Love, love, love the video. I run a Cattle farm ha ha .... The better way to process game is to let it age/hang for a good ten days at ~35° to 40°. Yeah gamey taste can be off set a bit with a little twist of lemon while processing and cooking. Cooking with lots of cracked black pepper can also offset a bit of the gamey test but tastes peppery. I was raised on gamey meats moose, caribou, dull sheep. I found the best way to eat wild game is to jerky it and the best way to cook it is let it freeze it which helps break down the fibers, then thaw slowly and tenderize the puppy water out of it; then bread it like country fried stake with mashed taters and fresh green beans. 🤟😁🤟
Hallo Tater, take care of family and give them boys boys som great time. Quality time like that you can’t get later. Because in a blink of an eye those boys are grown mans!
Wade the best video yet! You’re such a great husband and father, you care about family first! Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to see the rest of your trip! Kevin
OMG, when I saw this title on this video. I started to smile and knew I was going to be laughing. I love your family vacations. I love you guy's, so funny ! Great job, great video !
Nothing better than a family travel vacation! My parents would go from Idaho to Washington DC and New York in a RV every decade or so with us kid's and see all the sights in between, it'd take 4 to 6 weeks to do it all. You'll have to come a little farther west on your next one to Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Craters of the Moon National Monument, and Glacier National Park and all the sights in between. Really like your family videos!
It's great to see someone enjoy them self as much as you did. The smile on your face told the story even if you didn't speak a word. Glad you took the time for yourself, it's something you'll never regret.
My kids said..."You drug us cleeeaar out here just to see the biggest hole in the Earth!"🤣🤣 I have been hoping there would be a vacation video every since Ms.Anne posted some teaser pixs. Now to find out there is enough footage for a series of videos. Awesome!! and I can't wait!! Thanks for bringing us all along. Beautiful world we live in!
When your someone that takes care of everyone else your pressure point is much higher than the norm. When it is about to burst you have to have self care. Good for you. Beautiful vidja
We were just out there to! The 2nd thru the 11th. It is amazing country! Took a buddy that had never been there. His reaction was awestruck like yours! Glad you got to unwind and recharge! Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work 👍
Great vidgs I think I speak for most here Wade but had them mountain goats came towards you in your bedroom slippers just the pure thought of how much enjoyment us as viewer's would have gotten would have been great Especially had Mommy as you call your wife had been there to filmed the footage no harm to you or your family in any way would have won you the 100Grand on AFV keep up vidgs we love them
I love this adventure you and your family, I know on it's the history of the Western States and I live in Arizona so I know exactly how dry it can be ,but it is beautiful to me. Keep them coming!
Visiting my brother in Indiana one day, we all piled into the car and headed off to the Dunes National Lakeshore. My brother started down one of the hiking trails and my dad said "I didn't know we were going to hike! I'm just wearing my slippers!". After that day we always referred to my dad's hiking slippers.
Awesome Wade!!! You are giving me more ideas on where to go when we get a chance to cross the pond 🇬🇧🇺🇸 You had some fantastic footage so far, I have no idea where Calvin gets his sense of humour from either...... 🤔😂 Interesting to get up close to the 85t dumper, I did get the chance to ride in one many years ago, it felt like you were in a moving house 🤯😂
Wade, looks like somebody beat you to the "Bad Lands" and clear cut it before you got there !! LOL What a fantastic view II If something like that doesn't prove there is a GOD, I don't know what will !! Be safe, enjoy and do't forget to SMILE 😁
Wade disproves what a great father, a great person, and a great husband you are. Them their boys are lucky to have a dad like you, and your wife is lucky to have you and your lucky to have her
Best vacation ever even if I've been there before visiting the inlaws. Your story telling is wonderful. A completely different side of you. Loved your family. Thanks so much for sharing.
Man that is some awesome scenery. You definitly need to take a vaca and get yourself rested up. Work will take care of itself . Those mountain goats are neet as long as they stay to themselves. enjoy your trip and stay safe .
Hello Tater and family I am so looking forward to watching this with G-man in just a little bit. I love you guys so much we both do. Glad to see you took a trip out west with the family.! It’s always fun out there we love to go out there haven’t been out there in a few years now. We’re looking forward to taking our kids out there hopefully soon. Thank you for sharing it with us. God bless you guys Pokey Bear and G-man always
Wade, that is what I us to do once a year. Tired of the rat race, and take two weeks with the family. Your health is more important, to your family and you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Enjoyed this video! My whole family was giggling. We did a 2 week week western vacation last year and had a blast. Badlands, Wall, Black Hills were part of it. We really enjoyed revisiting by watching your video. Can'twait to see your next vacation videos!! BTW, We walked over a bridge in the Badlands that a rattlesnake was under. We never saw it but there were some people trying to get it to come out. So...mommy's fear of seeing a rattlesnake were completely valid. 😃
I hope you drove up Spearfish Canyon. In my opinion it was the most scenic road in that area. We drove Model T Fords all the way up to the top where we toured a old mining ghoust town. Great video. Thanks
Your alright Logger Wade, I don't care what Mike ( dirt perfect) says about you. ! Your on my bucket list as a national treasure. Someone to meet one day but let's make it soon cuz I've got some years on you. Keep Smiling.!
