I feel like if he put a case and screen protector on the phones because most people have that would be more accurate because most people have screen protectors and cases on their phone
I think this fact will not change for any smartphone for many years to come. Glass will break. And it can even break after only a few cm if there is a nasty little stone in the way..

But I am actually expecting more on the iphone 12, since apple said if it should be 4x more drop resistance. This does not show that at all.
The iPhone 11 Pro actually had less cracks on the back then the 12 pro but I noticed the iPhone 11 Pro had worse cracks on the front so the 12 pro does not really have better durability

I get the impression that an exact flat drop of the iPhone is much more likely to result in cracks. In another youtuber's droptest the first crack also appeared when the phone fell exactly flat, if I remember correctly.

I usually carry my phone on my lap while in my car and sometimes I forget I do. Then when I get out my car I drop it on the floor. I’ve broken my 5s like this. These phones won’t even last a 2 foot drop realistically on a jagged floor. I dropped my 11 pro max in between my car seat without a case and it chipped the side of the phone.

I’m very glad you made a comparison between last year’s Pro and the current Pro. Most RUclipsrs compare with the iPhone 11 that has an LCD display. I wanted to see the comparison between 2 flagship OLED iPhones 👍🏻

This was a little bit weird since I've seen three other drop-tests where it did a lot better. Maybe just got really unlucky.

The results between a few channels have been so different. This has been the only one I’ve seen where the 12 doesn’t withstand a normal 3ft. drop 😳

I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro a few times on its face and it has no cracks and like 1 scratch
