What a window into the post-war Liverpool, @ 2.28 is the top of Lord Street after the second world war bombing. Yet by the mid 1950s the left side from Paradise Street to South Castle street was completely rebuilt in a short time even before regeneration grants were heard of. What an achievement to the people who ran the city back then. I worked in the city centre mid 60s early 70s and recall South Castle Streets wide expanse leading to Canning Place. I often travelled on the old 92B @ 5.00 that used to terminus at the chapel street end of the Pier Head opposite the Liver Buildings. The last bus to Northwood was at 11.55pm. Back then everything seemed to run on time and journey times to the city outskirts a lot shorter than today. Liverpool in the 50s and 60s was a very special place.
Brilliant piece and the background music was superb. Very emotional for me being a Liverpool lad!

There are many Panpipes CD's available featuring Beatle songs (not expensive either)
Seen a woman get hit by a bus reversing out at Mann Island years ago, I was on the top deck of another bus, always bloody happened that 😔
The entire tram system ran off just two diesel generators. Far cleaner than buses.
