Thank you so much for covering the campaign, Josh! :) I've taken a few notes and will be updating a few things on the Kickstarter to ensure everything is clear! - Zoyji
Wow this looks great. This is a game im genuinely really excited to play! I love games that incorporate town re building mechanics. Side note, I really appreciate your channel and you discovering and sharing all of these simulation farming genre games for us. Thanks!
There's a traditional companion planting method used by Native Americans called Three Sisters where corn acts as a support for beans and squash provides mulch/ ground cover. Pretty cool!
I’m on the fence with this one. It seems very ambitious for a solo dev and we didn’t see much implemented gameplay in the trailer. Will be keeping an eye on it, perhaps they will have more to show :)
I got the early bird entry. I'm uncertain how this game will turn out as it seems like that's a lot of work for not many people, but around $16 isn't a big risk.
I was looking at The Ranchers campaign and the Kickstarter page had "The Gods Fabled" in the "We also recommend" session, so I thought "Omg it seems a good farm game, I'm pretty sure Josh reviewed it!"... and I was right 😄 thanks for the video!!
I like the idea of complimentary crops and the ability to play with conditions in a farming game. Seems like a no brainer for the genre so it is surprising farming games don't usually go there. It reminds me of how things work in a totally different type of game I love, Tropico. In that game, there is also soil quality & degradation you have to pay attention to as well as animals you can ranch nearby to boost the efficiency of crop yields.
Wow! This game looks beautiful and so promising!!! I love the concept and the character designs are adorable!!! Waiting is the hardest part 😭 thank you for sharing this with us!!
Game sounds like it has potential. I’d like to see the farming elements that they mentioned, but I just hope it’s not too easy. I’d like to be able to figure out which crops grow best next to one another and not just told. Too many farming games are extremely easy and I know it’s meant to be cozy and relaxing but that doesn’t mean it has to be super easy. It can still be cozy, yet challenging to keep it interesting and not get boring so quickly.
This looks so cool but harvest moon island of happiness and sunshine islands also had a water/sunshine level mechanics. Though the crops were still seasonal as well.
Looks really interesting! Love combat can be turned off! Will give it a follow for now, but if I back it I'll be sure to go through your link! Fingers crossed it comes to Switch.
The kickstarter looks great, but realistically I don't think thats enough money to develope a game of this scale. The developer lives in a HCOL area too. My partner is a solo dev (along side his full time job, but he is a machine who only takes break to talk with me), his game took 2 years to complete to hit release and was much smaller scale. If I were in a finacial position to support this developer I probably would, but I am pessimistic. I'd like to see him make his goals more realistic. If he plans on working on the game full time, I don't feel optimistic thats enough money to fund his life for 2 years. I can't find any other projects the developer has worked on either, I'd like to see a completed project or two from him to show he has the ability to follow through and complete a project.
I would support them and your Channel I can't afford to do any of that kind of stuff don't even have a home just staying with friends me and my mom are is
My one big nitpick about the game so far is the open world looks big ….but super empty. The big issue I have with open world is it becomes a hassle to go anywhere and then fast travel becomes the main way to get places.especially when it looks this empty (I understand it’s just an announcement trailer and they will likely add more things to the open world , just makes me nervous seeing it since even bigger games fall into this trap, look at harvest moon and even rune factory 5 felt a bit too spaced out)
Looks gorgeous! But wince i dont have a pc i wont donate…. I had already donate for some and even tho they say they will come for consoles the had come on pc early access for a long time ago and not seen nothing for console and some of this game that now they are thinking if they can make it to console or not cus its a tricky situation….. so im sorry kick starter wont get my money anymore
While that's totally fair, just remember that games wont get a console port while a game is still in early access. Ports only come after full release, when a completed game can be ported. Porting companies aren't going do multiple ports when the game is still changing.
@@piperbird7193 you are also correct. I just dont like when they tell you that they are thinking to bring it to consoles on kickstarted… then when they got the money said they dont think they will bring em to consoles.
I will have to be honest. I want to back this game and as of this writing, it already has 51 backers, but it scares me. It seems a wee bit too ambitious for a single person to accomplish. Even more so when I see Genshin-esque landscapes (after what happened with that other dev that "borrowed"from Genshin). I know there are other great games that were developed by 1- or 2-man teams but this seems a bit too big for one person. I will pledge for now, but I'll keep an eye on it to see if they can show us anything else after this trailer. Thanks for the video. :)
Hate to be a negative person, but this seems like another half baked farm game that will probably be finished but will not fulfill all it's promises. Farming looks too ambitious and could be annoying to play. It doesn't seem revolutionary either as other games have elements of this if not all of it in one place. You don't really see proper gameplay as there isn't a single piece of UI in any of the shots. Also nearly all of the shots you see in the campaign page are taken directly from the trailer. It would be nice to see more than what was already in the trailer. They mention combat but don't show a single thing about it. Honestly, it looks like they tacked that on in the end to try to peak interest. Not every farm game needs combat. Did they mention anything about npcs, festivals, friendship, romance, etc? I can't remember seeing it. I hope that they can flesh out the game as it seems like they put 95% on the farming and left little behind for what really brings people to the farm sim genre.
I really like a lot of the ideas, from the more complex farming to the combat toggle, but I'm definitely worried about the "big open world" concept. Games with many details and interesting landmarks like Breath of the Wild were developed by big development teams, so I'd rather the game tries to keep it small. I also don't know whether the open world concept could add anything, unless we don't have to go back to our home to take care of our crops?
Looks cool but I don’t think it’s going to be a game changer to the genre, I’m not seeing many new unique concepts compared to some other games like roots of pacha. Love these kinds of games regardless but I kinda prefer a new take on the genre, same old farming games get stale after awhile.
For me personally, having a game entirely designed, programmed, produced, and placed to market by one person is a red flag for me. Not that it's impossible but it's already halfway 2022 and yet he expects to deliver final product by Jan 2024 (the date of delivery for early access of the finished product is under the rewards section). If it takes large gaming companies several years from design to open beta market for an open world game of this caliber, what makes him think that he can do all the steps in just 1 1/2 years all by himself? Don't get me wrong the game sounds wonderful but...if something sounds too good to be true it usually is.
Good to have many different environments. Sandrock developers just made a boring desert game and I'll wait until it's on Gamepass to play it and never finish it. It looks like she dumped manure on the crops. yuck.
Thank you so much for covering the campaign, Josh! :)

