I found out about Potion Permit through your video and immediately downloaded the demo. Taking my time with it so i can savor the content til release. I even showed it to a friends and she also loved the demo. Thanks for always showing us more amazing games. Have a nice day!
Yesss!! Definitely getting Potion Permit on Switch. Playing it on Steam was a bit weird for me lol. It's still a few months away but that gives me time to play Dinkum. :p
I’m definitely planning on picking up RF5 for PC! I got it on Switch but found it too difficult on my eyes with the frame rate issues. I’m prone to migraines, so I always have to turn off screenshake or any distortion effects in any game. I realize lots of people were able to enjoy RF5 on the Switch, but I was really disappointed that I wasn’t, so I’m looking forward to the PC release, although I might wait to pick it up until it’s been patched or modded a bit. :)
I feel you, I also suffer from migraines. Tried Warframe for a few hours and had a 3 day migraine. -_- Fortunately I didn't have too much trouble with RF5 but I'm glad people like you will have the PC option!
I got it for switch too... But I will pass rune factory from now on... This game was a disappointment ☹️ The frame rate, the options to do around town, the fact that you don't have your own farm and have to teleport between the farm dragons, the combat system, the graphics and the festivals... They were just lifeless... 🙁 Got Story of seasons pioneers of olive Town yesterday and have played more hours in it than rf5 😐 I don't mind the looks of a game if the game play is nice...
I'm already buying RF5 a second time haha! I am so happy about all these super close release dates, though. It's gonna be a busy summer. Edit: Regarding Ranchers, I think the art direction for the characters do have this sleazy look to them. It might be on purpose to really lean in to the GTA influence.
Always look forward to your videos, just wishlisted Veil of Dust and will be trying the demo today see if it'd be a fun pick up for summer :) super excited about all the upcoming end of year releases and if you haven't heard about this one there is an upcoming farm sim late summer called Blue Oak Bridges which looks absolutely stunning and handdrawn as well so im hopeful it'll be out late August.
@@JoshGamingGarden It certainly was a hidden gem find haha, definitely can't wait to see how it turns out! And absolutely, i'm always finding new games on here so many kudos!
I actually enjoy all of these games, even more so for Coral Island as I've been waiting ever since they launched their kickstarter. Time to buy all of them when they come out I guess.
The Ranchers looks like a fun game though I can see your reservations about the character art, Josh. To me they look like that hip, trendy clique of kids at school that you neither are a part of nor do you want to be.😄 As a result you don't trust them. Though once you get to know them personally they're just fine! It's amazing how the art style of the characters can really influence one's decision whether to try a game. There's a game out now that has great reviews and the character art is good in general. However I just can't like the protagonist's looks and decided not to get it. Fortunately there are hundreds of other games I like so I'm not missing out. Thanks Josh!
The ranchers section made me laugh so much. "Would you trust this guy?" was the exact same thought I had 😂 and idk why shooting a tree with a rifle made me laugh too. Reminds me of garry's mod.
Great video Josh! Thanks for the update :) It's so hard to keep up with all these news with all these games coming out. Also I laughed at that comment about Bruno in The Ranchers. We don't talk about Bruno XD
Can't wait for potion permit... I was a little interested in it before the demo, but after the demo it could very well be my most anticipated game this year
Looking forward to RF5 since I watched the trailers on steam yesterday and it's in glorious 60 FPS. After 3000 hours of the Switch version, I am unsettled by this. Load screens on an SSD are going to be insanely fast. Also, to your micromanaging point with The Ranchers, I've been playing Rune Factory Frontier for about 15 hours now, and the Runey system, while not difficult to understand, is something you have to dedicate a full game day and 20 real minutes to every 5 or so in game days. It's tedious mostly because using the Harvester holds you in place for about 3 seconds and you have to use it 30 something times on that day. Micromanaging seems fun, but quickly overstays its welcome when it's simply an obligation that interrupts the game you're otherwise enjoying. I can't imagine The Ranchers will avoid this problem with everything we've seen.
Micromanaging can definitely get tedious, unless you get tools to automate it or something! That's part of what makes me a bit skeptical with The Ranchers. As for the Runeys, haven't had much time to play RFF since last stream but hopefully they don't bother me too much!
