This is so helpful for all toddlers and preschooler’s! Even partially for adults actually, haha. Eventually we’re just dealing with emotions and even in adults emotions are still little toddlers that need to be heard and regulated. That is where our co regulating in relationships comes in. Not all of us have had wonderful examples of co regulation in childhood to effectively self regulate in adulthood. It might sound crazy but the basics of all of these techniques for little children to me seem very valuable for coping with emotions of grownups.
