Thanks for checking out my request 😊. I thought you’d enjoy it. And I wanted to bring some attention to the Playing for Change RUclips channel. It’s not just a channel for great music, it’s a movement to unify people through music. They’ve got some fantastic videos, but their Song Around the World videos are magical. ❤❤❤
I totally agree. All the performances on Playing For Change are fabulous, emotionally powerful and bring a spirit of optimism about the human spirit. Check it out y’all. It’ll make your heart feel better. ❤️
I agree. Phenominal cover with John Paul Jones on Bass and Stephen Perkins on Drums, insane backbone and then the singers, Susan Tedeschi and the Maori chick from New Zealand, killing it
The music, as always with Playing for Change, isn't just the gathering of musicians, it's the joy that everyone was feeling. The children dancing on the beach is my nominee for a Grammy. It's not the music; it's how the music makes folks react.
This is a rabbit hole worth exploring. The power in each song they do like this is phenomenal. Like you said, it brings everyone together in a magical, musical way.

Hey Polo ~ You CANNOT go wrong with any of the Playing For Change videos. They are all tremendous! Roberto Luti, the first guitarist on this track, plays on a lot of the Playing For Change videos. He's just a phenomenal guitarist! The variety of instruments from around the world and the way they blend them into each song is stunning. Look through their videos to see if they have songs you already know on it (they probably do!) and give those a reaction. =)
I love the whole Playing for a Change Series. Music is at the very soul of humanity, wonderful. Pick any song in this series, it will make your day better. People who truly love music will always come together for great music
Sitting on the dock of the bay was my introduction to Playing For Change. Rodger Ridley and Grandpa Eliot were amazing!!! Made me want to roadtrip and see all the street performers in person!!!!
LOVE THESE GUY"S!!! Every song they cover has made me smile. From some songs all would recognize in western culture some songs from different cultures they do like Chan Chan and Chandra Mama are just 2 of my fav's. Again you'll see more artist's from around the world Chan Chan is a definite groove speaking of groove try their version of Groove in G ....mind blown!
Playing For Change is one of my top music channels. So glad to see it up on your channel. Math may be the universal language of the world's minds, but Music is the universal language of the world's hearts. ♥
Playing for change became globally viral many years ago with Stand by me ( Ben E. King cover) … needs checking out if only just to see the staggering amount of views this track has. Since then, the collective has produced a lot of great music, and more recently in collaboration with some of the creators of their covers (John Paul Jones, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, Ringo Starr and a whole lot more). If I were to recommend another delve into this world (aside from the above mentioned MUST) it would be When the Levee Breaks.
I sent Polo PFC doing Levee some months ago. I hope he will check it out. That one is one of my faves from PFC, along with Jackson Brown’s Doctor My Eyes.
Playing For Change has so many wonderful songs. Their live version of what's going on is classic. I also love that we all seem to have a different favorite of theirs!
I've spent hours watching cover song videos like this on the Playing For Change RUclips channel! There are tons of banger covers like this one, and one of my favorites is "The Weight" originally sung by "The Band". And the video includes Robbie Robertson (RIP) of The Band.
Playing for Change is incredible! This is an amazing production that combines so many cultures to combine, share & sing out! Thank you so much for sharing this one!
Great reaction Polo. Heartfelt and thoughtful. I liked listening to what you had to say. And who wouldn’t love this track?! Aces all around. Thanks man.
Clarence Bekker had a successful career in the Netherlands, but gave it up to go to play as a street artist, and he joined playing for a change. He’s phenomenal as street-artist. That’s how I learned about him, a video where he plays in Barcelona as street artist, and managed to made his performance into a sing-along with the public. He’s very good in engaging the public. And he’s a very good singer of course.
Polo ---- thanks so very much for sharing this video. I agree with you in saying this is the best cover of this song I've ever heard. The amazing production and editing to mix all these musicians from all around the world is a skill all on its own. Fantastic groove, amazing vocals and that lead solo was killing it.
That blend of bluesy expression with fantastic African musicians is to die for. If you ever want to hear something with incredible appeal by an African musician, try Anouar Brahem - The Astounding Eyes of Rita.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Playing For Change. Been following their channel for some time now. I would like to shout out the producers (whoever they all are, my goodness what a feat) I had CHILLS the entire video. Thanks Polo. You are a class act. 😎
Stunning video ... I love the skill-set, I love the way so many people are brought together from around the world ... the flow was mesmerizing, from the musical instruments to the vocals ... simply beautiful .... as a sidenote the version of "too many people making the soup". while I was going-up was the following: "too many cooks spoil the broth" 😅😂
That’s so crazy. When I ran across your channel the other day the first thing I thought I’d love to see you react to was Playing For Change “Stand By Me”. I listened to that song 1000x in 2011. Please react to it if you can find it.
Love this Playing For Change cover. They do a great Nirvana cover to of Come As You Are and then also Robbie Robertson's The Weight(which has Robbie playing guitar and Ringo Starr drumming).
I was street jamming in Lisbon Portugal a few years ago with a Japaneses guy and a guy from Brazil came along, then a Romanian gypsy, a French Manouche guitarist, a couple of female Portugese Fado singers and a Russian girl singing. A couple could speak English but most of the communication was done just by the jamming. You can't tell me that music doesn't bring people together.
Playing for change is absolutely amazing not a bad cover every video makes me smile I am grinning from ear to ear. Check out some of the other options fabulous.
Thanks for this one! If you liked the desert rock played on the shiny guitar, be sure to check out the group Tinariwen or the guitarist Mdou Moctar. It's a unique and addictive groove.
I sent you Playing For Change doing Led Zep’s When The Levee Breaks months ago. John Paul Jones is playing on it and it is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I would also recommend Jackson Brown & Playing For Change doing Doctor My Eyes.
Too many people making the soup AKA too many cooks in the kitchen. Also the shiny guitar is called a National guitar. You can see one on the cover of Dire Straits “ Brother in Arms” album.

There is a cover of 'When the levee breaks' (Led Zeppelin) from Playing for change that you must see. (No joke) Featuring John Paul Jones on the bass.
Such a good song in general, but they really make it groovey. ❤

My favorite part of the instrumentals was the guy playing the Kora (long necked, 21 strings).
Dude had a long neck harp sounding like BB King.
I love stuff like this and it's great music, very unique.

RHCP does one of musics best covers ever of Higher Ground and it still falls short of the original..im thinking this has dropped RHCP to 3rd
Heartwarming and soul lifting
Agree wholeheartedly with @JB-zz8mk, my favorite Playing for Change video is the cover of "When the Levee Breaks"

Playing for Change...Buskers from different countries are filmed playing the same song and then the video is made from patches of everyone.
I always loved Stevie Wonder's music. Sometimes you just need a little Superstition.
Loved it!

Have you listened to any other song from that channel? Their rendition of When the Levee Breaks is really powerful.
Very nice ❤
