My friend offered to help a guy with sign saying will work for food. Offered him a job for a week in construction. Said he'd give him permanent job if it works out. Even iffered to buy him breakfast first. Guy said I don't want your job. I want money for my drug habit. I don't want to work.
There's a couple that sit by the off ramp by the Valley Medical Center hospital in Washington state WITH THEIR KIDS. 1 in a stroller that the wife has next to her and the husband straps the other one to him. The husband stands down the road. Their sign says they are Refugees and they listed their paypal!!! I'm so furious. They were there for HOURS in the heat with the kids.... I hate people. The people giving them money are apart of the problem.

Nah I've panhandled and spend 99.9% on drugs...it has nothing to do with anything else I'm sure their are a few ppl who don't spend it on drugs or alcohol but out of the ones I know they all spend it on drugs

Another one claimed to be from Historic Canada. When I actually contacted the real Edmonton Police and Historic Canada, they said they were not doing any fundraising.
I tried pan handling one time, asking for money to get Propane gas with no-one wanting to help and I live off social security and what tiny amount of food stamps the government wants to give me, have also had to go to food banks and beg for help, no one seems to care about the actually truly poor people anymore cause these scammers driving away in good vehicles or maybe own fancy homes. I got myself and two dogs to feed, yet no-one acts like they care about the poor cause of these scammers. We poor people get treated like criminals cause of the actual criminals out there doing these schemes, it's not right or fair to the actually truly poor people. I have been out of Propane like five years now, been cooking on hotplates, bought a water kettle and microwave, just to cook with or heat water, I have no inside water, so I have to go collect water from a spout or wash dishes outside and no money to get new pipes put in the house. Social security doesn't give me enough money to fix the house or move away. Electric so old that it has a asphalt or vinyl coated fabric jacket and no money to replace it. I also checked in on seeing about getting natural gas and was told it would cost $1500, that is two social security checks plus part of a third one. I love propane, I love it because I am paying one price unlike natural gas where you have to pay every month and propane you don't have to pay monthly, cause I am on social security, you never know if you have money to pay your monthly bills especially when they are extremely high, I used two electric heaters for winter last year cause after that incident of overloading the power and almost causing a fire in other than the outlet, could of burned the house down cause of having to use electric heaters, I can't have more than two electric heaters and two will not heat the home and it cost almost $200 on my electric bill and with price increases everywhere, I will have to pay alot more this year, maybe $300 or more. Poor people like myself can't make it and it's like the system is rigged against poor people especially when you got scammers and schemers making it hard on poor people. There is too much paperwork for the truly poor to get food stamps and for what, just $20, pathetic, people have messed things up for the truly poor person. SAD, VERY VERY SAD! JUST TERRIBLE HOW THINGS GOT FOR THE TRULY POOR WHO ARE NOT SCAMMERS!
Scammer or not, a lot of people just don’t want to give to panhandlers. Personally I don’t believe in just giving someone something for nothing, so I don’t give to any of them. Also depending on where you live, if there’s so many panhandlers people will learn to start ignoring & block them out.

I knew a guy that made a fortune begging. He would walk to his Mercedes, change clothes, take off his dirt makeup and go to his nice house. I have a lot of compassion, but donate to charity instead of individuals who seem to have money for iPhones and cigarettes.
It works for me to get by, that's it, I work tho, I'm a Hobo, sometimes I do this to get basic needs met, I can make a few bucks, enough for what I need and than not panhandle after one time, than get kn a train and leave....I'm a different breed of "homeless" these people are what Hobos call: "Homebums" they do not travel, the never leave, usually addicted to something blah blah blah, I am a Hobo, I do Panhandle when I have to to get basic needs met, however its not my main source of income, if I want over a grand, I work at farms......

We had the same problem in Chattanooga and they all organized like this and just about all of them do drugs here they haven't offered jobs but they refused to accept
I live in a small city, and until recently the only panhandlers was a small group of regulars who were known to community and police. They were never aggressive and generally tolerated. Might see someone 1 or twice a week with sign Recently groups of new people with more aggressive approach and creative pitches. This cast of characters seems to change often and covers the prime locations almost continuously. Makes me believe it's organized.
People ask why I truly live in the middle of no where..Nearest neighbor several miles away. This video is the reason. I drove professionally for decades doing wide load specialized hauling which took me to every big city hell hole in the US. NYC to LA and everywhere in between. You learn ‘ situational awareness’ real quick. Night time especially…I’m sure theres an exception here and there but my experiences their all con men or women. Pull your wallet out or open your purse while falling for the bs story will at the very least get you robbed…
I am pretty liberal on most social issues but I never give to panhandlers. You don’t know who is for real and who is a scam. Don’t want to be ripped off. When I see a “homeless” person with a dog, you know that’s a scam because how can they afford the vet bills?? Also I see homeless with an expensive smartphone that I can’t afford myself. If they can afford a dog or a smart phone, they don’t need a handout
Like a year ago most of the panhandlers started waving at you when you were next to them and maintaining eye contact. Definitely organize if they make more money.

