To say this rip was requested is an understatement. I also wanted to do this for a very long time. The process of ripping is tedious, takes a long time per song, between recording enough by paying attention to when it loops (and from where if it's not the start), then hack the game manually in an attempt to have every single variant as best as possible, and remove sound effects entirely, then edit each recording to be 2 full loops + tagging. This took a long time, and some of the songs were recorded up to literally 5 times just because it wasn't good enough, with attempts at perfecting the process all over... this stuff takes a lot of time, and I'm happy it's finally done.
They also released relatively close to each other, within a year or so. There’s a good chance the mansion theme was being composed as this game released!
@@cowboyluigi5275 It's definitely Totaka flexing his R&B muscles. Animal Crossing and Luigis Mansion are the first two games that come to mind when I hear these songs. Funnily enough, the three composers who worked on Mario Artist composed for Animal Crossing!
Truly the most underrated Mario game OST, quite literally cause nobody knows this game exists. There are some legit bangers here so funky that I can't help but find myself humming them every now and then. If you were someone in Japan who got to hear it when it came out, y'all were feasting.
I beg all of you white people to listen to earth wind and fire or kool in the gang or YMO. Totaka has a lot of love for soul and R&B tracks from the 70's and 80's (seeing as that was his adolescences)
Ever since about 2 years ago I learned how to emulate N64DD games on the computer, I've been using Paint Studio and Talent Studio ever since and I still love these games. I just wish we got them in the US originally. :)
i mean it’s technically a mario game because they branded it like that but the mario artist series was more of a creative game kit other than renders of him in paint studio there isn’t much mario lol
Thanks again for your efforts with this game's music, it's very much appreciated. I have requested USF rips of it at least a couple of times but so far didn't have any luck, I am sure it's possible because USFs already exist for Paint Studio. Dynamic music is a pain huh! I am sure this is the best we can hope for for now.
Talent bgm 2 has an official track name, maybe all of them do (based on another upload) but I've never played this game. Anyways, it's name is "Po Pi Pa Pi". Sourced from "Nintendo Sound Selection vol.3 Luigi " (CN-P020) Another upload uses this name and names for some others no maybe those are official too?
I think my favourites are the first 10 seconds of talent studio intro and BGM 2 - Body, although it sounds like it might be mislabelled, more like a Pattern tune if you ask me
A lot of the Movie BGMs sound like they'd fit in with the Animal Crossing or DSi system soundtracks. Figures, considering K.Totaka composed all three soundtracks.
Title Screen - Straight RIPPED From "Spice Girls - Say you'll be there" WOW. It's not exact but melody thre.. Artist must have been on a girl band kick lol.
Trying to play N64DD on M64 FZ Plus on android and i downloaded IPL. I also looked up on RUclips tutorials and no one has replied. Can someone help me?
The only confirmed name for a song in Talent Studio is Talent BGM 2 being "Po Pi Pa Pi", which I did not use for consistency as we just... don't have anything else, really. I respect Skyler's work but all of the names without exception are entirely made up and I don't really like that.
@@LuigiBlood Yo, I mean, can you blame me? I mean, I was the 1st person to upload any sort of semblance of the OST to RUclips. There was no known name for these tracks and so my only way to have the names was to come up with them myself.
Also, aren't your names for your track lists also made up technically? So how is what you did any different than what I did? If anything, the names should be consistent as to avoid confusion among people who search for this stuff.

thank you luigiBlood for your efforts, definitely have paid off
thank you so much! you've done the world of preservation a great service
Nice
You put so much effort into everything you do, sincerely, thank you.
Ohh, you are amazing!! :D
This soundtrack was written by the same composer that worked on Luigi’s Mansion. Definitely has the same kind of funky electronic feel to it.

The entire Talent Gallery suite needs to be blasted in the club I'm in such shock at how good this whole 2 hours is

One of the best Nintendo soundtracks - so weird and funky!
yeah it gives serious Animal Forest/Animal Crossing GCN vibes
@MaRoFu 福田 ikr its dope asf!
@@PKSkyler i could totally see big city as an animal crossing track, maybe leaning more towards wild world but still
@@PKSkyler Because it's essentially the testing grounds for the animal crossing music

This was written by the same composer that did the first Luigis Mansion.
@@-ChromeDome- You can kinda tell it sounds like Totaka composed them both on some of the songs especially when you hear totakas song in both games

43:24 Hear that?
That's K.K. DnB before Animal Crossing existed.
Great soundtrack and honestly a pretty fun game too! My little one loves to sit there and color the 3D dinosaur and alien characters for hours lol
1:09:40 genuinely sounds like a nightime hourly theme from Animal Crossing.
Same music composers!
I love Mario music to death and I've never listened to any of this before, thanks for ripping this!
1:58:55 is just pure bliss
1:35:49 - THERE it is!
I freaking love that it has some of the vibes of Totaka's other works at the time, those being Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing
Feels good to finally have a high quality rip of this OST. Thanks Mr. Blood
Awesome to see an updated rip of this game's soundtrack.
Always loved Talent Studio's soundtrack and I'm glad that this has been made!
Thats so great !!! TY! The ost feels like it was done by and for aliens 👽
i adore this ost and have been hoping for clean rips of it for years, thank you for your work here!! 🙏
R&D1 truly is something else
been waiting for this, awesome to finally see it
Time to record this soundtrack on my OLYMPUS DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER WS-853.
I was looking forward to this, thank you.
2:03 Super Mario Maker ❤️
It was originally made for Mario Paint
I will never forgive Stop Skeletons From Fighting for making me listen to this bangers. Love you guys 🥺😳

1:42 Mario Paint?
It's the same as in Mario Maker
You can consider Mario Artist as a successor to Mario Paint, so... yes!
Also, the music composer is the same, mostly, by Kazumi Totaka, so... yes!! xD
More Mario Artist?
This is the last one actually. I ripped all of them. I may upload an all-in-one video for Communication Kit though but it wouldn't be new.
BUT HOW CAN MARIO FUNK?!
1:58:55 is BEGGING to be sampled...
I don't know why, but some of these songs remind me of Tomodachi Life
For real forget at the time at im making this comment but one of them literally made me think about the emotion mechanic in the game
These wouldn't be out of place in Tomodachi Collection.
@1:52:42 you're welcome
Movie BGM 4 has half of Donkey Kong's leitmotif
Hey, isn't this tune used for the opening theme of HG 101 podcast
