Shibuya-kei stuff like Pizzicato 5 seems to have died out quite a lot. Reminds me of grunge and ska here in America. Both genres died out in the early 2000s. Most Japanese people I've talked to have at least heard of Blue Hearts though.

YASSSS all the Sandaime and Exile fans!! I listen to a lot of Exile Tribe groups songs (The Rampage, Generations, Sandaime JSB, Exile The Second, etc), E-Girls, One Ok Rock and Da-iCE. LDH artists are so damn talented I cannot
They are too mainstream and people tend to hate that, especially AKB48 have lots of attack points (otaku and lolicon stigma for example). I predict same thing will happen to Nogizaka46 (乃木坂46) and Keyakizaka46 (欅坂46) 2-3 years later when they are too popular.
I am happy that a lot of people mentioned 3jsb. They seem to be really popular. I really love 3jsb and Exile😍. I was expecting Flower or at least E-Girls. But yes kana Nishino was mentioned ❤
I think a lot of hate comes from his personality, fan base, and positioning. If you only listen to his music without knowing the context, there's little reason to hate him.
I'm surprised how none of you commented on his profile picture. It makes this comment 200% more funny. (Look up "Hideki Tojo" if you still don't know. A little fun history lesson awaits you)

I like Hello project songs Kana Nishino E-girls Hey Say Jump songs...etc. I listen basically to everything but I'm not that close to rnb and rap/hip hop. My favourite genres are pop, rock and ballads (?)

OMG I can't believe I found someone who likes both MX and 3JSB too. You have an amazing taste in boygroups! :D
@@bluefruitfly Thank you very much. You are too kind. I don't think I know anyone who likes both groups as well. Are you also a MX and 3JSB fan?
Glad you didn't have me as the interviewer, since I would start fangirling with those who said Exile or Sandaime 😂
Same with me xD
Not one person mentioned The Mad Capsule Markets? I thought they were meant to have been really big in Japan before they went on hiatus? Heck, their bass player Takeshi Ueda produced Gimme Chocolate and Awadama Fever for Babymetal (also nobody mentioned Babymetal).
Am I just old and jaded now? :(
Waiting for Aimer... Dissapoint.
My favorite bands are l'arc en ciel, x japan and malice mizer.
This street interview as amazing!
And you guys are really kind and funny
Yuta, could you go around Japan and show the various accents there are !?
I'd love to if someone sponsored me :)
That Japanese Man Yuta can you ask japanese people what they think about visual kei and why they think it isint Popular anymore?

3:03 I'm here for this
So we are!!!!
The awkward moment when Yuta is told "Your Japanese is good"...I burst out laughing...But Seriously I am very surprised when Japanese people get confused by the looks of other Japanese...I am sure Yuta is 100% Japanese..
I am but I guess I wasn't really 'acting Japanese' so they weren't sure.
The lady said "You didn't look Japanese"..But it's interesting when you say you weren't really acting Japanese..I wonder what you mean by that..Asking people about what kind of music they like is not Japanese behavior??
I think wearing T-shirt + rucksack also had an influence on her thought of Yuta not being Japanese
I'm suprised that many people say V-Kai bands and no one mencionated the GazettE o:
Tamales I love tamales
omg that girl that listens to big banggg
I can only recommend Visual Kei!
It's kind of a music/style genre in Japan.
I'm really surprised that SuG is (still) so popular in Japan. I never knew.
Also happy to hear some l'Arc-en-ciel
Visual Kei isn't really a music genre though, it's more like a fashion style😉
i just recently got into more j-pop and j-rock like one ok rock and aimer and didnt realize how unpopular it seems to be for locals in japan. Its really cool to see that music tastes are so diverse though! I wish i had studied up on my Japanese more when i visited this summer so i couldve talked about music and stuff i like from Japan but maybe next time :P Was expecting a lot more rock fans though at least since it seems like rock is really popular in Japan, whereas here in the US its kinda dead lol
So, Some Indonesian In Japan Likes Laruku So Much
(Their Music Is Pretty Good BTW)
Pras Setio menit keberapa?
i was waiting for them to say E-Girls or FLOWER though 😯 quite a lot of them listen to kpop. nice
seokjin kim Kpop is shit, there is nothing nice about it.

JrockSubs okay we get that you don't like it but if you have nothing good to than don't say it her.
Björk wohooo icelandic music!

I love ONE OK ROCK, BABY METAL, and some AKB songs, and i enjoy Indonesia Pop, the last is EDM😍
1:48. Good taste.
RHCP and Nirvana
I like Hello project songs Kana Nishino E-girls Hey Say Jump songs...etc. I listen basically to everything but I'm not that close to rnb and rap/hip hop. My favourite genres are pop, rock and ballads (?)
Shaimaa Ennaji do you like Seether?