Thank you for this video!! Im excited for potion permit after trying the demo, and also rune factory 5, maybe I'll finally get it! The ranchers gives me a bit of suspicious vibes and naming a motorbike after kamikazi (which I assume is a reference to kamikaze) is kind of a strike for me :(
I have Potion Permit for a while on my steam wishlist :D Now I just have to wait and decide on which platform I want it, because I have a Switch but als a controller for pc xD
Rune Factory 4 was buggy as heck, but it got a few tiny updates and fixed a couple of its bugs. I couldn't run it properly in spite of meeting the requirements for it. I got the black screen bug. In spite of this I eventually decided to purchase and keep the game even though I originally refunded, because I wanted to fund Rune Factory 5 coming to PC and fund more Rune Factory 4 bug fixes. Hopefully RF5 is better and RF4 gets its blackscreen bug fixed.
I own Rune Factory 5 for switch in both Japanese and English. As slow as my switch is, my pc likes to randomly crash so I think I'll hold back on buying this game for the third time.
dude I just heard about the Rune Factory 5 PC release from you and finished purchasing it before you asked the question. Am I going to buy it again, lol.
i really enjoyed the first bit of the potion permit demo but once i realized the treating patient/potion making takes about a minute, all that was left for me to do was grind resources in the forest. anyone else find that boring? unless they add farming or something, I'll probably skip it, which is a shame.
I think there's more features to be added such as getting married and stuff. But my understanding is the concept of treating patients and grinding is the main concept. But the potions hopefully get harder
Do you trust the Rancher's team? I was thinking of investing in my first kickstarter, but I am scared to lose my money if they don't complete the project. The Rancher's looks amazing. What are your thoughts on the dev team?
@@JoshGamingGarden Wonderful, I look forward to hearing what you have to say; I have a few red flags since they could be using steam to pre-purchase and can run with our money. I also don't know the team's personal lifestyle choices and don't want to judge or anything. I guess what I am saying is since Cyberpunk 2077 disastrous launch in Dec 2020, I am worried about investing in games not fully developed and my level of confidence is low to trust anyone new in the gaming market.
Eh, that Ranchers game still isn't appealing to me. It really does seem like it's trying to be everything. It's trying to be realistic while letting you cut down trees with cars and guns. Plus, I don't think I want the tedium of getting in my car and driving my animal to the festival. I have stuff to do IRL. I don't want to spend 10 minutes doing what is instant in other games.
It's true that all of these little tasks like transporting your animals could get tedious! I'm still pretty skeptical just like you because they really want to do a lot, let's see how it goes!
It's weird that they made the next 4 romance characters for The Ranchers all white. Wish they would have Asian characters for representation, or Indigeneous.
Thanks for announcing our release, Josh! I'm looking forward to your video!
Looks very interesting! I really am liking the art style
Thank you, good luck with the release! I haven't had too much time to play yet, but I'm hoping to get the review out by the end of the month! 😄
@@josie_the_valkyrie Thank you so much! It's really been a labor of love and I'm so excited people can finally play through the whole story :D

yea the pc is smoother, Id never buy the switch version and the switch itself till nintendo updated the hardware revision
SAME! Can't wait for the mods!! 🙂

On Steam sale I got "Swords 'n Magic and Stuff" and Rune Factory 4. After done with them I'll get not-on-sale Sun Haven and Songs of Conquest.
Can't wait untuk Coral Island NDA is lifted so I can finally stream it online. Hopefully it will be soon 🥰

Great video I’m going to have to check out the games you have featured here.
"still some conflict" That is a vast understatement!
I would buy RF5 again if they added New Game+
Unfortunately yes 😔
And I agree, a New Game+, a higher difficulty or any extra content would make me buy it again.
Rune Factory 4 was buggy as heck, but it got a few tiny updates and fixed a couple of its bugs. I couldn't run it properly in spite of meeting the requirements for it. I got the black screen bug. RF5 PC !!!!
I remember how i bought rune factory 4 5 Times.
You should check out slime rancher 2, thanks for your useful videos
Yes I'm looking forward to Slime Rancher 2! I haven't completed the first game yet though, I'm working on it!
I don't have a PC but it would be nice if Nintendo switch can pull there heads out of there ass and create mods for rune factory 5 on Nintendo switch.
