Very well said my friend. And Winnie could always use English in the most effective way. I also recall that classic Headline in the 50s: "Heavy Fog In The English Channel Causes The Continent To Be Cut Off From The UK "
David Cameron's short answer with his 'Erm' sound at 0:11, which makes Ed Milliband upset while he's waiting for 6 seconds to continue making his speech is exactly what that thing is about. Good clip so far.
It looks like Cameron was lying when he said “well the short answer is, we’re not.” They were proposing cuts to mobility allowances for people in care homes and this movie clip dates back before the u-turn, they did a u-turn on the cutting the mobility component of the disability living allowance for those in residential care homes.
Do any of you honestly think Cameron is under any obligation to answer any questions honestly? The fact that this question was submitted and he didn't even prepare an answer for it shows he's fucking lying and doesn't want to spill the beans. And lo and behold, he's practically bringing back eugenics against the disabled.
also, short answer is, they are: I am certainly expecting to lose my DLA within the next few months, which will be a significant struggle for me sinceI rely greatly on it.
@RichardElden I don't see what Bevan getting cancer has to do with anything. One does not catch cancer; it was not a failing of the NHS. Bevan, as far as I'm concerned, was a national hero. He understood politics, he understood the global political situation after WW2, and he understood how to make the country a better place. I don't know what your problem is. Who wishes cancer upon someone, even their political rival?!
Blair vs Cameron that was the last decent QPM because they where so charismatic. Labour needs to put someone up there with a strong platform and the charisma to match
Erm. David Cameron? Theresa May? Harriet Harperson? George Osbourne? And so what if they were ALL of the Jewish religion? What has anyone's religion got to do with their right to be an MP?
@The1985Channel, V.G, sorry but I didn't know who he was till last night. Good to see a politician standing up for his country instead of his own interests. [ just like Alex Salmond].
@RichardElden How is the NHS evil? It's one of the (I would argue THE) most important development in British history. Bevan and Attlee were a great men, a realists and an inspiration. The 1945-51 Labour government understood the realities of the post-war world (Churchill most certainly did not) and wanted to make Britain a better place. The centrepiece of their plan, based on the Beveridge Report, was the NHS. Nobody sane would wish cancer upon their worst enemy, let alone Bevan.
i just love how pissed of Miliband looks. Can't wait for the election 2015 to get a real Tory centre-right government in, even if the polls are pointing to a huge Labour win at the moment. People have such short memories...
@ukipteen I'm a member of the conservatives as I feel they represent my views best (especially compared to Labour and Lib Dems). I won't even consider UKIP until they sort themselves out. They have too many "BNP-lite" members and their ban on total immigration for 5 years is ridiculous. I'd consider voting for them in a decade or so when their party grows up a bit.
@MissDumyat Actually, this government was voted in, because the Conservatives beat Labour for votes, but merely did not reach the amount needed to win outright. The votes counted still tell the truth - Labour had far less than Conservatives. The coalition being formed is perfectly legitimate. What would have been far worse, is if the Labour government, who lost masses of votes to the Conservatives, went and formed a coalition. That would mean the party with the least support was in power.
@BasilFawlty4444 The NHS is under half the cost of the American system, and only slightly less expensive than the French system. It is a fantastic system that can pay for itself, and provides care to all. It is perfectly feasible.
Im 16 and don't know much about political policies and that, but onw thing i do know, is that EVERY politician is a liar, a hypocrite and an aresehole. Anyone who disagrees is either stupid, or has been living in a shed, or both.
Got to hand it to you my friend. great way to put your point of view and how right you are. I would also venture that most places we 'colonised' were better place after their Independence than when we arrived and seeing as most remained in The Commonwealth and others even retained our Monarch as their Head of State your statement stands the test of time.
What is it with the Labour Party voting in idiots as their leaders? At least David Miliband would have given Cameron SOME slight competition over the table.....
@BasilFawlty4444 Ah, now you're getting it. Any healthcare system, socialised, private, a fusion of both (as in many European countries) is a bottomless pit of money. There are 312 million Americans, their country is 37 times larger than ours; their system, even private, is proportional - even considering their collosal near 15-trillion GDP. It does not vary from country to country.
@flameybadger I sometimes think I'd rather pay less NI, Income Tax, VAT etc etc and instead have Medicare Insurance.... so the public sector doesnt always enamour me I'm afraid.
I love the way it cuts out before Miliband can respond, this is why I'm apathetic about politics. It's become a childish game, lets look at statistics and base policy decisions on what works and what you can prove not on who "looked better on PMQs", fuck off.
I'm not English, svennbreng, but I really don't comprehend your argument here. How is immigration genocide? I don't agree with the franchise of globalisation in terms of merchandise, but skin colour, gender, nationality and beliefs garner no reason to be discriminatory. All humans deserve equal rights and an equal voice in society. Anyone who disagrees with that assertion is just inherently racist, and that is a fact.
I don't care how much people slag Ed's appearance or his voice or anything, the man is clearly a step above David Cameron and the tories. I mean quite simply if you voted or have voted for the tories, you are a right wing fascist.
@RichardElden I know that the Soviets were very aggressive - barely even allies! But it was unacceptable to ally with Hitler. Hitler was a very evil man who tried to exterminate a race and occupy Europe! We had to stand up in the face of that aggression. And yes, I know all about the Gulags and the horrors of communism - but ultimately we (by which I mean the US and NATO) defeated the Reds too!
@324wilson Skinner just makes a fool of himself these days. He sits back down looking like a man who's just soiled himself, more so to his own pride and has nothing left to offer his Derby constituents but a bad reputation.
The way he read the reaction of the Commons and decided to sit down after saying "...we're not" was priceless.
Whenever he opens his mouth "Its like watching a clown try and cross a minefield" - MT
As a rule, I hate the tories, but god do I hate Miliband more.
Why do you hate the Tories 'as a rule'? Do you mean, on principle? What principle? (and are you Brit?)
Yes I'm a northern Brit and on principle I am against Tories for closing the mines and centralising financial powers to London.

that's what I was thinking.
The owned look on ed's face lmao
Ed Milliband - fair enough
Say what you like about him, Cameron rocks the shit on PMQs.
@hyenapeptic for the comment or in general?
Cameron is hilarious!
That lot would drown out the noise at a football match, and they run the bloody country!
If Cameron stays as prime minister, i'll leave the fucking planet!

Aside From Ed Bollockbrain HH and Millibean there is nobody i recognise on the front bench of the labour party.

Eds face ! He looks like the little boy sent to sit on the naughty chair !
See the look on Miliband's face there! But please, Labour, don't replace him.
It really sums up the Labour Party.
If Ed Milliband becomes PM, I will seriously leave the country
and this is who the UK will vote for for PM in 2015? Forget that, I'm voting Clegg.
Yea, good luck with that.
Vote nigel

if this guy becomes prime minister...
Don't blame you. He's finally shown his true colours and come out for socialism today. So the 20th century has taught him sweet FA...

Ha ha. He only had scripted questions prepared to espond to a different answer. Panic and humiliation in one facial expression.
LMAO.
