Webewebbing makes top quality canvas. Made a summer top for my 47 Cj 2a with a mb front window. He’s the best out there.
Much easier to take the spare off when installing and then leave the canvas on rolled up behind the rear seat. Saves a great deal of time if you get caught in a sudden downpour.

I believe wee bee webbing has a few in stock now. You need 10 for your windshield.

Remove the spare tire!
It makes it easier, but nobody would spend the time to do it in the field
@@kyleh3615 First, you were not "in the field", you were in the motor pool. Second, if you were "in the field" you would not spend any time putting on the top! This from personal experience.
