Please don't disrespect country music by saying that this song is by Blake Shelton.

David Johnson... What's your relationship to Cook? You should back off... You're ruining all his comment sections with all this negativity. He's done a good job with his performances and you should just be proud of him.

Very sad that you're gonna succumb onto the world's way of singing. Don't do it young man use the voice that God's given you to sing for him. I hope you will serve for the Lord and sing from your heart for kingdom of God. God has blessed you with a great gift. Just be sure and use it for him.

Not all of God's voices need to be confined to a church! This may be God's plan, Only he knows! Don't shame the kid for not doing what you think is right! Pray for him along his journey!

Decent voice... The only problem is, it's just another gimmick. Another enunciating northerner putting on a fake southern drawl to accomplish an over saturated sound. The first thing I noticed was how, when asked what song he was performing he replied with "old red", but during his performance it quickly became "ol red". Do I think he is marketable? Absolutely!!! That is the problem with country music today, greedy millionaires like Scott Borchetta basically own what is known as the "country" genre in which true talent is replaced with marketing gimmicks. It is no longer dependent upon record sales but by how many teenagers can be crammed into an arena. Up until the early 2000's to really get noticed you had to WORK hard and be somewhat different from others. You had to offer something that Nashville had yet to see. Today.... The exact opposite, it seems as if to be accepted into the "country" genre you must sound the same and sing the same bullshit songs we have heard over and over in this town!!! Not only that but what happened to the "singer-songwriter" aspect of talent??? The country radio is overfilled with gimmicks that can not only in my opinion not sing, but are also singing shit that other untalented morons write. Anyway I have my opinion as others have theirs lol. And before you ask who I am lol... I am Mike Sanvetose, 20 years experience in the country music industry. I actually worked 12 years at Warner Records here in Nashville. So yes I do know true talent from a salable gimmick.

Allan Lewis in my opinion come to Texas you don't get to see any of this. Especially from a 16 year old and before you say anything I'm pretty sure I'm 16 and I'm dieing over his voice you ain't got none of this in Texas at all. This boy will make a girl fall for him in a heart beat. I'd like to see a video of you singing. Thanks.
