Homemade Chicken Feed and Feed Storage

Feed:
Equal parts cracked corn and oats
Half that amount in black oil sunflower seed
Three bags of split green pea (more or less if you want)
Some oyster shell for extra calcium
Got the barrels locally. Got the PVC at Lowe’s. I had to order the valves from Amazon because Lowe’s didn’t have valves that large.

I’m retiring in the Philippines this summer. I have chickens and pigs. Feed costs are outrageous. I will pasture / free range and feed. I’m thinking of growing sunflower and sorghum and corn. The chickens eat the papaya, sweet potatoes and coconuts too. I want to compost all of my pig manure and grass cuttings also.