I'm so glad you're covering this one! I can't decide if I want to donate yet or not. I'll def go through your link if I do donate!
Thank you! I can't wait to see how this one evolves!

That's so smart, I didn't know that one, thanks for sharing!

i like farm games that unlock more npc the more you upgrade your town

Thanks for the Video, Josh. I backed this game. It looks really pretty.
This game looks adorable! Love the art style. I really hope this comes to switch and that it gets completed!
This game looks cute and fun so I decided to do the early bird tier.
I love the look of this… but as you say, need it on Switch!
I'm interested in this game. It looks amazing.
Oh this looks so interesting, I really like the style and the animation looks pretty smooth and open world farming game, that's interesting 🤔
I love it when you check CAD prices too! Game looks pretty interesting; I'll consider backing this one - and I'll use your referral link if I do!
Appreciate the video man, yea this game is looking really good. Hopefully it succeeds.
Just used your link, thanks for the in depth look!
Thank you!
Rune Factory 6 is looking interesting. I love it when these types of mechanics all tie in together satisfyingly, so I hope they do.
Wow! This game looks beautiful and so promising!!! I love the concept and the character designs are adorable!!! Waiting is the hardest part 😭 thank you for sharing this with us!!
Yes it'll be such a long wait 😭
id love for this game to get totally funded, it really looks great

@@Lunicia yes, exactly!
I agree, would love a bit of a challenge and a sense of discovery! 😃
Indeed, the chicken is soooo cute
This looks so cool but harvest moon island of happiness and sunshine islands also had a water/sunshine level mechanics. Though the crops were still seasonal as well.
I loved those games. I had to keep a chart though, to make sure I didn't overwater crops.
If anything comes of this, I will be very interested!

magus game has a release date for re:legend but nothing to tell us backers right now
Playing through My time at Portia then Sandrock rn. This looks fun tho.

one person making this game. I wonder if the money goals mean they hope to employ more people. open world is interesting

and hopefully they will make a physical copy and bring to the west to
DUDE! Check out the Harvestella trailer! I'd love for you to do a first impressions video!
I will, as soon as I get back from work! I watched the trailer already though, I'm very excited!
kinda reminds me of yonder
exciting
What are the planned platforms?
Looks cute sadly I can't do donations I need more money I can hardly get my bills
Fantasy world = pointy ears. I saw lots of regular/modern animals, cloth, farm, tools, even a non magical train... but the fantasy...?
It does look good, however, I really am not a fan of Kickstarter anymore cause of all the scams there. Do you trust this one Josh?
I probably would donate if I had money 😅
If it going on Nintendo switch to then i might try it
Hope this cones on switch

No updates in a year, September 2022, same as Re: Legend …funny.

Hm well I'm too spoiled by classic rune factory so if there's no monster fighting, not really interested

Those farming mechanics, which would excite most, would just give me a headache….so hard pass on this game for me
The art looks good, but there is barely any game to show here. I'm wary of backing a project like that.
