Doing what we really want is not something constant. We may want something one day and lose interest the next. In my personal point of view, we just have to live and do what we need to do. The question of "why" isn't really important because there's no definitive answer to it. We often lie to ourselves to give our lives a meaningful story, but in reality, it doesn't matter. All we need to do is simply live, be in the moment, and that’s all.
