This show is an absolute gem. Sometimes the youtube algorithm hits the right spot.
I wish Peel would watch my band practice through a window
It might help if he didn't die 10 years ago.
let me in your window
He did
Maybe if your band consisted of underage girls he would've. If you know about the accusations against him...
@@ibelieveicansoar rubbish.
I never realised how absolutely hilarious John Peel was.
I miss him so much. He correctly formed an important part of me musically and beyond, which he reflected in his statement ' be true to yourself'.
My sentiments exactly.
As an American, I admire John Peele so much. A true original when it came to radio and really the last to give unknowns a shot
Thanks for this posting. As a Cornwall lad adrift in middle Europe this is a real treat.
Atom Heart Mother album cover. Trippy
We used to have parties up North underneath the windmills.. Pylons are okay but don't get too close! Love Peel and all of the people he interviewed on this two-part docu musical history and life!
If the most iconic and important DJ in the UK said he wants to interview you you definitely did not say no
a lot of decent and social competent people in this documentary. really good material !
I forgot how amazing John's voice is. Love this!
What a wonderful show. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
That was a lovely treat. Thanks.
good to see the Jones Machine.
I miss John Peel. What a guy!
Thank you for the memories, dad-who-was-not-my-dad
Thats so strange. I am listening to Luke Vibert as I open this.

Thanks btw!

Can remember Blew doing a session for John Peel around the time...
At 1:30, the collector from Pob starts playing 'Ageiopolis' by Aphex Twin. Hmmmm. Maybe just a massive coincidence.
Shame Blue went commercial once they got signed as an RnB/pop act in the early 00s.
9:15 The mind just sparkles.
somthing something body ready...
The artist David talks in a way I understand.
Dude its so sick, we gotta figure out who played that first tune @ 0:25.
Did you know John peel was present when Lee Harvey Oswald was assassinated?
He's been around.
Aha ..found ...'the jones machine
@mildredsmittens Hopefully they didn't reincarnate themselves as a boy band, who were also named Blue and had several top ten hits in the 00's !!!
Should've gone to talk to Nigel Ayers
@JohnPeel3904
After an extensive search I have found nothing, I'm willing to bet they were forced stop due to poverty of something. They might have changed their name, which would make them impossible to find since you can't search for faces. I think the only thing to do would be to go to cornwall in person and ask around.
wow i'm an idiot, thank you... i should have search blew instead of blue....
the mugs of tea at 03:55 is so english
I really hope that LL Cool J story is true.
Knob skills...
What happened after that? Do they still play together?
did you ever find out what track it was?
@powlo12345 their original name was Blew not Blue
Who is the guy that has released on rephlex ...at 10:01 that been living in a caravan ?
the jones machine
whatever happened to blue?
@mildredsmittens they changed their name to Haven . . .
Anyone know what happened to that band? Blue
£1!!! Mentuuuuullll
What became of Bogfiller? Lol
7:40 whats that song name anyone?
Love Is Such A Treasured Thing (Adverscape Garbot Mix)
not b4 u watched the seCond 'alf... lol
it was blew not 'blue' and they now call themselves haven - i think the singer for blew sang for the supergroup freebase briefly.
I always thought Cornwall was in Scotland.
Remind me never to fly by your airline lol
Scotland is in Cornwall.
Yeah along with Wales! ;D
They went downhill when they became a mainstream boy band.
haha! subbed.
