Yea the reality is the performance gains are unnoticeable. I mean yea the extra ram is absolutely welcome but thankfully iOS memory management is so good you'll also never even notice the extra RAM. The 11 Pro is still quite the powerhouse and will remain so for at least another year or two. I'm stuck unfortunately on my 11 Pro until next year but oh well. If you got an 11 Pro you are not missing out.
@@madezra64 I agree on the ram. The moments I’ve feel slow performance were if open like tons of web links (like 50) but more than that no. I never worry about slow performance. For me the most important things are the cameras cause I made a lot of videos. But still the 11 is a beast. I’ve uploaded several cinematic 4K videos and I’m always surprised by the quality that it gives.
I was saying to my wife a while back that I wish the 5s style would come back... IMO it was the best looking iPhone made... when I seen the 12 pro today, I had to get it.
I just want to understand this better. So the 11 series of iPhone, because they used 2.5D glass which curves around to meet the sides of the phone, it makes the bezels look slightly larger while the 12 series uses a completely flat glass panel. I thought I was tripping. Looking at them side by side I could never understand why the 11 looked so much chunkier but that’s because of the glass panels used. I knew it had to do with design but I never could pin point what it was until now
The hour less battery life is a big deal. This is a major downgrade from the 11 Pro and I'm not sure those other minor improvements (in terms of real world usage not benchmarks) will offset it
Man...love this video Max...I was waiting for someone to compare the LTE instead of the 5G...since most of the country still haven’t have 5G...and guys this is the best details about iPhone 12 pro trust me...I have watch all of it...if u wanna see battery comparison like he said watch mystery who boss and camera comparison their a lot out there.
After watching several reviews from other major tech RUclipsrs, I thought “well now I know almost everything about iPhone 12 Pro, what else is there to learn?”... But I am so glad I watched you comparison! You guys do the best detailed reviews for those to whom details matter! Please keep up the excellent job! Now I am really waiting for the full review. P.S. Your Pixel 5 review is great! What you highlighted there might be a dealbreaker for some, so your video is a valuable addition to other reviews 👍
@@chivasregal7331 , I personally upgraded from iPhone 7 Plus (4 years old) to iPhone 12 Pro. With 128GB the price difference is only ~$120, and you get a zoom lens, LiDAR sensor, nicer colours (in my view) for that money.
Guys the best of all is.. you don't need any minor upgrades till the time you are fine with your any iPhone model. All these benchmark tweakings are kept in mind while modelling
It’s strange how iphone 11 looked so chunkier in front of 11 pro because of those bezels and now the 12 pro made 11 pro look a little chunkier as well. That little improvement in design and bezels really makes the 12 look much modern.
I want the iPhone 11 Pro already for a few months now but was waiting for the new one to arrive. Unfortunatelly I don’t quite like the 12 Pro. But is it stupid to buy an 11 Pro now? I don’t want 5G or the MagSafe, but I like a nice camera (upgrading from the iPhone 6). Is the camera a huge thing to buy the 12 Pro instead of the 11 Pro?
@@h8zxck Actually I have to agree with the reviewer about the sound, it is considerably better, I have the 11 Pro Max and 12 pro Max - Sound much better, I see little improvement though anywhere else.
Seen many iPhone review videos and I am pretty much sure this is way too detailed impressive review out there, touching every single aspect that audience like to know. For the same reason no other iPad Air 4 review amused me. I am waiting for MaxTech to drop their review video.
UPS has fumbled my delivery so I’m still waiting for my iPhone 12 Pro and using MagSafe. I don’t really care about the charging speed, I’m more concerned about the alignment and not finding an uncharged phone in the morning. I have a an Anker 45w charger if I need a fast battery bump.
Most of the tech channels have not recommended upgrading from Iphone 11 Pro. You are the only one so far who has categorically given his opinion to upgrade. I was resisting myself so far but having seen your video, I am jumping. I will let you know honestly, if your opinion was worth its salt in a few days.
@@MaxTechOfficial So here I am with the update. I honestly did not feel much of a difference between 11 pro and 12 pro but I think it's the kink of a brand new iPhone that is hard to resist. Build quality is definitely stellar but 11 pro was excellent as well. Pacific blue colour is also awesome but then it remains under a case most of the time. Camera is better in low light situations but generally pics are the same in well lit situations. Battery life is not bad at all and I can very easily manage the day with my use case of 3 to 4 hours of SOT. So all in all happy to upgrade and thanks for making the decision easier for me. Cheers 😊
@@guniganaa516 hey guys, any of you know if the iPad air 4 gonna bend or not? It is so good , but it has got squared off edges. The iPad pro bends and snaps so easily!
Also, you should run the speed test for the modems at separate times, as if you have a deprioritize plan, the 11 pros status on the network may be downgraded. My 11 pro is faster then that 12 in the lte test on T mobile
Thank you for the comparison! Now I know I’d better keep my 11Pro for another year as it has slightly changes in 12Pro. I just hope the next year iPhone body design is similar to this one. I really impress how 12 versions looks!

