"I got all my stuff, water and a fan because it's hot. Now, what are we doing Sammy?" Is this the same Rev that was petrified at the thought of entering a lock in the early videos? You guys have sure come a long way! Definitely enjoy the videos.
Bought our 52' Silverton at Jefferson Beach 2 years ago...brought it around to Grand Haven on Lake Michigan...amazing trip!! Definitely stop at Mackinaw Island!!!
@@WhatYachtToDo The Pink Pony ...>Best Bloody Mary's!!! Best $$$ dinner...Island House 1852 Room!! Fancy and great food!! If you can, bike around the island....beautiful water and views! Enjoy!
What a nice ride. Too bad ya couldn't stop in Canada like you wanted. That is super cool some fans sent you the photo and video. You guys are Super Stars :-) Be well and smooth travels you two.
@@WhatYachtToDo Sam did you happen to get my email in response to the last update you and Rev did? Just want to make sure you received it because it says it was sent from my end.
Lots of fun being in a "Foreign Country, eh?" Got to have some excitement. As long as the Canadians do not fire a shot across your bow you are good. Phrases from their National Anthem., "O Canada! .... .... .... The True North strong and free! .... .... God keep our land glorious and free! .... .... O Canada, we stand on guard for thee."
Don't know if they deliver or if they are still open. Green Lantern pizza. House made pepperoni. Training class in Troy, Yes a little bit away, but met friends (1995) and that's where they took us. Also caught Tigers baseball game in old stadium. Seat behind a pillar, but 1/4 full stadium so moved wherever we wanted. Know I said less than a year behind, but guess these are not from date posted. I'll get there though
Love that some fellow followers and boaters got some shots of you guys! Have you guys passed under the Bluewater bridge yet in current time? Our marina is right at the bridge and was gonna try and get a few shots of you guys also. Funny story, you passed us between Bobcaygen and Fenelon Falls two years ago on your first loop. We have been following you since :) Have a great trip and keep up the great videos.
Yes, I think I remember you waving to us... We are past the Bluewater bridge. Stayed in Port Huron Yacht Club for four days. Loved that area. Our videos are posted about 3-4 weeks after the trip. Our newsletter that comes out on the 5th and 20th of the month and we put in our intended route. Thanks so much for following us! 😎
This video was awesome! I'm from the area, I live in Leamington and have lots of family that live in Windsor. Was pretty awesome seeing you guys go under the Ambassador Bridge! Oh and Rev, I made your Instant Pot Pulled Pork.. My parents loved it, my son and his cousin say it's the best they've ever had and I think the same! 😅 Safe travels! And maybe I'll see you guys when I start my Loop journey in '24!
Dumb quest...if the boat is running why do you need the generator on to use elect in the galley? I just fig if the engines are on you can use anything on the boat. Great vicarious view of Lake Erie!!!
Hi. The Range is the only item in the galley that needs dedicated Group 1 power (hi draw) which can only be done via Shore Power or Generator. Engines have alternators that keep the battery banks charged underway and an Inverter then takes the battery bank DC and turns it into AC for appliance outlets in the kitchen as well as the ice maker in the Lido deck. 😊
I have watched and enjoyed most of your videos. I saw on a previous video how frustrated you were with Canadian restrictions, and I realize it caused you some delays and some money. However, you may or may not know that the US border is even more restrictive for us Canadians wanting to do short term visits. Also, our borders are due to open to fully vaccinated US citizens on Aug 9, while the US government has decided to keep us out, even though Canada has a higher rate of vaccination and lower rate of infection.
Did you by chance have the opportunity to eat at Brownies while you were there. It used to be called the Lido and had an old Chris Craft inside the restaurant as part of the decor.
We really enjoy watching your videos, Sam and Rev! You've been instrumental in building the confidence of the Admiral, as she's new to all of this. We are currently cruising the western Michigan shore (St. Joe right now with South Haven, Grand Haven, Ludington, and eventually Mackinac on our itinerary) and hope to see you as you come through. St. Joe and New Buffalo are two terrific stops if you haven't been yet. Wishing you flat water and following winds!
Hi Mat, thanks so much for the compliments. This loop, we will be doing the west side of the lake, so the closest we will get is Hammond, IN. You can get our twice monthly newsletter with the inside scoop by signing up on on our website.
Well, we did what we could. A Bay, Clayton, St Vincent, Navy Point, wish we could have done more, but had an unexpected trip needed for medical that impacted our plans. 😔
@@WhatYachtToDo Yea in a U-2 there is not much room to move around! I would love to try and land one! Flying is the second greatest thrill known to mankind, Landing is the first!

A few years ago due to a huge algae bloom, the city of Toledo couldn't draw water from that water intake you showed.

I grew up a couple of miles from there. Hope you had a chance to explore the Nautical Mile while you were there!
Just a quick night there, but did get a good feel for it. Wonderful boating!
oh hey, *I* got a question....
do you perfer a GLASS PANEL ??? or old skool vacume gauges ... in a ''personal aircraft'' platform????
Glass unless it's a vintage aircraft!

/thank for the great videos. Sam is it easier to navigate a boat or a =n airplane?
Well that's a great question! I guess a boat is easier because I don't have to be strapped in and talk to controllers all day! 😊
