- The party is over for all of the mark up and add on hungry Dodge dealers who were charging $50,000 plus on their Hellcats and Scat Packs!

Brad, once again, you’re on the money! I had a SPWB and dodge kept messing around with the direct connection. Went to talk about a few hellcats, dealers were so arrogant… I literally left and went straight to BMW. Got the performance and the luxury and still paid less than what they were trying to ask for hellcats.
Great stuff, thank you for this series. I voted with my wallet after owning a couple Chargers, 2 Chevy SS and a CTS-V. I tried to order and purchase a CT5 Blackwing when they were released and couldn’t get one because I refused to pay any markup. My local BMW dealer welcomed me with open arms and even gave me a small discount when I ordered my ‘22 back in 2021. They’re only hurting themselves, high performance cars are a luxury, not a necessity.
What the heck is wrong with “CarEdge” ??? Are people upset to learn how dealerships actually work ??? Or are they just upset to learn how much money they lost by not following their advice😢
I’m betting on the latter! They Mad! 😂
😂😂😂 they mad azz hell
Trade in values are falling faster 😂😂😂
CarEdge is legit. Big fan
Came to the comments to say the same thing car edge seems to drop nothing but facts
Yes, great to be right and OCM has been right all along on how this was going to play out. Some of these sticker cars they are going to have to almost give away to get anyone to take then. No interest and not even sniffing MSRP on the auction sites on the Swinger. When their still sitting on the lot in another 3-4 month drastic measures will need to be taken to move them. I'll be looking for the WBRE with 2000 miles that the owner walked away from or has to come out from underneath the payment due to a change in circumstances. The fan boys are only interested in the Demon 170 - anyone that wanted a HC already has one or more. The demand faucet has been turned off.
I love Ray and Zach! The CarEdge channel is very informative!
Seen Hellcats for as low as $77k and they’re still not moving, here in north Dallas 😂
Brad , just can’t help but drop bangers 🎉
I'm Glad that your doing videos to educate people on all the aspects of these kind of cars. the RUclips thing is great because it can reach soo many people, not everyone has someone around to "talk sense".
LOL on Lucille Ball on the chocolate candy assembly line!! Good analogy.
He said Ding-a-lings.....(drink through nose)! Damn bro you got me!
Great work OC Motivator the evil markup beast has been defeated.
100% spot on , I myself was looking to upgrade from a scat to a hellcat then I realized these people want BMW prices for a car that hasn’t changed in nearly 10 years , now i’m entirely done with dodge . I’m keeping my scat for another 4-6 months as I think the car market will only continue to crater and will be in the market for a g80/g82 hopefully for a steal .
OMG I love everything you said. Total ruthlessness coming to a dealer near me. New subscriber.
Great video and thanks for the info . Hope you are right, ready for the prices to go down
Great analogy with Lucy
love car edge ray and Zach ," really you got to be kidding me "......seeing discounts on spec editions. swingers and shakers
We ordered and bought a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe 12 months for MSRP ago and at this time we're underwater $30,000. You can pick one up just a year old, for about $45,000. Now imagine if someone paid a mark up on top of that? I'm 34 and this was the worst financial decision I have ever made.
Finally getting my 392 on Saturday! My out the door price was $51,032. Excited to get my first Dodge.
is it a widebody ?
Hey man! I just bought my first car and applied for my first loan at a bank! Arrigo of west palm beach sold me a 2022 challenger rt w 22k mi for 31,773! Initially wanted 36k but im a good negotiator and showed em another OTD draft. They were really good! No tap dancing, no games no pushing garbage!
Great content man I’m you put this out everything you said was true didn’t make sense why they were trying to manipulate people,I have a 2019 hellcat redeye wide body at msrp loaded,I’m glad you put this out there cause there was no way you be paying BMW,Mercedes prices for charger’s and challengers
Got out of my '22 SPWB 6spd Challenger in August for 10K more than I paid and could not be happier. I will wait it out and get back into something next year. Keep up the great content, Brad.
You’re the voice for us ✊🏼
Good stuff buddy.. love the edit
Not here in Baltimore Maryland
They still have big mark ups on the scats and hellcats.
You are so right, as usual. I also watch Ray and Zach.
Prices are dropping like dirty drawers my local dealership is packed with inventory and aren't selling 🤦 and I've been e-mailed offers weekly 😂 for discounts luckily I got my RT back in July for under MSRP 150 miles away from my local dealership great contant brad 👍
No one can predict the future , true! But where is these cars that’s being built , in transit and still advertised 10,000 over sticker , some that’s been on the lot for over 3 months maybe 4 … so where does the future lay …. I say it’s gonna be a sale maybe hard to get or a sale that the dealer just says “Get rid of It!”
