Just a suggestion I place my Piggie's hay in a twig tunnel that they are too big to crawl in so that way it's accessible but they can't poo on it. Saves me so much money. Love your tattoos and vids!

Haha I think the "bathing" thing is a Canadian thing! My friend is from Nova Scotia and she always says bathing. And my half sisters family is all from Alberta and they say it as well. I don't even notice when you say it like that 😂

I love your channel❤️Your piggies are too cute and funny. And Seymour is such a curious one. Always wanting to know what goes on😂 But i just wanted to say that you have helped me with getting ready for my current guinea pig, Teddy. The one important thing that you had taught me is my cage size. A 2x4 cage has just been ordered and it is coming VERY soon. Along with that i am giving her a new playmate. I have Teddy in a Kaytee cage right now which i totally regret because i let Teddy come out for floor time but i let her do it herself cause she gets very stressed when i put my hand in the cage. And one time she almost hurt her foot by getting stuck in one of the wires. She is ok now but if i would've gotten a bigger cage from the start instead of this cage. Any injury would be avoided. But thank you for teaching me about the importance of cage requirements. So that you so much skinnypigs1❤️☺️

Had to make another comment, Abby, I did follow you and the piggie adoptions and the pairing ups that didn't for various reasons work, and what came through, as usual, is what a one of a kind person you really are! You're wonderful, Abby, and I am glad that through me wanting a few guinea pigs to look after in my spare time, I have gotten the chance to sort of know you and your piggies and a little bit about your life, and met through u tube a very dear person indeed!

I always love your videos. It was you (the 1st video I watched about gp's) who made me fall in-love with them. I started off with two & soon added some more buddies for them... & now I have 5 girlies & 3 boys! I love them all so much & can't imagine why I didn't have them sooner!! They all live in my sitting room (in home made cages) with me & often come out of the cage to 'visit' me... & for some hand feeding. They have me wrapped around their cute little paws!

I'm in Atlantic Canada, and most people say bathe-ing, but I have family in other parts of the country who say bath-ing. Might just be a regional thing. Love seeing your adorable piggies
I'm from FL and I've never heard the way you say it but I immediately knew you were from Canada by the way you say certain words. For someone to be so petty and call you illiterate, well, they just have way too much time on their hands...I thought it was cute and made me smile.
I say "bathe", it just depends on where a person is from, i mainly only hear people pronounce it "bathe" in michigan. It is ridiculous how people freak out over how someone pronounces a word especially when both words ending in (ing) are spelt the exact same way. On another note, i love your videos! I recently got two guinea pigs and they are the best! When i get any pet, they are with me for the rest of their lives❤

Well I had been watching your videos for a while now and I fell in love with guinea pigs and I told my mom and she had a long haired guinea pig when she was my age and said yes. And then my sister comes and says I want a guinea pig to. And she had also watched TONS of your videos. But this was right before vacation and our dad said if we r good until we leave for vacation, so it was after vacation and we where coming back to Kentucky, and we begged and begged our mom and dad to take us to the pet store to JUST LOOK. And a week and a half after I had an appointment. After the appointment my dad passed our neighborhood and I asked where we were going, and he said... you and your sister have great while we were on vacation, so we r going to the pet store to get guinea pigs! So we were all excited,but when we went to the pet store they just had one last guinea pig in the cage and I felt really bad for it because it was last. But they did get 6 guinea pigs in in a week. But I couldn't wait so that was the FIRST ONE we brought home. But then a week later they got the six guinea pigs in, so then we went in the day they got there and my sister picked out one. And I stared to notice that mine was acting depressed and he never ever talked, so after we went school shopping and were on our way home I asked if we could look at the guinea pigs, and my mom said yes and so we did. Then we left with a THIRD guinea pig and brought it home and introduced him to the other 2 guinea pigs. And mine was 4 months older than the other and the new one was the youngest so we introduced my sisters guinea pig first and the loved each other. Then came the oldest one and they literally latched on to each other and that was 2 and a half weeks ago and they have been inseparable since!
You should make a fleece collection video!! Also a suggestion for your cage cleaning vids is to maybe use some different fleece patterns because I feel that you use the same ones over and over. But anyway I love your videos and guinea pigs!! ❤️

It's my birthday in November so I'll be able to use birthday money to get Wilfred the rabbit coloured in and start on the next bits. I have so many ideas for other tattoos and not enough money haha. I'd like a UK wildlife/nature set of leg sleeves in the future. I'll get there eventually!
I'm canadian and I've always said it like "take a bath" or I need a bath..I only use bathing when I see someone bathing someone else. oh your bathing your baby. and Bathe-ing is for the Sun

Hey Skinnypigs1 one I just wanted you to know that I love watching your channel I love all your Guinea pigs and that inspired me to get my own he's a male guinea pig and he is 2 months old but he cannot be in the same cage as the girl until he gets neutered.

