfectly and I added one more shelf because I use gallon water for the dog and coffee...And your on your own with the screw for the kitchen faucet...lol.. Maybe a big ACE Hardware. I have even less space in my kitchen cabinetry then you do, so I added shelving to the interior of many of my cabinets. I really like your drink holders next to the couch, mine does not have them... Try running your furnace fan on "low" speed at night for less noise. The reason we have the mechanical thermostats is they work flawlessly for ever, my other RVs had the digital ones and would stop working when we would be far off grid in some God forsaken place...lol... I needed my heated tanks when it dropped below 20 degrees one night, water froze up in the line but flipped it on and in 20 mins was fine...I subscribed to your channel after looking at your videos and seeing we have a lot of the same interests with camping, guns, tractors and dirt bikes... ttys Paul

      Firstly, thank you very much for your support and well thought out and well worded comment. That is all great input, and super helpful. As for the furnace fan setting, and running it on Low, I actually tried that. Having it set on High or Low seemed to run the fan at the same speed and did not reduce noise as I had hoped it would. Maybe its something I should have my dealer look at. Or maybe I did not allow it to run long enough for it to kick down to the lower speed? Anyway, I will look at that one further. Again, thanks for such great feedback and for your support. I look forward to hearing more from you. Thanks!!

    Thanks for the review. I have a 2021 25RDS and love it! There are a couple other small details that I really like about it. The towel hooks in the bathroom are directly above the heater vent so your bath towels are warm. There are two small ledges behind the dinette cushions that are nice for putting things for quick access, keys, a deck of cards etc. I agree with you about the furnace, it’s loud! We made shelves in the upper kitchen cabinets to make better use of the space. Overall, this trailer is great!

    Good review! We’ve owned our 2013 ORV 20FQ since new (1st RV). It’s very similar to your layout, but smaller & no slide.
    We like our rear dinette, so your TT is high on the list. Do you have any issues with the angle of the kitchen sink, and the further reach to it-especially the left side? It seems like it would be harder to use at that slanted angle.

      @@GOATbro_Australia okay, thanks-that’s great to hear. In 2020 I installed an Enduro Power Lithium battery (200 Amph long), along with 3 Zamp solar 100 watt Obsidian roof panels, along with a 1000w inverter, with the trailer’s two main outlet circuits wired through an auto Xfer switch and an AC sub-panel so that we can use all of the the AC outlets (not counting the microwave’s outlet), for drip coffee and charging my wife’s ebike 😄).
      Also, I installed a Victron BMV 712 Battery Monitor, which has an app with BT connectivity.
      I even installed a sidewall port, and have that same portable 100w panel that you have. Love it. We boondocked up on the Grand Canyon’s north rim for 6 days last august, and battery never went below about 65% battery, and we parked in partial shade.

      Yes I have run weight distribution hitches in the past, but usually on a lighter duty truck. Towing this trailer with my 2500 has never presented any issues, high wind, trucks passing, etc. It's all very stable, so I just have not bothered. On a 1500 it's a must. Thanks for the comment!

      Just FYI... I have a F350 & 23' ORV 26 KVS. Pretty close in length & weight to 25RDS. I use an Andersen WDH. I've had numerous RV's over the years and heavy WDH. This one is light weight, easy to use and works pretty darn well. You'll notice a huge difference compared to your 1/2T, going to a 1T. I sure did when we had a smaller trailer. I wouldn't dream of using a 1/2T with this trailer though.

    • @willieninefivenine6476
      @willieninefivenine6476 Год назад

      @@herb7877 that huge difference is what I'm counting on. The 1500 did great (the trailer we had was within payload specs), in the mountains it did good. Strained a little going up and no exhaust brake, but gearing down did a good job on the way down, I would have kept it if the camper wasn't stolen since our only camping was occasional weekend. I like the RDS, we both like the KVS. Honestly, I could go with almost any floor plan of ORV. Had a Husky WDH that did well, except i lost their special tool to move the bars, that was a big PITA, going to try not to do "special" tools any more or get more than one :)
      I would have done a 3/4 ton, but this crazy market, ram 2500s are close enough in price to 3500s might as well go 1T. Got a 2019 3500, since the '23 is 6-9 months before they even start on 3500s.

      Maybe, but there are lots and lots of travel trailers with rear sofas or chairs. The rear dinette is the feature that absolutely makes this model (and the slightly longer 250RDS). In general, your best view when camping is going to be out of those rear windows so having seating in the rear where your back is not to it is key. I have seen more than one person replace their rear sofas (usually in fifth wheels) with two swivel chairs so that they can turn and face the windows while drinking their morning coffee for that very reason. Or, it gets replaced with a desk.
