- Honda Racing is pleased to unveil the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP that Andrew and Glenn Irwin will race in the 2020 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, as well as Tom Neave and Davey Todd in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Keeping close to its road going sibling, the race livery is based on the Pearl Black colour, which is available across Honda’s UK dealer network on the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
The Honda team is happy to confirm that its long-standing relationship with Castrol and Akrapovic will continue into another season, as well as Close Brothers and Nova gearboxes. A new sponsor to the team for 2020 is Datatool, who have come aboard through their association with Honda UK.

I’ve got the 2020 sp rr-r bike. There is a recall on it. Just got word from my dealer Friday. recall is for sump bolts loose in the bottom of the engine. Have to replace the gasket and all the bolts too
How does ride or handle? I have 05 cbr 1000rr repsol. The new 2020 fire blade looks nice. I just like the repsol paint job better. Just my opinion

SMOKED the 3 BSB rounds at Donington, against highly developed bikes . . . . . pretty much out of the box. Which means its (Fireblade 2020) not likely to be much good for going to the shops on!
@@TheSudsy i just read a comparison test made by INMOTO in the vallelunga circuit, nearby Rome, in wich the cbr1000rr-r has made the best lap in 1:44,979, then RSV4 1:45,578, V4S 1:46,244, R1m 1:46,418, S1000RR (M carbon wheels) 1:47, 300....
That's it, all the bikes wearing the same tires... Honda has been also the fastest on high speed bend and judged the most sharp chassis/suspension work.... It also is euro5 with R1, instead others that have 100cc more and are euro 4 with shorter final transmission...
@AlexCas Good rply bro.. They don't understand the power of 1000rr-r lol.. In just 4th gear cbr clocked 299+kmph then also 5th and 6th gears left.. to perform fast enough..

Is that separate suspension connected to under the seat? If not please forgive my impressed ignorance of the whole package because it's a work of art. But whatever the answer I'll stick to my much more sedate cruiser (as I'm way too old now) and my happy memories of wilder times on my ZZR1100 which (apparently:):):)))) could do 297k. Very disappointed I only ever got it to 291K. Well not really as I was running out of road.

You probably mean the master cylinder? It's on the bars next to the clutch lever.

@@pikatsyugaming6681 No idea what you mean. The caliper is a Brembo, underslung, sitting under the swingarm and not on top. Easier wheel changes this way. Thumb brake is in the left clipon bar with the master cylinder.

Because this BSB race bike it is based on the standard RRR, not the SP. Since both have the same engine and chassis, race teams can save some money since for racing they wont use the electronic ohlins anyway and use bsb/wsbk spec $15K ohlins

Easily beat kawasaki lol 😂😂 and h2r has supercharged 🤣 by the help of supercharger h2r clocked 400 and if there is no supercharger h2r cannot clocked that speed lol 🤣🤣🤣 And can clock 300 in just 4th gear lol.

Unfortunately will not be a contender. HRC has not been relevant in WSBK for 15 years.
WSBK seems to be a slow burn for the Fireblade this year, due to electronics regulations I think. However SMOKED the 3 BSB rounds at Donington, against highly developed bikes . . . . . pretty much out of the box. Which means its (Fireblade 2020) not likely to be much good for going to the shops on!
