Nice video Tally. It has been a long time since I saw slip corking. Down here in the basin we slip cork too, about 2’ deep! 😂 Fishing our water down her is like fishing a dinner plate. I hope to see you in a couple of weeks. Do you have cabins open in March?

Like how your maps are setup that depth highlight is sweet I been using navionics, just downloaded lakemaster toledo's bend last night, Could never highlight the depth with the navionics, I was too deep last weekend, muddy too, never found them you think main lake is better clearer or

I think Lakemasters is about the best mapping you can get. The main lake has been a little stained but not near as bad as the backs of creeks. Who knows how things will be after all this cold is over. The crappie would have been spawning soon but that will be pushed back now

What kind of set up do you have on that pontoon boat?

You said early March will be pre-spawn? I’ll be spending a weekend up there first weekend of March, what water temp will make them come up to the shallow?

Depending on the weather they are usually spawning by early March. Last year I was catching on cypress trees in 2 ft of water on March 6th. The water temp needs to be around 61 or 62 when they really start spawning. By the time it gets to 65 it’s wide open.

@@toledobendfishhoundsguides3675 thanks man! I enjoy your videos. I’ve always been a bass fisherman but I’m getting hooked on crappie too. Hope we can catch of few of each while we’re there.

Have you been doing any fishing since all the snow? I’m heading that way next Thursday. Been looking for reports around the lake but they’re so inconsistent I don’t know what to think, lol.
