It was cool to see how the bite progressed throughout the evening transition into dark. Great to see the fish busting bait around the boat too. Nice one, Todd!
Gulp Minnow for the win!!! If I was told I could only own and fish one artificial bait the rest of my life it would be the Gulp Minnow, they catch everything!!! Just don't be like me and spill the Gulp juice in your wife's car, I am no longer allowed to take her car when I go fishing LOL. I live in Huntersville and fish mostly local neighborhood ponds because my fishing time is limited, especially in the winter months when it gets dark so early, but on the weekends in the winter months I will try to make a few trips to the public fishing area at McGuire. It gets a lot of pressure there but there are always big ones blowing up on the surface and I have caught a few decent ones there in the past. If you haven't tried the Core Tackle Hover Rig, it works great, check it out. It also gives the bait that spiral downfall action, making the bait look like a dying bait fish and then snapping the rod up when the bait hits the bottom, causing an erratic side to side to side action which will get reaction bites from any fish that follows it down to the bottom.
Thanks for the tip, just picked up some Core Tackle Hover Rigs. Doing another trip to Norman on Saturday. Hahah, about you wife's car! Whoops. But that gulp juice flows quickly and I may have spilled an entire container or two, myself. Thanks for watching!
@@YFAwithTodd The hover rigs work good on Zoom flukes and stick baits/senkos. It gives the fish a different look at baits that are most commonly thrown in areas that get a lot of pressure.
Great trip man thanks for sharing!