I still think patience is a good virtue here …🤷🏻♂️
100% in the nail exelent video the best.thank you😅
For 90k-100k, i'm sorry but no dodge is worth that price imo. I'd rather get a nice BMW or Mercedes Benz for that price! Better build quality and interior.
Great Video OCM!
I watch more car edge than i ever thought i would.
I agree!
Truth....you videos are awesome.
As a demon owner, 2018 I we t to a few dealerships in texas about the demon 170 texas priced 370k to 275k out the door...am not feeling the narrow body front end or chasing the 1025 hp numbers. I checked out the crate engine on the direct connection page the original hellohant 426 engine has no warranty..the demon 170 has a 24 month warranty many part have no warrantycoverage also...I think if you did a insight video on the pros and cons people will listen...keep up your motivational info...Big Al
Great video OCM !✌️ 😎
You’ve been correct this whole time. I sold my widebody 2months ago. What’s you forecast on the L.A. housing market?
Just two days ago got my brand new 23 Hellcat jailbreak last call in plum crazy under MSRP after 3 weeks of negotiations with the dealership.👍🏻
Purchased a new Challenger R/T 3 weeks ago . 3 thousand off list price to start and a real great offer on my trade . ( better than NADA or KELLY suggested ) ! End of the Month is the the best time to strike a deal . The Managers are Fighting the Bonuses . Good Luck
Swell advice 👍
I want a new 🐏 or rebel soon.
Excellent video as always. So specifically in regards to say a 23 Charger wide body in purple?Super Bee do you think you could achieve less than MSRP? MSRP is around 70,500 and say offer 65 pre approved let them do financing etc.? 850 credit score with no trade in/
Long time following great channel! Between myself and my son we’ve owned 6 Dodges 2012 RT Charger Plus then 2014 RT Challenger next 2018 392 Charger Daytona same day my son got 2018 SXT Challenger, 2021 Charger ScatPack loaded same day son got the 2018 Challenger TA RT, I totaled the ScatPack then in 2022 same dealer and guys I knew tried to rip me off with huge mark ups went to other dealers same thing so I got a loaded Mustang GT for sticker price been trying to buy a new ScatPack for Three months still huge mark ups I love the Dodge cars so I’m not quitting will try again in February wish me luck these dealers suck I’m in South Florida and I refuse to be Ripped off.
Between you and car edge this summer I got a great deal on my truck compared to a year ago!
Good stuff 👍 👏 👌
awesome video!
I bought a 2023 WBHC last month w leather and harmon kardon. My biggest advice to anyone looking to buy:
1. Call and ask them for an ODT price print out without negotiating and dont bring up their advertised discount.
2. After they give you the print out, remove all add-ons besides the doc fees(under $500) and tax. If you can get pass this stage move in for the kill in step 3.
3. Bring up the advertised discount which they will more than likely honor if they are a reputable dealership.
I paid MSRP of 89k and an extra $1k for dealer add-ons, factory extended warranty (60k) and factory wheel and tire warranty. ODT price including tax was $102k.
Great vid Brad, 100% correct! I would still take the scat pack or hellcat over a BMW … not because they’re better built for sure, you’re paying for the character of the car and The throw back to the old days… much like a 69 judge GTO.. they ride like crap,, and rattle & handle terribly… but you still paying 60-100k for the memories and the way it was.
Anyone that says they would take a scat pack over a hellcat can’t afford a cat. Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard
@@user-my2sf8lh5rif U re read that, it said Scat OR Hellcat over BMW. I chose to get a used 🐈 over a new Scat & didn’t think twice about it, only had 7k miles
@@user-my2sf8lh5r you just sound dumb dude… I can buy whatever I want.. I turned down a brand new hellcat special ordered… and picked up a brand new scat pack swinger… i’ve owned hellcats… AGAIN, I buy what I want… not impress other people…. Sorry if you can’t afford to buy what you want.
I bought one of the last ‘22 Narrow HC at that 30% off from the dealer you showed. $24k off. Yes I paid the $4500 in stuff but it’s an add and the deal was still too good!
Still hard to find Challenger Redeyes in Canada. Paid 40k over MSRP when I finally found one. Not enough of them in Canada to wait until now 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
How much below list% should we get on a scat pac ? What % below list?
Van Nuys Dodge was/is one of those who had 25K plus mark ups as recently as 30 days ago.