I watched some german comparisons and they never got so detailed. I thought "Well it's the same phone, but a different design. And without charger and earphones" But now i'm really thinking "Wow they improved everything". Thanks for the great comparison!
I am considering the same. I have an X now and it functions fine. The only thing I see the 12 Pro lacking is 120 refresh and possibly a fingerprint reader for this new mask wearing world. What is driving your decision to wait? Are you waiting for additional camera upgrades? Maybe another year of 5G network and iPhone 5G equipment maturity?

@@mrplasma7094 Why dude I have an 11 max pro and honestly this is probably the worst upgrade ever. The phones look very similar, if anything the 11 looks sleeker while the 12 has a more old fashioned side.
I feel kind of bad ab buying the iPhone 12, it’s an upgrade from iPhone 7 Plus though. I feel like I should’ve waited for the 13 since there was nearly no change from 11 to 12, but I did like the square edges. But I’m exited anyways haha

I just bought the 11 Pro. Love it. Returned the iPhone 12 mini because of disappointing battery. I have small hands and I don’t find the square design comfortable.
I hope you could tell us more about your experience with battery life with LTE in both phones and if it posible 3G or 5G with the iPhone 12 pro. Please
Q1. How are you going to be on 5G constantly? Q2. 1 hr difference under gaming /video usage. Are you playing game the entire day? Feel free to skip the upgrade but I just feel many people just nitpick on the minor change to a smaller battery capacity and amplified to a deadly flaw...
I don’t think it’s worth upgrading from the 11 Pro - the 11 Pro is still a great phone. However, what this does show is that in almost every respect, the 12 Pro is better (minus battery life). So if people waited out but were considering the 11 Pro, the 12 Pro is a clear win. Much better value overall. However, the standard 12 is just fantastic. It’s definitely the value king this year I think, which makes the decision quite hard.
@@techfragrancemarvelfan3104 but an update that significantly slows the model before seems very unlikely. Maybe a very very very slight difference but not big enough. If you’re talking from a X I can agree. But 7 to 8 owners should upgrade if they can.
@@maddcrz huh?? What’re u talking abt... I had replied to the og comment saying that perhaps the 11 Pro has slowed down due to a software update. I wasn’t talking abt which iPhone owners should upgrade... lol

Never do speed tests concurrently. The antenna scheduler may decide against one device or another based on a lot of factors. I would suggest you go 3 rounds: phone1, phone2, phone1, phone2, phone1, phone2. It would be optimal if both devices were on the exact same plan and of course on the same carrier, as prioritisation between plans and prepaid/postpaid is a thing and can also throw your results off by such a margin that would make the comparison useless.

Hi
Just upgraded to the 12 from an 8 plus and I’m loving it
Yea but lack of RAM in 11 Pro. Apple should've gone with 6 gigs in 11 Pro. So the overall OS is slow and not much apps hold in background.
I was saying to my wife a while back that I wish the 5s style would come back... IMO it was the best looking iPhone made... when I seen the 12 pro today, I had to get it.
Well... that’s a comparison man!!! Congrats! Haven’t seen such a full comparison for years...and I comment in the first 5 mins...! Well done
I knew it had to do with design but I never could pin point what it was until now
I live in a real rural area so seeing the new speeds from the modem on the 12 alone is worth the purchase for me
Yes I totally agree
Android have that modem from 2 years.Wait for December new galaxy S21 will come with new qualcomm modem so Iphone's will be outdated again.
To everyone complaining about the chargers not included: I have 3 unused chargers in my house, lol