I would recommend bending the grids of the hay rack more so the hay doesn't fall out as much, or put less hay in and fill it up more often.

I've paired finches and bichon frise but not our guinea. We handle him a lot and he's a good baby.

Quick question, what do you do when you go out of town or on vacation? Do you have a pet sitter or a friend/family member that comes over to watch the piggies? Just curious as your routine is so extensive and you're such a great momma for the piggies (and the bun bun). 😊💓

My boyfriend has a piggy named angus to !!! He's such a good boy I love him so much. Sadly his last one pumpkin got over weight and had a poor diet that messed with them. He felt awful but he's doing much better with angus and he's soon going to get a C&C cage for him !! I've recommended a lot of your videos to him and we both love you and your piggys ! Sadly I don't live with him or near him so I can't see angus other than video chat but I have some fishes of my own who I love dearly !
I must ask what is the argument about fleece not being natural ? Other than it being fabric? It seems as if all the videos I've seen the piggys like the fleece just fine or even more.
I love your videos so much and I have a tip you should put a small blanket In apple and huckles cag3 so that they might go under there instead of the pads also you can so the same thing with Reese also you should put lofts in the cages just for a little change for the pigs

So, I made a hay rack out of a grid just like you use and my girls climb in it. Lol Have yours ever done that? One of mine will even sleep in there sometimes.
I think the way you pronounce bathing is simply a "northern" thing. It's not wrong, it's just different. My BFF is from England and some of the stuff she says makes me laugh. I also always pick on her because she holds her fork differently, with the tines pointing down, it's the European way of doing it, but it just looks funny to me ;)
Seems to be the consensus that just depends where you live and what you are used to.

I have thought about it but then am not interested in all the people who will feel the need to express how much they hate them.
For the bathing bit I always spelled it bathing but pronounced it batheing. Funny how the littlest things offend some people. I've seen comments where people get bothered about the spelling of color instead colour.

I love you so much and I would really appreciate if you could make a video on how to tame your guinea pig I know you've done a video like that a couple years ago but now that you've had more experience with guinea pigs maybe you could make a part to or maybe just give me some advice on how my guinea pigs could like me I've had my guinea pigs for a year now and they still don't really feel very comfortable with me to please help! You have to take them out every day and hand feed them their veggies. Or just let them for a few minutes.

I did notice that you said bathing, I don't really know exactly what's the correct way, but in N.Y most everyone says taking a bath or I am bathing myself, the latter word has a long a sound. I just think it's a little different pronunciation depending on where you live, no big deal that it should be an issue except to laugh about it! Anyone making a comment like that should really check themselves. I mean really, you're so nice to even try to explain, although I would probably done the same thing. Great video!

I DO know someone who has a 4 and 5 small herd of piggies and she has 2 neutered males and a couple females. They do well together because the younger male accepts that the other make is the head of the group. Will depend on their personalities for sure. :-)
It's probably the part of Canada that you live in! Haha. I live in South Dakota and about 75% of ppl say bay-thing and the rest say bathing. Maybe the word is becoming extinct the farther north you travel? 😆

Where did you purchase the hay racks? One of my guineas has started to shove his head so far into the holes in his hay bag that it gets stuck. I've since just been doing hay piles but it's kind of wasteful like when your pigs pee on it
That is a grid bent in half.
I made my own hay bags because I had racks(That I made like Abbie, my piggy idol lol) and my pigs got in those too lol I just make sure my hay monsters bags are filled or pushed down daily. BUT occassionally I get a sleepy piggy in 1, they really love Hay!!!
you should give the other Guinea dad liner to Apple and huckle they might like the little pouch because you said they only like to go under it
I did for floor time and they enjoyed the pouch!
Yep haha one of my piggies Tammy passed and I tryed to put my other 2 piggies with Carmel tammys old partner..... but Carmel wanted to be the boss and be mean so I had to just put her in herself🤷♀️
Awesome video. Do you clean your washing machine? If so how? I would love to put my girls back on fleece but I got so many complaints last time from my family due to the hair that ended up in the machine. Even after using a pet laundry bag and a rinse cycle afterwards the machine was still full of hair :(
In the UK northern people say bath /bathing like you and in the south you say you are going to or have a bath - pronounce Barth.
I've noticed u always us 2 liners per cage? What sizes are those and do u find it easier than just one big one ? Love ur videos 😁
