I didn't know the vampire ring's heal was so small. If only it was based on dealing damage instead of getting kills. Or maybe the soul sapper could be that way to make it better than the vampire ring.
i tried the vampire ring once and i was in Skull cavern getting attacked alot, and after each fight i would look down at my health bar and i could not tell ANYTHING was happening.
it's so hard to decide which rings to use since you only have the two slots. I just recently got the slime hunter ring and I'd been farming ancient seeds with the burglar ring. But I'll be looking into the iridum bond for the triple effects. That sounds really cool- since taking off the glow ring for slime hunter, I've missed having that glow in dark places
I always have the Iridium Band as soon as I can. Slime Charmer's and Burglar's are my two other mainstays. After the Volcano Forge, I combine the above with Vampire's. Good all-around utility setup.
and dont forget, botanist profession makes the soul sapper ring even worse in non qi quest situations, since both salmonberries and blackberries will then be so plentiful, you can basically only subsist off them for your energy needs (other food is likely still recommended though for making sure you not defeated in mines + all too important buffs)
I used a combination of slime charmer + burgler's ring and Crab Shell + Iridium Band. It made the Skull Cavern stupid easy... When combined with Mega Bombs and Life Elixirs from the Dwarf.
Hot Java Ring is defo my personal favorite for a niche reason: it's nice to pair it up with my Crab Cakes stack after I unlock Willy's 5 (or was it 6?) heart event where Gus will sell unlimited Crab Cakes for 3 days, and I usually buy like 300+ (which is more than I need in a save file but eh, worth nonetheless), that way I get +2 Speed every day regardless of what I'm doing (+1 from TSE, +1 from Crab Cakes)
4:14 how is having regular cowboy hats lucky? If i'm right, here is how a topaz ring works: when your character is facing in 1 direction but your cursor is at opposite, when you swing your weapon there is a chance that your attacks "miss" enemies. And Topaz ring would "fix" that.
I feel like the Protection ring is situational to only the volcano, hence why it can be found inside the volcano. Often times magma sprites will team up on you, and they _hurt_ so having 2s of immunity after being hit by one may be the life or death decider if getting hit by a second.
Everyone says to use the burglar ring but I never used it, and I’m basically a golden clock from perfection. Mainly because I have a good setup making me very defensive and bulky but I know if I get rid of it, it will throw me off my groove. And I can’t combine with my other one because it’s an iridium band combined with a lucky ring for the extra luck, and the crab shell is combined with my slime charmer ring
my one big complaint is that the Java ring isnt a ring that just gives you the coffee speed boost permanently. i LOVE this game but by far my biggest complaint about it is, it is completely based on this tight time schedule you have every day and it always feels like you move SO excruciatingly slow. i have to permanently carry a huge load of coffee around in one of my limited incentory slots and it feels like every 2 minutes i have to constantly stopped and scroll back over to the coffee and drink another one.
Hot java ring is great coffee empire anyone 😂. My favorite is defensive ring combine the defense ring + Immunity ring now you can leave your weapon in a chest

Yeah, looks like if you want the effect, try going for the vampiric enchantment on your weapon instead.
You need defense with it. It is pointless to use if you are taking 17 damage per hit.
Another nice thing about the Napalm ring is that its explosions also stun
Yeah....I quit that one after blowing up some stuff on my farm (see warning about Wilderness farm)

Vamp Ring works amazingly with high defense. Double crab rings plus vamp on one of them can give you so much sustain.
