Underneath the AM/FM radio there is a clock. Isn't this the timer controls for the diesel powered hot water circulator? In cold weather you set the timer for up to 2 hours before you plan on starting the bus so the block has been warmed by hot water to aid in engine starting. A bonus is you have instant heat as soon as you start it up.