Some people have things going on were there not able to work or they may have medical issues were if they get a job on the books they would lose there goverment funded insurance. One shouldn't juge another with out walking in there shoes
I’m sure most don’t make a ton from it, but I’ve learned to block out panhandlers. Some fake it & in general I don’t believe in just handing out money. Don’t be rude to them, but definitely not afraid to say no.
This guy walked up to me at a grocery store, he came out of nowhere. Scared the hell out me. He was dressed better than me. He wanted a few bucks I said oh I am sorry, I don't have anything. He went off on me and said what do you have to be sorry about and yelling at me. I hopped in my car locked my doors and took off. Thank God it was daylight with people around.

Do you know what it's like when you go and apply for a job and just because you're white you don't get it and they hire the Latino over you. And then you try to go get a job at the temp agency and they just say we'll put you on our waiting list for months and months so you have no other option but to panhandle so you can put some food in your stomach and gas in your car. I live in California in my motorhome and have been trying to get a job for about a year now. So it's either panhandle are have no gas or nothing to eat.
So gonna be 100% honest when I say this. At the time I was job hunting and looking at job sites and ads and I kid you not I came across a ad for panhandling. It was base pay plus whatever you made off the street. It was a real thing. So organized, yes. I believe there is more to it though. If I had to guess, someone is collecting most of the money and the people panhandling are getting a portion of the collected cut.
Always remember to carry at least a few coins with you wherever you may go, so that, if you do happen to come across a beggar, you will be able to exercise the virtue of charity... ❤️

I gave a pan handler $15 when I was 20 years old. I also gave $100 to fake charities who called out of the blue.

If you're hungry, I've always got food in my car. Most beggars reject it because food can't be traded for drugs.

I live in a small city, and until recently the only panhandlers was a small group of regulars who were known to community and police. They were never aggressive and generally tolerated. Might see someone 1 or twice a week with sign
Recently groups of new people with more aggressive approach and creative pitches. This cast of characters seems to change often and covers the prime locations almost continuously.

100% certain. Some of them even have cars or vans to give rides to the different "shifts".
People ask why I truly live in the middle of no where..Nearest neighbor several miles away. This video is the reason. I drove professionally for decades doing wide load specialized hauling which took me to every big city hell hole in the US. NYC to LA and everywhere in between. You learn ‘ situational awareness’ real quick. Night time especially…I’m sure theres an exception here and there but my experiences their all con men or women. Pull your wallet out or open your purse while falling for the bs story will at the very least get you robbed…
I am pretty liberal on most social issues but I never give to panhandlers. You don’t know who is for real and who is a scam. Don’t want to be ripped off. When I see a “homeless” person with a dog, you know that’s a scam because how can they afford the vet bills?? Also I see homeless with an expensive smartphone that I can’t afford myself. If they can afford a dog or a smart phone, they don’t need a handout

Like a year ago most of the panhandlers started waving at you when you were next to them and maintaining eye contact. Definitely organize if they make more money.
I support the right to do this if you're actually in need you should have the right to ask for help but faking it I believe like the bus couple yes should be fraudulent

Some people have things going on were there not able to work or they may have medical issues were if they get a job on the books they would lose there goverment funded insurance. One shouldn't juge another with out walking in there shoes

I’m sure most don’t make a ton from it, but I’ve learned to block out panhandlers. Some fake it & in general I don’t believe in just handing out money.
Don’t be rude to them, but definitely not afraid to say no.
This guy walked up to me at a grocery store, he came out of nowhere. Scared the hell out me. He was dressed better than me. He wanted a few bucks I said oh I am sorry, I don't have anything. He went off on me and said what do you have to be sorry about and yelling at me. I hopped in my car locked my doors and took off. Thank God it was daylight with people around.
Pan handlers are so lazy. A lot of them fake a disability. As a disabled person myself, I’m ashamed of them. I don’t pan handle.

Do you know what it's like when you go and apply for a job and just because you're white you don't get it and they hire the Latino over you. And then you try to go get a job at the temp agency and they just say we'll put you on our waiting list for months and months so you have no other option but to panhandle so you can put some food in your stomach and gas in your car. I live in California in my motorhome and have been trying to get a job for about a year now. So it's either panhandle are have no gas or nothing to eat.
So gonna be 100% honest when I say this. At the time I was job hunting and looking at job sites and ads and I kid you not I came across a ad for panhandling. It was base pay plus whatever you made off the street. It was a real thing. So organized, yes. I believe there is more to it though. If I had to guess, someone is collecting most of the money and the people panhandling are getting a portion of the collected cut.

@japanwatchconnection tbh I've been homeless for a few months now and still haven't resorted to begging me and my partner have our car and we will stand out with a sign but we will ask for work and that's all we make alright money it's just that housing prices here are insane
