Looks like the body extends beyond the neck on the treble side.. Looks like the neck is narrower than the body pocket. I would be cautious about buying that. Sounds good though.
Best Tele I ever had, I got in trade for a rather beat Fender Rhodes... it was black, but obviously spray painted with a humbucker in the neck position. I looked it over and the thing that really struck me was the bridge plate and the number which I believe was under 4000 in the serial number... I took the guitar and partial trade for the electric piano and then started looking around on it and I'm done it and after I pulled the neck off and saw the penciled neck date and neck pocket date which said I believe David or Davis and an early 1952 date on it... Covered in butterscotch looking lacquer over the remnants of a heavily checked butterscotch blonde finish... it was a '52! It all checked out!! I stripped the paint off of the body and found a 50s neck pickup, filled in the route with some epoxy and polyester bubble fill, and hand colored the grain and matched the color so well that even after I refinished and 'relicked' finish nobody could tell. The neck had been to hell and back. But i refinished it and kept all the finger wear and had it refretted with new hardware to match the original... I made a concoction of corrosive liquids, rocks and sand and put the hardware in an old ROCK TUMBLER I had since I was a kid! Lol... after almost a week in the tumbler, I put some heavier wear on them myself and then bent a few and cleaned lubed and replaced on the guitar... built a leaf fire with grass clippings in the back yard and suspended the guitar over the fire for a day... till it was a smoky brown, then rubbed and burnished the finish with Grey India ink... added wear areas at all the right points... more ink and burnishing. Clean, buff, setup and played it for a year in my band. Every gig, someone's eyes popped when they saw it... but that wasn't the crowd I wanted... I took it to the national vintage guitar show at the clarion and trolled up and down the aisles one time and had every dude there wanting to know the story. I said it had been in the family a..while... they all checked it out... everyone said it was all original. I was satisfied... lol. I traded it for a G,&L Broadcaster a few years later, which I fell in love with for the tone. I did give full disclosure, as you realize that was about a fair trade for what I had... but I learned a lot about Tele's... a LOT. and one thing about this one was the DARKNESS, the fullness of that bridge pickup. Brad Paisley is about the only guy I've heard with a tone close to that 52... almost every Tele I've heard since does not do it for me... the voicing on those early blondes was epic and so far away from nasal, it's crazy! They were full, with lots of bottom, more like a P-90 than a Fender single. Because at tge time. Fender was using the same pickups he had been using in his lap Steeles. A very different sound. The only sound that works for me, and not reissued that I know of...
Sounds tremendous, would be good if when you do guitar of the day to tell us how much they are selling for, to help with our knowledge of vintage guitars, cheers 👍🎸
Had a wonderful 69 a Tele just like that that I bought in the early eighties for $175. Traded it few few years later for a 76 Strat that someone had put a Floyd on. A real hunk of junk. Boy I miss that Strat.
Poorly machined neck pockets were not uncommon in the CBS era. It's very, very doubtful any previous neck would have been that wide to fill that large gap. No, just a sloppy cut.
Nice! Gotta learn that second tune! I believe it´s his song, I´ve heard him playing it in another video where he plays his jazzmaster. Note the Drop D tunning
Impossible that guitar has been used. It’s 53 years old. If I used it for a month, it wouldn’t look that clean. It sat in a case for decades. Sounds okay. Hard to tell, because Lemmo is such a good player and can adjust his playing.
Wow- it has a skunk stripe?! A three way switch?! Two single coil pickups?! It has a warm and bright tone?! An ashtray?! You really did your research! Thanks so much! Fir nothing!!!! It’s so great that you do these reviews and you have NEVER bothered to learn a thing about guitars!!! That’s awesome! Never learning is awesome!!!
May I ask you why you’re so pressured up by these demos? I mean I kinda get what you’re saying, but I think that if someone’s intentions are serious about buying vintage gear like this, they will do the research themselves at least to an extent that they can’t be scammed out of their money. Cheers!
I watch guitar of the day just to listen to Lemmo. Just brilliant 👏
Wow! This Tele sounds damn good in all the pickup positions!
ooh that version of Heart Shaped Box was damn good.
Dig the tunes played there Mr Lemmo. Nice sounding tele. Lemmos playing never gets stale. Very talented musician for sure.
i NEEED to know that second tune!!! also killer version of Heart Shaped Box
What’s up with that major Gaposis at the neck pocket bass top side? Other than that nice tele. Love the Nirvana “Heart shape box” intro Michael!
Noticed that
Me too.
Me three

What a gap!
Great sounding Tele, amazing artist playing sure help a lot.