Haha nailed this vidja! All except Wall Drug… nothing but a tourist trap lol. My brother lives just Nw of Devils Tower 30 miles. Great place to vacation but winters suck hard! There’s a pretty neat sawmill company there in Hullet that you can tour. Looking forward to the next one!
Hi wade , what i liked best is yer got some time off to be with mommy and the boys, you been abit stressed lately so good for you to have a chill time, mommy’s looking trim 👍you and the family stay safe mate, mr Kev 🇬🇧
Wade I’m glad you enjoyed your vacation. Drove right past me. You definitely need to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy the beautiful country that god gave us! I have been to North Dakota and up there it feels so quiet compared to Denver I loved it.
You guys were about 125 miles southeast of my location when you were in Rapid.......about 80 miles north of Deadwood, 60 miles (as the crow flies) from DT...(Devil's Tower) 😁😁😁
Took a few of those roads thru the ted river valley in Colorado years back....was a blast and sketchy....made the girlfriend get out and walk in one section she was freaked...
Wade, you make us all smile. I live up on the north shoulder of Pike's Peak at 10,000 feet elevation. You'd definitely need an oxygen bottle up here. LOL Pike's Peak is 14 thousand plus. Do you think Mommy got sick because of the elevation and not because of the bison? Anyway, it's interesting that you journal, most men don't. Getting out in the middle of nowhere has the same impact on you as it does on me. Nothing like it for getting centered. Love the vids, keep them coming. Be healthy, stay safe and many blessings, Morgan in Colorado
I am so glad you take the time to video your vacation, I love to see the family together and the places you visit! You have great content and break it up from logging, to the mill, anything in between, awesome channel!!
I know how you feel not being able to breath Wade I went about 60 miles west of Colorado Springs to climb a tower crane higher on a new cement factory they were building. The winds were blowing over 60 mph for several days we couldn’t climb the crane so we went sightseeing I can’t remember all the little towns we drove around and visited one was 7100’ above sea level. Visited a old hotel where the manager showed us the rooms where John Wayne, Glenn Ford, James Stewart, and John Belushi stayed in while they were filming different movies close to there. Went up to almost 11,000’ and walked in the snow for about 50 yards and was seeing stars by the time I got back to the car the guy with me was a smoker and it toke him about 10 minutes longer than me to get back to the car and we went straight back off the mountain so we could breath. The town we stayed in was just above a mile above sea level can’t recall the name. The next day it took me almost an hour to climb up 50’ of crane tower to get to the top. We rode the hook of the crane up most of the way and then started to climb the ladder up the last 50’. Finished climbing the crane up in high winds so I wouldn’t have to climb back up the next day. I live in Georgia and was in great shape at the time boy was I wrong that was about 20 years ago, now I would drop dead if I tried that now. Great video brother God bless and smile.
You'd love Washington State (especially the Olympic Peninsula) and you'd think your trees were more like big bushes once you got back home. Also, my guess is that those shocks on the Cat were nitrogen charged and regulated?
Wished I knew you were going that direction we have a daughter in Riverton Wyoming it's a beautiful beautiful state you are right there glad you had such a wonderful trip you want to go back one day cuz you didn't even see 10%
Great video Wade, making those memories with the family. Look forward to the others, seeing some of Gods great creations, Hey, good thing you dint run into ol’ Liz Cheney and her dad there in Wyoming, if you remember last fella that went hunt in’ with him Ended up pickin shotshell bb’s out of his face. Take care
Some folks don’t like wild game if they know what they’re eating. Anne was probably that way. Growing up I ate beef, chicken and hog meat( that’s pork to y’all city folks) deer, turkey ,rabbit and squirrel. We raised or hunted it killed and cut it up ourselves. That’s about as organic and hormone free as you can get.
Cat 797 is the most biggest truck that caterpillar makes my papaw worked for caterpillar un till 20009 then he retired from Carolina cat in Asheville NC
Sometimes the best thing to do is to get away and forget the rest of the world for a bit .glad to see everyone is doing well and them boys are getting big they will be be grown before you know it ,so good for you guys spend as much time as you can together.

Driving though Wisconsin is very nice place. We are going out to black hills next summer.
Some of those trucks have locomotive size engines @ 192 liters displacement around 4000 HP, they don't run fast about 1500 RPM but they don't need to.
Can't wait for more of this kind of video as I can't walk far and your giving me an insight on it all. Ty vm
Youre blessed man.🤙🇺🇸

Cat 777g with a c32 engine. Struts are oil filled with a nitrogen charge on top to a certain pressure to control ride height.
