    I bought this turntable in 1978 when I was 13 years old from money I earned picking strawberries in my summer holidays. It was at the peak of the disco era and I bought a truckload of singles and became the elementary class DJ using this one to some parties we had (13-15 years of age). After some cartridge upgrades I later in my teens turned audiophile and learned this turntable did really well also as an awesome source for critical listening.

    If your counter weight is set at 2.5 g, your antistate should also be set at 2.5. I have the same turntable that I bought not working for my pawn shop for $50 and I completely restored it. It’s a great machine.

    I picked one up at GW last year for about $30! It was in perfect working order and about 9 out of 10 for condition! I now use it as my main player.

    This is the one I picked up a few months ago. It had to be cleaned for it to be automatic, that works fine now. The repeat is still not working though ( but I haven't tried it in a while). There was one thing that came with it that I am not sure what it is for, take a look at my videos regarding it if you can.

      That Black thing is a technics 45 Stacker Adapter. It is not for the SL-3300. Technics made some models that were made for multi-play like for example 3350, or 1950. These turntables had a higher Dust Cover and could have records stacked on the spindle with the cover closed. They came with a thin metal spindle for 33's and an adapter you have for using with 45's. You can sell that adapter on Ebay. People are always looking for them. You will be amazed at the price for that little adapter.

    I have just got one of these, i had to clean a section and put fresh grease on it to stop it from constantly playing ( it would keep repeating and never actually stop) this is now fixed but one other problem it has is that it is very slow when you press start/stop, it does function correctly but takes apx 8 seconds to stop/start where on your video yours only takes 2-3 seconds to do so , any ideas what is required required

    Could you share where you got the replacement dust cover? I've resurrected my SL 3300. I can repair the dust cover, but would like to replace it. Big surprise as to the value of this near 50 year old equipment

    Hey Razdude, i have this same model of record player but it is a bit more slower with thr automations, is normal or should i do something?

    • @razdudesnowboardingebay8438
      @razdudesnowboardingebay8438  3 года назад

      It's most likely old grease inside the mechanism that is causing it to be slower than this one. Old grease beccomes hard or sticky over time. If you are not handy and it is working don't mess with it. If you are handy you can open it up and remove and change the grease. That should solve it.
