Hi, I like your tutorial. I just want to ask if the length of the legs have a effect on generating speed? The longer the legs, the more speed it can create due to longer leverage? What do you think?
@@Jonpilo-uz1yf Hi! 🤔 no I don’t think this is that important. Of course such physical aspects might help a bit but it doesn’t make a big difference. Generating speed is not the problem, especially with big pump Frontwings that fly at low speed. Not burning your legs is what’s difficult. Kids with short legs can go fast and pump for a long time. The weight can makes a big difference
Hey, i can see u are not using the titan fuselage? I got in contact with gong and they answered, the titan fuselage is highly recommended for wings over 120 cm wingspan. Whats ur opinion about that?
Hi, I haven’t had the opportunity to test the titan fuselage yet, hopefully soon. I know this recommendation, this is mainly not to damage the fuselage since the loads with big high aspect ratio wings are very high. It depends on your weight as well. I’m only 62kg…
I love your videos. Congrats on developing such a skill. Id like to get your advice. For a beginner 75kg that wants to learn dock start pumping, would you recommend Curve H in xxl, or sirrus xl? Which is better in a long run? And which foil woild you say is for beginner? (I do wingfoiling, tried few dockstart on fluid xxl version one 1850cm, but not much success)
Thanks for your message! Pump foiling is so great, I try to share it 😊 In flat water the Sirus xl should be better in the long term. The curve H xxl should work as well, easier but lower performance than the Sirus to pump longer. But for a beginner (even with Wingfoil background) I would recommend to use a Frontwing x-over xxl for the first months until you can pump “easily” for a couple of seconds. Cheaper, easier and safer (no sharp edges) I think it makes the progression faster than using a high aspect ration wing straight away… then the Sirus xl. The x-over is much more easier as well than the fluid xxl at the beginning.
@@Ludo_freefoilerHello! Do you have somewhere any video with x-over foilpump? I’d love to see a final form for which I should aim. It’s probably gliding shorter than high aspect foil?
@@onion.express Hi! Yes it’s gliding less than a high aspect ratio but easier at the beginning. I don’t have the x-over Frontwing anymore. I have a couple of shorts videos with it: ruclips.net/user/shortsJF0USx3cKd0?si=hnLWPxRqkNceafUH ruclips.net/user/shortsBMn6tc8Mn-8?si=wa0dhnwYA7o5lVg3 ruclips.net/user/shorts_tfJSy3FaCk?si=3-Y5lLQq11Oc5A4h
Hello Ludo! Congrats on achieving such a milestone! One question regarding your tips. What do you mean by "decompress growing and locking yourself"? I would appreciate a more clear explanation of that! Thanks!
Thank you! When you extend your legs, try to be as light as possible decompressing your all body up means growing up every parts of your body: head, shoulders, thorax. As you are going to glide keep your upper body stiff to lose as little energy as possible. I hope it’s more clear with this explanation?
Quand tu dépasses la minute, essaie le high aspect ratio, tu vas te régaler :) Looking for an easy setup to get started pump foiling? #shorts #pumpfoil #hydrofoil #foil ruclips.net/user/shortsJF0USx3cKd0?feature=share
Thanks for another interesting video! 👍 -The Sirus looks nice! -A question: How did you choose your Sirus size (XL)? -Did you ever consider an even larger foil (XXL/XXXL)?
Thanks 😊 I’m very happy with the Sirus :) I chose the xl because I wanted a wing that I could use for wingfoiling in light wind as well. Curving with the xl remains pleasant, it’s doing a great job for both disciplines. Larger one means more drag and more difficult to carve (and more inconvenient for transport 😅), honestly I’m not sure it would help me to pump longer/further and/or enjoying it. Depending on the weight, I’m only 60kg.

@@Ludo_freefoiler You mean smaller pumps is more efficient for speed than bigger pump?
@@Jonpilo-uz1yf to accelerate your have to increase the frequency of your pumps, so yes short pumps push hard will increase the speed
So you can sustain 19 minutes with heart rate above 170?! Respect
Thanks! Yes according to my watch. It’s a good cardio workout :)