F them then
BMW, Mercedes and especially Audi are fine if leased. Once the Warranty is over, the cars are expensive junk to try and maintain. I have been there, never again!
I bought a new 20 Charger R/T Plus in August 2020. I got it for 38k out the door and 3.4% interest for 84 months. An I had a deal on the table for a Challenger Scat Pack Widebody Shaker Plus for 45k out the door. Couple years later 10 to 20k more for the same vehicles. Sorry my pay didn’t increase as fast as MRSP and high interest rates.
Hey bro your videos are so helpful I have being trying to get a scatpack manual transmission and I finally got it at msrp but before I got it I went to cdjr and I was willing to purchase a 2022 scatpack new but already a year old and when I tried to negotiate the price and follow all you are telling us to do when. Get one the stupid sales manager at that dealership said that there’s no negotiation and that’s the bottom price $54,000 plus $7,000 mark up si I got up and told him that’s he’s out of his mind and he said that it is a brand new 2022 and with a mark up so I told him to that he is crazy and I would never pay that much for a 2022 scatpack so after afew days I drove to AARON CDJR NORCO and purchase my last call 2023 scatpack manual transmission thanks to your videos I walked out of that crooked dealership and now I’m a happy owner of this beautiful and once again thanks man
i’m looking to get a manual WB hellcat but man it’s hard to find
I see noting but trouble for Stellantis. Who wants those cheap-azz Hornets, those underpowered, over-priced Gladiators, and all those hybrid 4xE Jeeps that have the potential to catch on fire and have had recalls already issued for them? I won't even touch on the Wagoneer with Uconnect5 and their share of glitches. I too have regrets for not buying a 2018 Charger Daytona Scatpack back in 2018. I could of got that thing new for the mid-$40'sK.
Another great vid Brad! I’ll be ready to purchase and new or used challenger scat pack in June or July of 24. That being said I’ll have a $45-50K budget for this car, what’s your thoughts of available cars and finance APR’s and potential factory rebates in that time frame? Just looking for your crystal ball opinion… Thanks !!!
whichever model you decide to go with trust me get the wide body , it’s worth the extra few grand . Speaking as someone who bought a narrow body I kick myself every time I see a wide body cruising down the freeway , it really makes the car so more appealing visually .
Thanks for the heads up, that's my first choice depending on where the market price is as well as finance costs.@@stacking2444
Ha, I wish it was over...the dodge dealership at my place is selling a GT challenger for almost 50k
🤦🤦🤦 let it sit and rot
No they’re not! They’re asking! Not selling!
What would be a good deal now, how many percent off should i try to get off?
Lol imagine it’s February 2025 and it’s still some 2023 scat packs and hell cats on the lot.
I know a Ford dealership right now in Okc that STILL has brand new 2022 f150 black widow editions on the lot RIGHT NOW. it’s crazy.
We should be holding out until they lower their prices 10k to 25k.
I’m fine with getting a used wb scatpack in a year. Hopefully around 10k-30k miles. It just never sat well with me that I have good credit and was still getting hit with 8-10% interest. My credit was lower in the past and I got 6% then. I would feel scammed buying a new scatpack for 10% interest when I could wait 6-12 months and get 3-4%.
You're not seeing 3-4% in under a year....
@@TB-vb3ovwith the type of graveyard firesale we will be seeing, might as well say 4%…..
Those same price gouging dealerships will do it again as soon as they get a chance. And how can you trust them after they showed their true colors.
Just swapped my Jeep SRT for a x5M competition. 👌🏻😮💨
Cool 😎!
Does this work with international dealers?
These dealers definitely are greedy from the 30’s to 40’s to now from the 50’s to 70’s for R/T’s & scat is crazy i remember when they started of n the 30’s
Here's my strategy. I point to the add on list, and tell the sales person, I'm not paying that, then I point to the window sticker, and say, I'm not paying that. They never let me walk.
I say, hold more time, no buy yet
Stellantis is like good riddance clearing out Dodge once and for all 😂
Credit Unions has always had the better interest rates & it’s not even close, got 3.44% on my 🐈 last yr
How many months was the term?
@@TJF13 6yrs. Been paying a couple hundred dollars extra since the first month, so it’ll end up being between 4-5yrs
It’s time to negotiate for an invoice price
Revenge!!
Dealerships didn’t give a crap about customer good will for the past 3 years! 🤪 Dodge Challenger for $68k OMG!
Brother, can you help me out. I'm thinking of buying this 2020 challenger scat pack shaker loaded for 38k before tax with 50k miles. Is it a ok deal? I plan to pay in full, cashier check.
