3:45 the reason only one light was turned on is because that's the angle your steering wheel was pointed to. It's designed to better illuminate the road for you depending on which way you're steering the vehicle.

I use to have a BMW x5 & i LOVED it! I'm pretty sure the small round lights turn on when the wheel is turned in that direction but I could be wrong. Such a beautiful car, congratulations!!

The reason because one light was turning on was because your X5 has the cornering lights and that means that whatever way you turn the steering wheel,the lights will point that way so that you can see what in the corner and where you are going

Hey girl. I have BMW. The little lights on the front turn on depending on direction you have wheels turned. Only one turns on at a time. To help light the path. When I brought my home I almost died thinking one was broken.

After seeing this video and the experience that I had this week, I think you made the right choice. I didn't comment when you where deciding between the RR sport and the X5, but I leased a RR Sport for 3 years and owned an X5 for about 5 years. When we got the RR sport, I was driving the X5 and the dealer told me it would ruin my love of BMW's. I have to admit, the Rovers drive like butter. I've owned 4 BMW's in my 47 years and have nothing negative to say about them. We loved our RR sport and were sad to see it go at the end of the 3rd year. We had the X5 for the duration of the RR lease. The X5 was the 4.8 prototype of the M Series, which you apparently have. So, I had nothing of value to offer you, but that, we obviously have similar taste. :) BUT, I'm finding out more and more negative stuff about Land Rover regarding mechanical issues, service, and response from the parent company. We are currently driving an LR4 that we leased and then purchased. It's a 2013 with @ 70k miles on it (we drive non-stop). Issues are starting to pop up that uber expensive. The service department at the dealers just gouge you on parts and labor, and their 8/80 emissions warranty is vague at best. In communication to find details on the warranty, they just funnel you back to the dealer. It's a giant circle. I also feel very stressed at the dealer when purchasing or getting service. Never felt like that at BMW. I think when the we are blessed enough to be able to buy another car, I think I'm going back to the X5. RR Sport was top of my list, but I've lost a lot of faith in the brand. I mean, the brakes go bad every year or so. It's like put better brakes on the darn thing. It's a luxury car, with a luxury sticker, but I feel like its a trap for consumers to be a customer of the service department. You made a great choice, your car is beautiful, so enjoy! And I will be checking your recommendations for BMW, because if you got such a good deal, I'll drive from Charleston up there to save $$ ;)
I had the BMW X6 active hybrid years ago. Most beautiful car ever. Loved it, love BMW overall. It flooded on one of many Houston floods. 😢😢😢. Moved on to something bigger in size because of kids car seats and strollers but now that kids are bigger definitely going back to a BMW in the next year or so. Congrats it's beautiful.
Nice beamer! I currently have a 08 Z4 with the same wood trim as your X5 really gives it a classy look. Just be careful as with age it tends to get hairline cracks.

You're closer to Performance BMW in Chapel Hill, so you can go there rather than Leith for any preventative maintenance, etc. Performance is much easier to get to coming from Cary than having to take 540 to Capital to get to Leith. How did you get that exhaust on on the 35? I thought it was only available on the 50. Maybe its cause its a 2017 I only saw the 16 when we were buying. Looks mean nevertheless! 😤😤

The other light down dosent work because when you turn to left and Then the parkinglight do work on only left side, but if you turn to right Then the parking light only work on right side. And when you drive stright, the both works:))

It has light assist, meaning that it turns on the lower fog light when turning to either left or right. That is why it only turned on one side. :)