Yes tell us the pr$ce
They have a website. It’s a click away!
Love me a clean blonde Telecaster and once again I will say, the Telecaster and Michael Lemmo are a perfectly matched duo!
🎶🎶🎶😊👍
Thank you, Michael. Beautiful guitar, beautiful tunes, beautifully played ❤
Another great guitar. Thanks Michael for sharing!
That is a good example of a heavier tele that still has some good twange. Very balanced guitar.
That sounds amazing wow
What song is it 5:03 ?
Thanks Michael
Dude !! Pumped for that tomorrow. Great job LEMMO….. ohhh clean
Telecaster Nirvana : great looking & sounding awesome . Peace .
Does anyone know what the 2nd song was please. It’s driving me insane!
Cool Michael. Mellow city. The crowd called out for more. Call Stanley Clark's office.
Great playing love the sound 69 dude 👍😁🥃
Lemo is killing it today. Yep. He surprises me. I hope he continues his playing career.
What a great sound lemmo thnx for demo this one. Beautifull! Greetings from us here at the northsea coast.peace!
Michael has one of the best jobs ever
Smooth sounds Michael
Not sure if it's the new amp, but this Tele sounds great. Anyone know what the 2nd tune is?
Don't know but loved it.
it's a coldplay song off one of their earlier albums, not sure what song
Any luck? With that second tune?
@@haythamkenway1817 no, not a cold play song either, as the guy claimed above.
This demo was absolutely haunting but in a beautiful way. Gorgeous!
OMG! Wow! That was clean and had great feeling. ❤️📦✅👏
Very spacey playing today. Spaced out vibes
My dream telecaster! 🤤
100% Telelicious!!!👍🤘🏼👏
Lemmo should play some Smith's. That would be great
Jeff Buckley's "Grace" 🙌🖤
Oooh, that Jeff Buckley song sounded great on the Tele!
Was it the second one he played? Trying to find the name of the song
@@cooperwallace7824 it was the third song. I think it's called Grace, the title track from his album of the same name
The song name is michael imagination...
Nice bit of mellow Nirvana there Michael. Nice.
Anyone know the 2nd song?
I had one in 1972....never kept 🥺
I had one for over 20 years and sold it; miss it…

I don’t get it. You had a great Tele and traded it for a piece of junk Strat and you miss the Strat? I think you confused your guitars.
Heart shaped Box was Class 🔥🔥🔥🔥
nice choice of tunes
Loved the Heart Shaped Box Michael. Also Jeff Buckley.
A cream-colored Tele demands some Jeff Buckley.
I would question if the neck is original to this guitar…neck pocket fit is off a bunch. Glad it doesn’t make one iota of diff sound wise. 😎

@@anthonyc1883 great point!
Sounds great right at the boiling point
👏 👏 👏

Which jazzmaster video?

Looks so clean cause it’s poly. I know because I have the exact same guitar and play the dickens out of it! Just as clean.
What's the 2nd tune called?
Kimse de dememiş Batuhan Mutlugil telesi bu diye :D
The kid is good !
I feel like Michael is a mix of Hawaiian/70 Rock influence.
It’s in tune, unlike Agnessi 😦
Poly finish guitars will survive apocalypse.
What's the 2nd song?
Vintage teles are weird….I had a dead mint 73’….worst guitar I have ever owned…my 80s Korean Hamer buried it…strange…..
can i have it?
Anyone else hear Kurt and Jeff in their head?
Wow- it has a skunk stripe?! A three way switch?! Two single coil pickups?!
It has a warm and bright tone?! An ashtray?! You really did your research!

These guitars are heavily embedded into American culture.