I don’t think that’s a good deal
NO MERCY! NO RETREAT! NO prisoners! This is spartan law!!!!
Can you get lime green seat belts
Soon time to grab a Red Eye much cheaper from one of these dealers and enjoy it, then get a used Hellcat cheap and buy the Demon C170 motor for 28k and have some fun at the track. Get some of these new motors into some older Dodges, fair prices on the motors...
I hear you, but I feel like near me all I see is markups
Like I said over and over again…. Asking prices mean nothing!
I’m gonna give it a shot brother 👍🏽, I’ve been wanting this car for soooo long
I went to a dealer here in central coast California-ish…
Walking around the lot, I think they had about 50 Chargers and 40 Challengers, varying trims
so i just bought a 2023 scatpack and before it was all done it was like 51 with a 2k discount so i was at 49 and then i dont even know how or when but by the time i was out the door i owe 64k for a bare bones scatpack, i feel like i got ripped off, but i wanted the car i mean the monthly payments are pretty crazy, i love the car but i also feel a bit stuck.
Did you finance the car?
yep @@TJF13
Car edge is a great channel
I am interested in a Cadillac Lyriq. I currently live in Las Vegas. Do you think it's possible to get lower than MSRP on that car? It's an electric car that hasn't been out so long. So they still may be strict on it.
BMWS highest maintenance cost amongst all cars . lol
No discounts on Redeyes 😢
Redeyes where expensive to begin with
The Dodge dealers by me still think they can screw you, but the dealers especially in PA are dealing. The guy down the street by me has 2022 Hellcats he's still trying to get top dollar for.
I enjoy CarEdge
What’s the best price to ask ? There’s a scatpack narrow body at 49,920 and that car has been sitting at the dealership for 283 at the dealership what’s the best price to ask for then? Because when you tell them a certain price they basically say I’m crazy for asking that price.
This car is at Shaver CDJR in Thousand Oaks
44 OTD, 42 if you’re confident
@@GloomToon when you mean out the door your also including tax, title and license?
Yeah, $44k including tax, title, and license is a solid deal. Talk to your bank, see if you can get a pre approved loan up to $46k and walk in on a Tuesday morning when it's slow. Have a chat and feel them out. $42k would be a great deal for you and $46k would let everybody eat. Over that walk away.
@@ahoneyman when I gave them my offer they basically didn’t accept it , they’re explanation is that they are already giving it at the best price which is 49,920 . I guess I’ll keep looking out for another one then.
@@Gabriel-yb1ro Keep looking. If it's still there in 2 week's check in again with a pre approved loan. They will know you're serious
Brad I agree with everything you're saying what dog is not going to stop building V8 it might not be a Hemi but it will be a V8 the straight 6 Turbo hurricane and I'm really show Dodgers hypocrisy
What are you trying to say??
January 2024 and beyond will be a fire sale
Some one give me a ballpark OTD price for a 20 charger gt plus with 30k miles, leather and heated seats 🙏🙏 please and thank you.
27k
I’m still holding out till next spring
Great video with lots of good information. The chickens had to come home to roost at some point. Prices are way too high.
Just a constructive criticism note: that background music is terrible and makes the video difficult to watch.
The Stellantis business model is failing in America.
Love your videos! Completely disagree on BMW. I think they are complete junk! I thought my Scatpack Charger drove better than my best friends Beamer.🤷🏻♂️
I don’t care about any dodge cars they lost me some time ago with the marked up Durango I got .went with a supercharged mustang with more hp than a cat they can sit past 2023 and offers them for 10k off msrp dang stealerships .
Stellantis is more Italian owned , look up the Pueget . Nobody buys them . Germans wouldn’t dare touch dodge . Basically from what i can see is that dodge gave out a great pitch about how the future of dodge based on the huge fan base . lol they caught a sucker 😂😂😂😂 end of story . Now they are stuck holding the bag .
Until you can get a scat pack for 38-45k like prior to 2020 I won’t consider it
Saw one for 47 with the dynamics package too that is the asking price msrp is about 51 on that car
No deal on 2023 Honda Type-R
Lol honda will never give out deals were you born yesterday?
Well yea did you read my comment? On that specific car they won’t. My new 2017 civic coupe touring I bought for $23. MSRP was $27K. So Honda will negotiate. Unless you were born yesterday and don’t know how to.
These cars are still priced to high.
Those street takeovers are giving dodge a bad reputation
Don’t buy anything guy! These dealers need to learn !
Your car doesn't have the Wienerschnitzel Disease though……..
