Output reverb dry levels are different. You set the first on 1.4 dB while the second one is sitting on - 1.4dB.
Hmmm, I think the 3rd DeVerberate is much better than the 2nd - especially in the Voice mode (for voice recording, of course ;) ). I tried many examples from my recordings archive (from my old room without treatment, from the bathroom, from the car) and DeVerberate 3 makes them much more natural and "dry", without so many artifacts . I use version 3.0.3 by the way.
You are absolutely right. In this video I had literally just download it and tried it right there on the spot. The reaction you see in the video was the first time I used 3. After becoming more familiar with the settings, this is a great upgrade. Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience. This one is a keeper
@@PaulMDiaz :) I know what you mean - I also was very confused for the first time ;) Thankfully it was only the first impression ;)
I like the actual voice you recorded this tutorial, how did you record it? I came to this because i listened to a short video Big Z did where he equed his voice but his reflections of his room still where not nice, i asked him if he could deverberate while recording. That’s how i came to your video 😅

@@PaulMDiaz Hey thx for your reply. In the sample you can hear the reflections, in your voiceover there is none, did you managed lots of room acoustic treatment or any special kind of shielding? Your voiceover is perfect, just like in pro audiobooks 👍🏼
@@micromando4669 I have some auralex foam on the walls in a small room. (One car garage that half was converted) It’s not perfect, there’s some low frequency build up but it’s not horrible either. Thanks for asking and for the compliment.
@@PaulMDiaz i have to thank 😀 i really appreciate it
When on Voice, it sounds phasey to me. I only use Deverb on overly reverbed instruments but if Other is just carried from Deverb 2, there's really no point in upgrading.
This video/demo was me downloading and using the trial and recording this video on the spot. My first impression are similar to your take, however after using and learning it a bit more, the new algo works well and the update might be worth it depending on your need, amount used and budget.
Try the demo and set the voice knob low and work your way from there. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching
Result is better. But is it good enough? ty
You’re right! This was my first try at the new version. I wanted to do a first impression video. After spending some time with the new voice algorithm, it’s pretty good. Reverb and echo is a difficult thing to remove. I always approach it with the expectation of taming and reducing, cause complete removal is difficult when it’s as bad as my sample audio where you also have plenty of noise. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts😎

Does it work for drums?
