I started my journey in this industry in August 22 2018 @18 years old thinking this was going to be a hobby for a few years. And then start an “actual” career after that .But because of you ive finished school,got my license, and I have been in a shop for 5 months now cutting 12+ heads a day. Anyone who is still on the edge on if they want to make this a profession , I can tell you know this has been the best decision of my life! Everything chris puts out on these video is 100% authentic and straight facts! If I can give a tip to any new barber ,that is be a sponge and soak every ounce of information giving to you and use it to benefit yourself in the best way possible!

cutting out my apartment and have a decent clientele for my weekends, but working full time and barbering weekends. It’s tough bc I don’t have a license and living by myself in Cali ain’t no joke. School too expensive and takes too much time. May have to move back home and live rent free to get my license 🥺😂

Hey boss! Idk which part of Cali you live in but I live in Fresno. There’s a school called IOT and they have a barbering course that has the most realistic payment ever. I don’t go there but I know a buddy that does and he pays $80 a month for 8/10 years to go full time but they allow you to pay more. Compared to me when I downed 3k and did $500 a month. Goodluck tho boss and I hope you pursue your passion 🙏🙏🙏
Tell Mom or Dad to help pay for school and that would be a present they can give you so you can start Good in life.i would help my kids ...or try to get a school loan...good luck .

Happy to see this. My wife has 3 boys in elementary. I practice on them with whal and andis . Walmart clippers actually. Learning comfortably of fades, shear work, clipper over comb and trial and error. Getting on the school grind soon.

I’m late to the game turning 50 and all of the younger generation is inspiring with there knowledge and how they have changed the game of barber. For me you are so good at what you do. I'm a cosmetology student but I am thinking about taking the barber class once I graduate. ThankS for all the great tips. My favorite clippers are the BaByliss pro RoseFx, I just got them and I gave my husband an amazing fade. I used to hate doing men's cuts.

There are days when I'm out of time, nobody's available & I have a big event so I grab my clippers, grab my mirror hit the restroom & get to cutting, at first it took me about 2 hours but I can get it done in about 15, 20 minutes now, worth the time & sacrifice... advice, when starting off dont do it on special days like weddings & things like that just do it on a regular week when you have nothing coming up, maybe I just need better time management but I don't regret learning that skill, Much love tho Chris your an inspiration in the Barber industry & in a business sense as well 💯🙏

After watching you and other barber youtuber’s, I feel like I’m late into going to barber school and have wasted my time not picking my career.
