- Welcome to my series on how to climb out of iron rank in league of legends. I wanted to make a video series showing League of Legends players who may be stuck in the lower ranks, Iron, Bronze, Silver, etc, how to win and climb out of those ranks. I thought of some alternate titles, such as How to Climb Out of Low Ranks, How to Carry with Darius, Darius Carries Iron, or How to win in Iron, but in the end the term, "elo hell" is just too catchy. This time I play Darius top vs a Sett with a dominate performance. I show concepts that are fundamental to climbing in league of legends like slow pushing, roaming and roaming timers, objective focus, and capitalizing on your lead to keep yourself and your team ahead. I will be making more videos with a greater focus on explaining these concepts more in depth and other concepts i didn't get to in this video.
In case anyone asks, I'm not a challenger player. I routinely make it to platinum and haven't tried to climb past that in some time. Once I have finished climbing this account to at least silver i may make a series documenting my climb and how you can improve to continue climbing the ranked ladder

it was a good vacation but the grind never stops
Great vid! Couple things I noticed was this: at 15 min when you cleared top after drag, you could have rotated for blue buff and then helped with rift sooner and made the possible fight not even a chance. Additionally, you could have possibly looked into frozen heart as a way to get more mana as well as cdr and slowing the auto attacks of there mostly as team
Hey! thanks so much for the feedback and support! Frozen heart definitely would have been a good buy this game. It tends to be a blind spot for me as an armor item choice. The rotation to blue buff isn't a bad call and may have been better than backing. My only rebuttal would be that when I backed after clearing that top wave i did have about 2K gold. I didn't finish a full item, but the spike off that gold felt important to me at the time. In any case keeping my eyes on the map and trying to make the best decision based off of that information is always a good idea.
Good vid, one tip I'd mention is you hyperfocus on objectives over winning your lane, each time you rotated to grubs/Drag you allowed sett to free farm and get back into the lane. Despite cleaning up kills you lost your level lead, need to prioritise farm for levels/gold over early objectives which don't actually impact the game as much as you think, otherwise you're not expanding your lead and letting their top free farm/take plates, gold/levels>objectives. Still a solid vid for low elo
i can see that with my insistence on getting the grubs even without the help of my jungler. ill keep it in mind :)
