  • Tom was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) twenty years ago. But it took the illness of his sister to really wake up to the threat posed to him by Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH). Tom describes his journey, and has sound words of advice for others.

20 years!!!!!! I have a fatty liver right now. My primary never said anything except that my triglycerides are high, my cholesterol is high that was it. I was only advised of it when I had a PET scan for something completely different cancer. No meds for fatty liver, all about diet. No carbs, no wine lots of greens and bitters. Liver can regrow if coughs early enough.

Try the KETO DIET for few weeks and it should improve your well being, or just eat much less carbohydrates and cut out the sugar.

I been an Obese person most of my life.I have a Fatty Liver and thankfully Im down 50 pounds from 2021 when I was made aware. Im down to 330 lbs.
If you reading this.Avoid DIET SODAS as well.I been a Diet Cola drinker for many years (10+ years) and I cut them out,and somehow I moved from that Plateau Stage.I was already eating less, but I had a tendency to drink an equivalent of 4 cans of Diet Cola a Day,7 days a week.
I cut them sodas out and some miracle is taking place in my body and also my Liver test Numbers are and have been improving...
Good Luck to you all.Dont let your Fatty Liver move up to the NASH stage-- avoid it.

@Mir Ahmad Akbari I have fatty liver that I have known for a while now, and I am fasting for 18 hours 5 times a week. I have lost some weight, but it has been hard to lose it without going full on keto diet.