What iphone could you take finally?11 pro or 12 pro?
@@chivasregal7331 , I personally upgraded from iPhone 7 Plus (4 years old) to iPhone 12 Pro. With 128GB the price difference is only ~$120, and you get a zoom lens, LiDAR sensor, nicer colours (in my view) for that money.
This is just the video I want to see! I just upgraded from 11 Pro to the 11 Pro and I love it!

iPhone 12: we can’t innovate anything.. let’s add magnets 🧲
It’s strange how iphone 11 looked so chunkier in front of 11 pro because of those bezels and now the 12 pro made 11 pro look a little chunkier as well. That little improvement in design and bezels really makes the 12 look much modern.
To everyone that is reading this:
Hope you have a great day!
Finally!!!!!! Silver comparison....been waiting for this like forever
What is the best iPhone to buy ? What iPhone do you personally use ? Thanks

Don't worry, it will never happen. It's Apple after all.
Most of the tech channels have not recommended upgrading from Iphone 11 Pro. You are the only one so far who has categorically given his opinion to upgrade. I was resisting myself so far but having seen your video, I am jumping. I will let you know honestly, if your opinion was worth its salt in a few days.
Thanks reply back to this comment to let me know your thoughts!
Cheers 😊
The white iPhone 12 Pro really is a stunner!! I hope I can upgrade this time from the 6 i always plan to do but never get to do it lol🤞🏻😬

The modem is not a snapdragon . That's a Apu. The iPhone 12 is using a Qualcomm x55 modem, still better then the Intel modems of previous phones
I have an iPhone 12 pro, how can it charge on a flat like charger without a charger plugging it in?
Best comparison I have seen so far
What OS version is the iPhone 12 running? The iPhone 11? Are they clean installs?
How are you testing Neural Engine performance? ML accelerators?
Lowkey look exactly the same 😂 all they did was change the screen and add 5g and a inside magnet and called it the “iPhone 12”
All Samsung did was move the camera hold from the corner to the middle and call is a s20

thanks for verifying my decision to wait for 1 year when the 11 came out, max, great comparison!
I am considering the same. I have an X now and it functions fine. The only thing I see the 12 Pro lacking is 120 refresh and possibly a fingerprint reader for this new mask wearing world.

Are you waiting for additional camera upgrades? Maybe another year of 5G network and iPhone 5G equipment maturity?

I hope you could tell us more about your experience with battery life with LTE in both phones and if it posible 3G or 5G with the iPhone 12 pro. Please
Battery life is my top priority. Can’t imagine how bad the 12 will be if I am constantly using 5G. I will skip n wait for 1 more year
The 5nm chip is supposed to make up for lost mAh capacity with power efficiency than 7nm chips. Is it going to work? Who knows.
Q1. How are you going to be on 5G constantly?
Q2. 1 hr difference under gaming /video usage. Are you playing game the entire day?
Feel free to skip the upgrade but I just feel many people just nitpick on the minor change to a smaller battery capacity and amplified to a deadly flaw...
My son says it’s the best battery he’s ever had in an iPhone yet.
Why do I upgrade my iOS knowing it reduces battery life? My iPhone 11 pro max now needs charging daily. Major difference between new iOS and old one.
This is what I am waiting for, best and very detailed comparison...
The geekbench scores relieve me. On the GeekBench website most of the iPhone 12 Pros seem to be scoring in the 3000-3800 range for multicore...
When you get in the iPad Air 4 can you compare it to Galaxy tab s7? BTW great content👍
It’s definitely the value king this year I think, which makes the decision quite hard.
peacewalker99 I agree 🙌🏾

Never do speed tests concurrently. The antenna scheduler may decide against one device or another based on a lot of factors. I would suggest you go 3 rounds: phone1, phone2, phone1, phone2, phone1, phone2. It would be optimal if both devices were on the exact same plan and of course on the same carrier, as prioritisation between plans and prepaid/postpaid is a thing and can also throw your results off by such a margin that would make the comparison useless.
