Imo he prolly was suspicious sometimes but with him being desperate, stress from work and in his relationship, I doubt there was a lot of room in his mind to fully consider that idea. She probably would have been figured out if she stayed longer though.
i mean... no offense but the abused gf story just sounds like the kind of thing someone thinks up to cope with trauma. i've had these kinds of revenge fantasies to get back at people, but they're far too ridiculous to ever be real. i can believe not recognizing someone immediately if they change their hair/glasses but there's no way you could date someone and not then recognize their voice, face, mannerisms, vocabulary, body, etc. Also, as a victim of abuse, I can be the first to tell you that that man would have beat the shit out of her the moment she even tried to stand up against him. i can't even stomach the thought of seeing my abuser, much less date them for three months for "revenge". I'm really sorry she had to go through such awful abuse and i hope she get's the help and healing she needs.
First Story: if he beat you, he deserved it. and three months is nothing, so well done. Second Story: TFW everyone and their mom tells CPS NOT to let that kid go back to THAT parent.... 😶
SO this OP moves 3 hours away then can go to bars with the X who beat her ... Start dating again and he does not know who she is .. DO not buy it for a moment ..
OP claimed her BF would beat her in front of friends. Friends? A stranger with a shred of compassion would not stand by, watching someone being physically abused and not intervene.
Story 2: I called the cops on my father first time I saw him actually hit my mother and not just yell at her as he was wont to do when drunk. Story did not have a happy ending (long story short, he didn't hit anyone anymore, but is no longer with us. I think his ego couldn't take it, because when he came back from the jail, he isolated themselves and after a month or so just left telling us we'll never see him again.). But I don't think anyone can cast a stone, if they haven't been in the situation - and I don't wish anyone to be.
Honestly that abusive Father from the second story is lucky the town didn't just go and drag him out to the street and shoot him. I would've gladly done time to save a family that is being treated like that.
I was thinking OP should have grabed a knife and waited till he got home, and stabbed him in the gut. Well atleast one this is for sure, Satan will have fun with this creature.
1st story: I don't see how ur ex didn't recognize you just after 4 yrs. I have doubts on the story's authenticity

Are you suggesting the people would make up stories like that on reddit for the internet points?
@braith117 although I believe this story is real, yeah people do
First story is absolutely ridiculous! He couldn't recognise his ex!? Because of dyed hair!?
Come on. 🤦🏻
No excuses the Dad in the second story was awful. The dad was had two awful parents though and surprise surprise grows to be an awful person. Tragic.

It's easy to say from perspective of person who is not the victim. Stockholm syndrome is real.

His friends. Don't worry though, that tale of revenge is as fake as a three dollar bill.
deserved, in my opinion
