    Most say we tragically lose something after childhood that allowed us to behave in purely innocent, joyful ways. Like these two little dancers breaking out into their spontaneous jig. But some still retain the ability. What does it look like in adulthood? It looks like a man, lost in happiness, sitting all by himself, playing his banjo.

    I love this - makes old bones want to get up and jump around - my husband 77 just went and got himself a banjo. Right now, He's at the the looking at it stage and if the 10,000 hour rule holds true then around 90 he'll be there.

    • @Rehdman6444
      @Rehdman6444 7 лет назад +1

      I am curious. What is the 10,000 hour rule? Sounds like something I might want to work into a conversation someday. Thanks. Tell your husband to grab that banjo and start studying!!!

      Kate Bruenner ha ha sounds like my dad bought his first trumpet at 79 he's now 81 and he's getting there the neighbours love him!

      +Rehdman6444 The 10,000 hour rule has been decried, but it proposes that if you spend 10,000 hours practicing any one skill, you will become expert at it. Here's a link to the Wikipage ...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outliers_(book)...but you should definitely read Malcolm Gladwell's book 'Outliers'. it has a lot of good ideas, such as why various ethnic groups were successful when they arrived as emigrants in the US, or why someone who's born at the beginning of the year has an advantage over those born late in the calendar year.
