Crappie Fishing/Plans Change/Hair Jigs

In this video I had intended to chase the first pre-spawn crappie of the year. The wind forecast was wrong as it is a lot, so I has to come up with another game plan. Tallion, loved the video, very informative. I try to always add a red thread, a small piece of red feather or some red flash. You probably already know this, if you will paint the head with some clear Sally Hanson's then dip the head in some silver glitter. Allow it to dry and add a 2nd coat of Sally H. The 2nd coat will hold the glitter but will still allow it to sparkle. I used this one day with a friend who is a local legend, a well know tournament fisherman and much better fisherman than I am. We were fishing side by side in his boat and I caught several before he caught any. He finally said what are you doing different than I am? I gave him one and we both started catching. You have got to get their attention. Many blessings to you my friend.

Nice video Tallion.Stay on them. I used to tie a similar jig to your bleeding shiner. Black head and wings. Silver ice body and red tail. That gig was deadly in dirty water. See you in a few weeks.

With no electronics I would be spider rigging the River channel during the winter months. I wouldn’t have found some of the fish I caught that day but I would have caught more roaming fish.
